Right eigenvalue equation in quaternionic quantum mechanics

We study the right eigenvalue equation for quaternionic and complex linear matrix operators defined in n-dimensional quaternionic vector spaces. For quaternionic linear operators the eigenvalue spectrum consists of n complex values. For these operators we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the diagonalization of their quaternionic matrix representations. Our discussion is also extended to complex linear operators, whose spectrum is characterized by 2n complex eigenvalues. We show that a consistent analysis of the eigenvalue problem for complex linear operators requires the choice of a complex geometry in defining inner products. Finally, we introduce some examples of the left eigenvalue equations and highlight the main difficulties in their solution.Comment: 24 pages, AMS-Te

Perancangan Dan Pembuatan E-commerce Pada Toko Tiga Jaya Elektronic

A Variational Fock-Space Treatment of Quarkonium

    Get PDF
The variational method and the Hamiltonian formalism of QCD are used to derive relativistic, momentum space integral equations for a quark-antiquark system with an arbitrary number of gluons present. As a first step, the resulting infinite chain of coupled equations is solved in the nonrelativistic limit by an approximate decoupling method. Comparison with experiment allows us to fix the quark mass and coupling constant, allowing for the calculation of the spectra of massive systems such as charmonium and bottomonium. Studying the results with and without the nonAbelian terms, we find that the presence of the nonAbelian factors yields better agreement with the experimental spectra.Comment: TEX, no figure

Cooperation In Resource Management Planning: A Model Process for Promoting Partnerships Between Resource Managers and Private Service Providers

    Get PDF
This study presents a modified transactive planning process intended to improve communication and cooperation between public sector resource managers and private sector businesses that serve visitors to an outdoor recreation resource. The elements of the transactive planning process are illustrated and applied in a case study approach with the U.S. Forest Service and commercial outfitters adjacent to a forest recreation area. Outcomes of the planning process indicate that public managers and private businesses share many of the same management goals and concerns. They also agree they can and should address these concerns cooperatively. Results of the study indicate that this transactive process: (1) can promote cooperation and improved communication between public managers and private sector service businesses, and (2) can be effectively integrated into the implementation phase of the traditional allocative planning model on which most public resource agencies rely. Strengths and weaknesses of the transactive planning process are discussed

Retail value of wholesale meat cuts is influenced by quality and the proportion of lean, fat and bone. Wholesale cuts vary widely in value; for example, loins and ribs sell for more than rounds, rounds more than chucks, and chucks more than flanks, plates, or briskets. This value difference has prompted many attempts to find breeding and feeding systems that will increase the proportion of high-priced cuts. Results shown here characterize the composition of carcass wholesale cuts from 14 breed combinations that were part of a cattle germ plasm evaluation program at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, Clay Center, Neb. The program involved breeding Hereford and Angus cows by artificial insemination to Hereford, Angus, Jersey, South Devon, Limousin, Charolais and Simmental sires to produce three calf crops. Calves averaged 215-daysold at weaning and were fed an average of 243 days before slaughtering

Pure Gravitational Wave Estimation of Hubble's Constant using Neutron Star-Black Hole Mergers

Here we show how H0H_0 can be derived purely from the gravitational waves (GW) of neutron star-black hole (NSBH) mergers. This new method provides an estimate of H0H_0 spanning the redshift range, z<0.25z<0.25 with current GW sensitivity and without the need for any afterglow detection. We utilise the inherently tight neutron star mass function together with the NSBH waveform amplitude and frequency to estimate distance and redshift respectively, thereby obtaining H0H_0 statistically. Our first estimate is H0=86−46+55H_0 = 86^{+55}_{-46} km s−1^{-1} Mpc−1^{-1} for the secure NSBH events GW190426 and GW200115. We forecast that soon, with 10 more such NSBH events we can reach competitive precision of δH0/H0≲20%\delta H_0/H_0 \lesssim 20\%.Comment: 13 pages, 10 figure

Perancangan Dan Pembuatan Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan Pada Maple Leaf Centre

Maple Leaf Centre library still use manual way to borrow and return books. Maple Leaf Centre library has a software-based desktop application, but it is not used because it does not fit the needs of the library. In searching catalog system, user get difficulty to get information about library collection. In addition to the need to catalog search system, it is necessary also means proper circulation to facilitate the circulation of books and improve the quality of the library. In this final project, I'm developed the website of Library Information Systems. The design is developed by using Power Designer 15. Interface website is created by Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. The software is created by Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and MySql for database server. Library Information System Applications for Maple Leaf Centre has been implemented include the manufacture admin and generate reports. That feature have been made include procurement module, collections processing, circulation (lending transaction, return transaction, extension transaction, reservation transaction and fines payment transactions), member area, and FAQ

Kinetics of four-wave mixing for a 2D magneto-plasma in strong magnetic fields

We investigate the femtosecond kinetics of an optically excited 2D magneto-plasma at intermediate and high densities under a strong magnetic field perpendicular to the quantum well (QW). We assume an additional weak lateral confinement which lifts the degeneracy of the Landau levels partially. We calculate the femtosecond dephasing and relaxation kinetics of the laser pulse excited magneto-plasma due to bare Coulomb potential scattering, because screening is under these conditions of minor importance. In particular the time-resolved and time-integrated four-wave mixing (FWM) signals are calculated by taking into account three Landau subbands in both the valance and the conduction band assuming an electron-hole symmetry. The FWM signals exhibit quantum beats mainly with twice the cyclotron frequency. Contrary to general expectations, we find no pronounced slowing down of the dephasing with increasing magnetic field. On the contrary, one obtains a decreasing dephasing time because of the increase of the Coulomb matrix elements and the number of states in a given Landau subband. In the situation when the loss of scattering channels exceeds these increasing effects, one gets a slight increase at the dephasing time. However, details of the strongly modulated scattering kinetics depend sensitively on the detuning, the plasma density, and the spectral pulse width relative to the cyclotron frequency.Comment: 13 pages, in RevTex format, 10 figures, Phys.
