In-medium formation of quarkonium
We confront preliminary RHIC data on J/Psi production in nuclear interactions
with expectations which follow in scenarios involving charm quark recombination
in a region of color deconfinement. The focus is on transverse momentum and
rapidity spectra of the J/Psi, which carry a memory of the spectra of the charm
quarks. In such a scenario, one predicts that both spectra will be narrower
than those expected without recombination. Preliminary results for the
transverse momentum spectra point toward a preference for the recombination
picture, while the rapidity spectra do not exhibit any narrowing within present
large uncertainties. We present new calculations in the recombination model for
the centrality behavior of these signals, which map out the necessary

Características físicas e nutricionais da matriz de encapsulamento na produção de sementes sintéticas de pimenta-longa (Piper hispidinervum C. DC.).
A pimenta-longa (Piper hispidinervum C. DC.) é um arbusto da família Piperaceae, nativa da região amazônica, que vem despertando o interesse das indústrias de cosméticos e bioinseticidas pelo alto teor de safrol, óleo essencial extraído das folhas e talos. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a influência de características físicas e nutricionais da matriz de encapsulamento durante a produção de sementes sintéticas de pimenta-longa. Sementes germinadas de pimenta-longa foram utilizadas como material de encapsulamento. Em ambos os experimentos, a influência da constituição (água ou meio Murashige e Skoog) e consistência da cápsula (alginato de sódio 1% ou 2%) e do tempo de complexação (10, 20 e 30 min) em CaCl2, na abertura das cápsulas, foi avaliada. Depois de encapsulados, os materiais foram transferidos para frascos com meio de MS e mantidos em sala de crescimento, onde, quinzenalmente, foi avaliada a taxa de emergência e crescimento das plântulas encapsuladas. Verificou-se que o emprego de um endosperma artificial composto por 1% de alginato de sódio em meio de MS foi o tratamento que promoveu os melhores resultados para a emergência e posterior crescimento de plântulas oriundas de sementes sintéticas aos 30 dias da semeadura em meio MS sólido, independentemente do tempo de complexação utilizado
Service design from staffing to outsourcing
The term outsourcing has become a conventional means of describing anything associated with the transaction of services that enables client organisations to blur core activities and thereby reduce their internal workforce and costs. The main objective of this study is confirming a gap in detailed and spe-cific reviews of formats and economic transactions through non-standard forms of employment, namely in a service design model from Staffing to Outsourcing. The literature review was performed using text mining and topic modelling techniques to group relevant topics and decreases the likelihood of human bias, while bringing robustness to the analysis. Efeito de agentes geleificantes alternativos no meio de cultura no cultivo in vitro de abacaxizeiro e bananeira.
Com este trabalho, objetivou-se avaliar a ação do ágar e sua substituição parcial e total pelo amido de mandioca na composição de meios de cultura de bananeira e abacaxizeiro. Gemas axilares de abacaxizeiro, cvs. Rio Branco e Quinari foram estabelecidas e avaliadas por quatro subcultivos quanto à multiplicação em meio de MS, suplementado com 2 mg.L-1 de BAP e 0,25 mg.L-1 de ANA, e os seguintes tratamentos: M1: ágar (5 g.L-1), M2: ágar (2,5 g.L-1) + fécula de mandioca (60 g.L-1), M3: fécula de mandioca (60 g.L-1), e M4: ágar (2,5 g.L-1) + fécula de mandioca (30 g.L-1). Num segundo experimento, por três subcultivos sucessivos brotações de bananeira da cv. Grand Naine foram avaliadas quanto à multiplicação em meio de cultura composto por: MM1: ágar (6 g.L-1) ; MM2: ágar (3 g.L-1) + fécula de mandioca (30 g.L-1); MM3: fécula de mandioca (60 g.L-1) e; MM4: meio de consistência líquida estacionário.Estes meios foram suplementados com 0, 2, 4 e 6 mg.L-1 de BAP. Para o abacaxizeiro, verificou-se quea substituição total do ágar pela fécula proporcionou resultados similares aos obtidos com o tratamento com ágar. Na combinação ágar + fécula os resultados foram inferiores aos obtidos com os solidificantes usados isoladamente. Para a bananeira, o uso isolado ou combinado da fécula com ágar não proporcionou melhora nas taxas de multiplicação. Os melhores resultados foram obtidos em meio com ágar e 2 mg.L-1 de BAP. O cultivo em meio líquido apresentou o menor índice de multiplicação

Patient centricity as strategy to improve quality of service in healthcare management
The patient experience in hospitals regarding treatments of breast cancer can impact their personal strengths to gain motivation to overcome cancer. The goal of this project was to assess the user experience with breast pathology in terms of healthcare and motivation. To evaluate the patient experience, several interviews were conducted with patients with breast pathology during their journey at the institute. This analysis is associated with the ambition not only to better understand the users but also to improve their provision of healthcare. As a result, interviews with health professionals and user family members were also carried out. The interviews were carried out in a semi-structured manner, allowing the parties involved to freely identify what they believe are the major constraints and strengths. The results show that internal process optimisation, professional training, infrastructures improvement, information sessions and co-creation sessions can improve quality of service in healthcare management.info:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersio
PHENIX results on jpsi production in Au+Au and Cu+Cu collisions at =200 GeV
Heavy quarkonia production is predicted to be sensitive to the formation of
the quark gluon plasma in relativistic heavy ion collisions via competing
mechanisms such as color screening and/or quark recombination. During 2004 and
2005 RHIC data taking periods, the PHENIX collaboration has measured jpsi decay
into lepton pairs both at mid and forward rapidity in Au+Au and Cu+Cu
collisions at =200 GeV. We present the jpsi nuclear modification
factor and the \jpsi mean square transverse momentum as a function of the
collision centrality for both systems, as well as the rapidity dependence of
the jpsi yield for different centrality classes. It is compared to different
theoretical predictions. All Au+Au and Cu+Cu results shown here are

Events and festivals contribution for local sustainability
Festivals can improve the image of host communities, making them an appealing destination and boosting local economy. However, it is hard to measure their actual impact, which is a key factor to justify governments’ initiatives. This study aims to verify how accurate direct expenditure analysis can be. First, the impact of new visitors’ expenditure is calculated based on a survey. Then, consumption indicators are used to forecast the actual economic impact of the festival. Finally, both results are compared. Even though the values gathered with consumption indicators are only a lower bound of the festival’s impact, this study found that assessing expenditure intentions during the festival leads to impact estimates that can be three times higher.
