Effect of a Weight Loss Program on Body Composition and Metabolic Syndrome Markers in Obese Weight Cyclers

Aim: to evaluate the effect of weight loss program on fat mass, visceral fat rating and metabolic syndrome markers in obese subjects with weight cycling. Methods: this was an 8-week open trial. The subjects were recruited consecutively from Balai Kota DKI Jaya. Subjects were classified into two groups according to the fluctuation of weight gain (weight cycling/WC and first encounter obesity/FEO group). Both groups were assigned to receive weight loss program consisted with following goals: a 1000 kcal energy intake reduction and 45 minutes mild-to-moderate intensity physical activity three times a week. Body composition (fat mass, visceral fat rating), and metabolic syndrome markers (waist circumference and triglyceride levels) were measured at baseline, week 4 and at the end of study. Results: seventy two subjects completed the study (34 subjects in WC group and 38 subjects in FEO group). Following weight loss program, a decrease in fat mass, visceral fat rating, and waist circumference was lower in WC group compared with FEO group but it was not statistically significant (p>0.05). Triglyceride levels were decreased in the FEO group while it was increased in WC group. However the difference was not significant (p=0.055). Conclusion: weight loss program may contribute to changes in body composition and metabolic syndrome markers in obese subjects, which the response appears to be worse in weight cyclers. The search process for domestic services have tended to be difficult because of the lack of centralized information media. The process of offering services performed by service providers is also difficult because of the absence of promotional media that can be accessed by service customers. Based on these requirements, crowdsource application was made for the services of domestic workers that can be a source of information as well as to help connecting service customers with service providers. Crowdsource application for the services of domestic workers is designed into a Service Provider Application, a Service Customer Application, and a Registration and Administrator Website. Registration Website is used to allow users to enroll as a provider. The website also serves for the administrator to accept or reject registration and to activate or deactivate an account. Service Provider Application and Service Customer Application function to communicate with each other in order to reach an agreement of supply and demand services. The results show that the Service Provider Application and Service Customer Application can provide the necessary information and help users communicate, negotiate, and reach an agreement. Pemanfaatan Dublin Core Metadata Term Dalam Pengembangan Perpustakaan Digital Berbasis Semantik

Pemanfaatan metadata yang disediakan secara online, sebagai contoh metadata dalam dublin core, memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar dalam pertukaran informasi digital saat ini. Galeri, Perpustakaan, Arsip, Museum saat ini mulai membuka data dalam menyamakan penemuan standar yang lebih baik bagi sumber daya elektronik dimasa depan.Temu kembali informasi bersejarah menjadi tujuan yang paling utama. Dublin Core adalah satu set metadata yang terdiri dari 15 set elemen telah dibangun untuk mendukung temu kembali informasi perpustakaan dengan lebih mudah. Dublin core term telah terstandarmelalui sebuah konsensus internasonal danpenggunaannya lebih sederhana dibanding MARC dalam pengelolaan data di perpustakaan. Oleh karenanya perpustaaan dan museum saat ini mulai menggunakan kosakata standar dari Dublin Core – hal ini dilakukan untuk mendukung wacana perpustakaan dengan akses yang terbuka. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan 15 term dalam Dublin Coredalam studi kasus perpustakaan serta mengujinya melalui uji validator RDF
