Parapygmephorus delyorum (Acari: Heterostigmata: Neopygmephoridae), a species new to mite fauna of Iran

در پی جمع‏آوری شماری از زنبورهای خانواده‌ی Halictidae در استان اصفهان، تعدادی کنه به صورت مسافر (Phoretic) روی این زنبورها مشاهده و به نام Parapygmephorus delyorum Mahunka, 1980 شناسایی شد. این کنه برای اولین‌بار از ایران گزارش می‏شود

پس از جمع‏آوری تعدادی سوسک با نام علمی Anthia sexguttata (Fab.) (Col.; Carabidae) در اطراف شهرستان تایباد واقع در استان خراسان رضوی، کلنی کنه‏های پارازیت خانواده‌ی Podapolipidae (Acari; Heterostigmata) که زیر بالپوش‏های یکی از سوسک‏های میزبان بود، به نام Regenpolipus madrasensis Husband & Ramaraju, 2006 شناسایی شد. این جنس و گونه برای اولین‌بار از ایران گزارش می‏شود

First record of the genus and species Spatulaphorus copridis (Acari: Pygmephoridae) associated with earth-boring dung beetles (Col.: Geotrupidae) from Iran

طی مطالعاتی که در تابستان 1388 روی کنه‌های هترواستیگما از راسته‌ی پیش‌استیگمایان مرتبط با سخت‌بالپوشان در جنگل‌های استان گلستان انجام گرفت، گونه‌ی Spatulaphorus copridis Khaustov, 2007 در ارتباط با سوسک‌های پهن‌خوار Geotrupes spp.(Col.: Geotrupidae) جمع‌آوری گردید. جنس و گونه‌ی این کنه برای اولین‌ بار از ایران گزارش می‌شود

First record of Acarophenax rackae (Acari: Heterostigmata: Acarophenacidae), an egg parasitoid of Tribolium confusum (Col.: Tenebrionidae) from Iran

به دنبال جمع‏آوری برخی از حشرات انباری موجود در انبارهای آرد شهرستان ارومیه، کنه‏ی پارازیتAcarophenax rackae Mahunka & Zaki, 1990 متعلق به خانواده‏ی Acarophenacidae از زیر بالپوش‏های شپشه‏ی آرد، Tribolium confusum Jacquelin du Val، جمع‏آوری و شناسایی گردید. این کنه برای اولین‌بار از ایران گزارش می‏شود

Heterostigmatic mites (Acari: Heterostigmatina) associated with insects in northwestern Iran

During a faunistic survey on heterostigmatic mites (Acari: Heterostigmatina: Caraboacaridae, Podapolipidae, Microdispidae, Neopygmephoridae), associated with insects in northwestern Iran, eight species were identified. The species Eutarsopolipus harpali Khaustov & Husband, 2004 (Podapolipidae) and Petalomium pseudomyrmecophilus Mahunka, 1970 (Neopygmephoridae) are here recorded for the first time from Iran and Asia. The six remaining species are as follows: Caraboacarus stammeri Krczal, 1959 (Caraboacaridae), Coccipolipus macfarlanei Husband, 1972 (Podapolipidae), Premicrodispus rackae Khaustov, 2006 (Microdispidae), Parapygmephorus magnisetosus Khaustov & Zalozhnaya, 2011, Acinogaster microchaetosus (Sevastianov, 1967) and Petalomium gottrauxi Mahunka, 1977 (Neopygmephoridae). We have also provided a new host record along with the world distribution of the mites

New report of a genus and species of the family Eviphididae (Acari: Mesostigmata) from Iran

During an investigation on mites associated with insects in Golestan province in 2009, a mite specimen was collected from under the elytra of Geotrupes spiniger (Marsham) (Col.: Scarabaeidae: Geotrupinae). It was identified as Scamaphis equestris (Berlese) which is the first report of this monotypic genus from Iran

Study of the subfamily Ophioninae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) in southern Iran

A survey was conducted to study the fauna of the subfamily Ophioninae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) in southern Iranian provinces of Fars and Hormozgan. The specimens were collected using Malaise traps, light traps and sweep nets from a variety different habitats between 2011 and 2013. A total of twelve species of three genera (Enicospilus Stephens; Ophion Fabricius and Eremotylus Forster) were identified, of which the five species Enicospilus flavocephalus (Kirby), E. merdarius (Holmgren), E. monostigmata (Vollenhoven), E. ramidulus (L.) and Eremotylus sibiricus Szépligeti are newly recorded from Iran. This work raise the number of ophionines of Iran to 26 species and four genera. A key to the Iranian genera and species of Ophioninae is provided

Study of the tribe Phaeogenini (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae, Ichneumoninae) in northern Iran, with two new genera and four new species records for the fauna of Iran

This survey was conducted as a taxonomic work on the species of the tribe Phaeogenini (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae, Ichneumoninae)in North central Iran during March to November 2010 and 2011. Nine species belonging to six genera were identified, of which two genrea (i.e. Oronotus Wesmael, 1845 and Stenodontus Berthoumieu, 1897) and four species, Dicaelotus erythrostoma Wesmael, 1845, Dicaelotus pudibundus (Wesmael, 1845), Oronotus binotatus (Gravenhorst, 1829), Stenodontus marginellus (Gravenhorst, 1829) are newly recorded from Iran. This work raises the number of Phaeogenini of Iran to 27 species and 13 genera. An updated list of the species in tribe Phaeogenini and detailed morphological characters of newly recorded species are also provided

Study of the genus Lissonota (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Banchinae) in southern Iran

A survey was conducted to determine the species of the genus Lissonota Gravenhorst, 1829 in two Iranian southern provinces of Fars and Hormozgan from February 2011 through August 2013. Six species were identified of which five species are recorded for the first time from Iran. The newly recorded species are as follows: Lissonota bivittata Gravenhorst, 1829, L. clypeator Gravenhorst, 1820, L. impressor Gravenhorst, 1829, L. pimplator (Zetterstedt, 1838) and L. proxima Fonscolombe, 1854. An updated checklist of Iranian Lissonota species is presented
