Variants of Schroeder Dissections
Some formulae are given for the enumeration of certain types of dissections
of the convex (n+2)-gon by non-crossing diagonals. The classical Schroeder and
Motzkin numbers are addressed using a cataloguing tool, the "reversive symbol".
The elementary details are referred to three Web addresses.Comment: 2 page
Foreword
In the summer of 2001, a group of lawyers, law professors, students, and judges formed the American Constitution Society. The organization’s avowed purpose is to counter the dominant vision of American law today, a narrow conservative vision that lacks appropriate regard for the ways in which the law affects people’s lives: and to restore the fundamental principles of respect for human dignity, protection of individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, and access to justice to their rightful- and traditionally central-place in American law. 1 By spring 2002, the American Constitution Society had formed more than fifty campus chapters, plus lawyer chapters in several cities, and had held hundreds of speaking programs

On Touchard's continued fraction and extensions: combinatorics-free, self-contained proofs
We give a direct and simple proof of Touchard's continued fraction, provide
an extension of it, and transform it into similar expansions related to Motzkin
and Schroeder numbers. Another proof is then given that uses only induction. We
use this machinery on two examples that appear in recent papers of
Josuat-Verges; with an additional parameter, these two can be treated
simultaneously
