Self Interference of Single Electrodynamic Particle in Double Slit
It is by the long established fact in experiment and theory that
electromagnetic waves, here as one component of an IED particle, passing a
double slit will undergo self inference each, producing at a detector plane
fringed intensities. The wave generating point charge of a zero rest mass, as
the other component of the particle, is maintained a constant energy and speed
by a repeated radiation reabsorption/reemission scheme, and in turn steered in
direction in its linear motion by the reflected radiation field, and will
thereby travel to the detector along (one of) the optical path(s) of the waves
leading to a bright interference fringe. We elucidate the process formally
based on first principles solutions for the IED particle and known principles

Vienna Circle and Logical Analysis of Relativity Theory
In this paper we present some of our school's results in the area of building
up relativity theory (RT) as a hierarchy of theories in the sense of logic. We
use plain first-order logic (FOL) as in the foundation of mathematics (FOM) and
we build on experience gained in FOM.
The main aims of our school are the following: We want to base the theory on
simple, unambiguous axioms with clear meanings. It should be absolutely
understandable for any reader what the axioms say and the reader can decide
about each axiom whether he likes it. The theory should be built up from these
axioms in a straightforward, logical manner. We want to provide an analysis of
the logical structure of the theory. We investigate which axioms are needed for
which predictions of RT. We want to make RT more transparent logically, easier
to understand, easier to change, modular, and easier to teach. We want to
obtain deeper understanding of RT.
Our work can be considered as a case-study showing that the Vienna Circle's
(VC) approach to doing science is workable and fruitful when performed with
using the insights and tools of mathematical logic acquired since its formation
years at the very time of the VC activity. We think that logical positivism was
based on the insight and anticipation of what mathematical logic is capable
when elaborated to some depth. Logical positivism, in great part represented by
VC, influenced and took part in the birth of modern mathematical logic. The

Measurement and modeling of rotational core losses of soft magnetic materials used in electrical machines: A review
In many situations, for example, in the cores of a rotating electrical machine and the T-joints of multiphase transformers, the magnetic flux varies with time in terms of both magnitude and direction, i.e., the local flux density vector rotates with varying magnitude and varying speed. Therefore, it is important that the magnetic properties of the core materials under various rotational magnetizations be properly investigated, modeled, and applied in the design and analysis of electromagnetic devices with rotational flux. Drawing from the huge amount of papers published by various researchers in the past century, this paper presents an extensive survey on the measurement and modeling of rotational core losses of soft magnetic materials used in electrical machines, particularly from the view of practical engineering application. The paper aims to provide a broad picture of the historical development of measuring techniques, measuring apparatus, and practical models of rotational core losses. © 2008 IEEE
High-frequency magnetic-link medium-voltage converter for superconducting generator-based high-power density wind generation systems
© 2015 IEEE. Recent advances in solid-state semiconductors and magnetic materials have provided the impetus for high-frequency magnetic-link-based modular medium-voltage power conversion systems, which would be a possible solution to reduce further the weight and volume of superconducting generator-based wind generation systems. To verify this new concept, in this paper, a laboratory prototype of 5 kVA high-frequency magnetic-link modular power conversion system is developed for a scaled down 1.2 kV grid application. The design and implementation of the prototyping, test platform, and the experimental results are analyzed and discussed. It is expected that the proposed new technology will have great potential for superconducting generator-based wind farm applications
Recent changes of water discharge and sediment load in the Yellow River basin, China
The Yellow River basin contributes approximately 6% of the sediment load from all river systems globally, and the annual runoff directly supports 12% of the Chinese population. As a result, describing and understanding recent variations of water discharge and sediment load under global change scenarios are of considerable importance. The present study considers the annual hydrologic series of the water discharge and sediment load of the Yellow River basin obtained from 15 gauging stations (10 mainstream, 5 tributaries). The Mann-Kendall test method was adopted to detect both gradual and abrupt change of hydrological series since the 1950s. With the exception of the area draining to the Upper Tangnaihai station, results indicate that both water discharge and sediment load have decreased significantly (p<0.05). The declining trend is greater with distance downstream, and drainage area has a significant positive effect on the rate of decline. It is suggested that the abrupt change of the water discharge from the late 1980s to the early 1990s arose from human extraction, and that the abrupt change in sediment load was linked to disturbance from reservoir construction.Geography, PhysicalGeosciences, MultidisciplinarySCI(E)43ARTICLE4541-5613

A novel missense mutation of bovine lipase maturation factor 1 (LMF1) gene and its association with growth traits
Lipase maturation factor 1 (LMF1) gene is a novel candidate gene in severe hypertriglyceridemia. To detect the polymorphism in LMF1 gene in 804 Chinese cattle, we firstly described the polymerase chain reaction-single-strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP), DNA sequence and PCR-RFLP methods for detecting mutations of LMF1 gene, which affected growth and development in animal. The results showed a novel mutation in exon 4: NC_007326.3: g.27154 T>C, which resulted in a missense mutation within LMF1 protein (p.197 Trp>Arg). Genotype TT was dominant in four breeds, and genotypic frequencies of LMF1 exon 4 AvaI locus were calculated in four populations which agreed with Hardy- Weinberg equilibrium (p > 0.05). The association analysis showed that individuals with genotype TC had greater body weight than those with genotype TT at 12, 18 and 24 months of age in Nanyang cattle (P < 0.05).Key words: Bovine, polymorphism, growth traits, LMF1 gene
