A TĂłth JĂłzsef tĂ©mavezetĂ©sĂ©vel PhD-fokozatot szerzett tanĂtványok – a földrajz talentumai, avagy a talentumok földrajza = Students who Obtained PhD Degree under JĂłzsef TĂłth's Supervision – The Talents of Geography, or the Geography of Talents
JĂłzsef TĂłth was an outstanding figure in Hungarian geography. This article aims to present his scientific talent management at the University of PĂ©cs through the data of his PhD students (n=63). During
the analysis we used university publications and electronic databases, as well as Spearman’s correlation
calculation, independent T-test, Mann–Whitney U-test, Kruskal–Wallis test and Chi-squared test to
explore the relationships. The largest proportion of students were born and worked in the Southern
Great Plain, North Hungary and Transdanubia, however the winner of the regional talent migration
is Transdanubia. The professional openness of the professor is reflected in the topic selection of the
dissertations completed under his supervision. His students, carrying on his intellectual heritage, are
still active in scientific publishing. The charismatic personality, world view and professional knowledge of the head of doctoral school are manifested in the diversity and academic performance of his
former students.

A városi parkok szerepe a rekreációban és az egészségfejlesztésben, különös tekintettel a fizikai aktivitásra
A rendszeres fizikai aktivitás pozitĂv egĂ©szsĂ©gĂĽgyi hatásairĂłl megdönthetetlen bizonyĂtĂ©kok állnak rendelkezĂ©sĂĽnkre. A városi zöldterĂĽletek helyszĂnt biztosĂtanak a rendszeres testmozgáshoz, Ăgy – ökolĂłgiai jelentĹ‘sĂ©gĂĽkön tĂşl – rĂ©szt vesznek a városlakĂłk egĂ©szsĂ©gĂ©nek, jĂłllĂ©tĂ©nek megĹ‘rzĂ©sĂ©ben is. Jelen munkánk egy már megkezdett szegedi empirikus vizsgálatunkhoz, a szegedi ErzsĂ©bet-liget sportrekreáciĂłs parkhasználatának feltárásához kapcsolĂłdĂł szakirodalmi áttekintĂ©s. Bemutatja a városi parkok jelentĹ‘sĂ©gĂ©t, funkciĂłit, valamint azok szerepĂ©t az ember jĂł szomatikus, pszichĂ©s Ă©s szociális közĂ©rzetĂ©nek lĂ©trehozásában, kĂĽlönös tekintettel a fizikai aktivitásra Ă©s nĂ©hány olyan változĂłra, ami mindazt befolyásolja (pl. elĂ©rhetĹ‘sĂ©g, szociodemográfiai kĂĽlönbsĂ©gek). Annak ellenĂ©re, hogy a fizikai aktivitást, valamint a zöldterĂĽletek elĂ©rhetĹ‘sĂ©ge Ă©s használata közötti összefĂĽggĂ©st vizsgálĂł kutatási eredmĂ©nyek meglehetĹ‘sen szerteágazĂłak, általánosságban elmondhatĂł, hogy a szabadtĂ©ri rekreáciĂłs infrastruktĂşra könnyebb elĂ©rhetĹ‘sĂ©ge elĹ‘segĂtheti a fizikai aktivitás növekedĂ©sĂ©t, csökkentheti az inaktĂv Ă©letmĂłd egĂ©szsĂ©gĂĽgyi kockázatait, s vele egyĂĽtt annak társadalmi terheit is. Figyelembe vĂ©ve, hogy egy-egy lakĂłhely sport, rekreáciĂłs Ă©s egĂ©szsĂ©gcĂ©lĂş aktivitásainak keresleti Ă©s kĂnálati oldalát az adott telepĂĽlĂ©sre jellemzĹ‘ termĂ©szeti, társadalmi, gazdasági Ă©s infrastrukturális tĂ©nyezĹ‘k befolyásolják, szĂĽksĂ©g mutatkozik azokra a további feltárĂł vizsgálatokra, amelyek közelebb visznek bennĂĽnket a problematika megĂ©rtĂ©sĂ©hez. = We have irrefutable evidence of the positive health effects of regular physical activity. Urban green areas provide a place for regular physical exercise, thus – in addition
to their ecological importance – they also contribute to preserving the health and
well-being of city dwellers.
Our present work is a literature review related to our already started empirical
research in Szeged, the exploration of the sports recreation use of the Erzsébet-liget
park in Szeged. It presents the importance and functions of urban parks, as well as
their role in creating an excellent somatic, psychological, and social well-being of
people, with particular attention to physical activity and some variables that influence all of this (e.g., accessibility, socio-demographic differences).
Even though the research results examining the relationship between physical activity and the availability and use of green spaces are quite diverse, in general, it can
be said that easier access to outdoor recreation infrastructure can promote the increase of physical activity, so it can reduce the health risks of an inactive lifestyle,
with it its social burdens. Considering the fact, the supply and demand side of sports,
recreation, and health activities in the green areas of a residence is influenced by the
natural, social, economic, and infrastructural factors which characterize the given
settlement, there is a need for further exploratory studies that bring us closer to understanding the problem
