Factors of functioning and development of tourist clusters at regional level

    Get PDF
Under the condition of tough competition, lack of proper support for tourist industry at the state level, and necessity for development and bringing this sector to a new level, which consists in capability for offering a consumer a high-quality and competitive product, the necessity for search for effective solutions is obvious. One of the perspective and effective means for solving the problems of tourist sphere at present is formation and development of tourist clusters. The article studies existing approaches to determination of tourist cluster, analyzes the current state of internal tourism, and views factors which hinder the creation of competitive product and factors which stipulate the increase of effectiveness of functioning of tourist clusters at regional level.peer-reviewe

The Doha Talks and the Bargaining Surplus in Agriculture

The Doha Round has been slow to achieve a reduction in the level of agricultural protection. This remains the case notwithstanding the substantial economic benefits that would arise from a more liberal agricultural trading regime. We provide one explanation for this slowness using a simple bargaining model. We demonstrate that the bargaining countries received a substantial fiscal gain from reducing government expenditures in the run-up to the Uruguay Round. This fiscal pressure was sufficient to block rent seekers who wanted farm payments to continue. Since the Uruguay Round these fiscal constraints have been reduced and the same pressure to reach a bargain and control rent-seeking behaviour is not present in the Doha Round.Doha Round, rent seeking, bargaining, International Relations/Trade,

Factors revealed while posing mathematical modelling problems by mathematics student teachers

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study is to reveal factors considered by mathematics student teachers while posing modelling problems. The participants were twenty-seven mathematics student teachers and posed their modelling problems within their groups. The data were obtained from the modelling problems posed by the participants, their solutions on these problems and the groups’ reflective diaries regarding their problem posing and solution processes. The data were analyzed by using content analysis and the codes were constructed according to the problems’ contents. The participants' diaries were examined in terms of generated codes and the expressions supporting/relating the codes were determined. While designing the problems, the participants considered the factors such as being interesting, understandable, appropriateness to real life and modelling process, model construction, and usability of different mathematical concepts. Their solutions were generally handled in terms of usage of the mathematical statements, appropriateness to the modelling process and being meaningful for real life. Modelling training should be provided to enable the student teachers to develop modelling problems and their designs should be examined and the feedbacks should be given. © 2018 Eurasian Society of Educational Research.
