Feed Speed Control to Assure Accuracy of Complex Profile Surfaces Processing

    Get PDF
AbstractThis document describes how cutting force components influence the accuracy of processing complex profile surfaces of parts on CNC machines. It demonstrates how changing cutting zone geometrical parameters influences cutting force components. The article includes dependences for determining cutting force components. We propose a mathematical model to identify dynamic size-setting errors for 2D machining of complex profile surfaces. We suggest a processing method to reduce error occurrence rate by controlling feed speed. This document includes a method of setting feed motion speed depending on the geometrical parameters of the machined surface. We recommend changing feed motion speed depending on machined surface pitch against the feed motion vector. We demonstrate that feed motion speed control allows to increase machining efficiency while assuring the set accuracy of the shape and dimensions of the components’ complex profile surfaces

Protection of molybdenum containers used at uranium dioxide sintering from grain boundary diffusion of oxygen and nitrogen

The results of investigating the reasons of damaging molybdenum containers used at energy tablets sintering from uranium dioxide have been given. The influence of niobium protective coating on changing molybdenum microstructure and properties is investigated. It is shown that protective coating prevents the formation of carbide, nitride and oxide phases on the boundary of molybdenum grains increasing thereby the durabilit

Value Orientation “Patriotism”: Essence, Content, and Assessment

    Get PDF
Background. In the modern historical period, taking into account the current military-political situation, the actualization of the idea of patriotism as a comprehensive element of spiritual integrity of people is a condition for the preservation of Russia as an independent and unified state. The analysis of Russian and foreign scientific literature as well as of regulatory legal documents has shown the absence of a unified approach to the essence and content of the value orientation “patriotism”. There was also no tool for assessing the level of value orientation “patriotism” found. Objective. The article focuses on the development of a theoretical model of the value orientation “patriotism” and a methodology for assessing the level of its formation. Sample. 1600 citizens of the Russian Federation took part in the empirical study. Methods. The study was conducted with an expert survey, focus groups and a sociological survey. Results. The ANOVA by Kraskel — Wallis showed the validity of the developed methodology for assessing the value orientation of “patriotism” and the absence of statistically significant differences when using it on different sample populations. Conclusion. The article reveals the essence and content of the value orientation “patriotism”, develops and substantiates its theoretical model, which includes 8 components, as well as means of formation and levels of manifestation. In addition, the study developed and successfully tested a methodology for assessing the level of development of the value orientation “patriotism”

Use of equalization and echo canceling on circuit board wires

Advances in CMOS technology have resulted in increased clock fre-quencies, even exceeding 3GHz. At the same time, frequencies on most board wires are 125-800MHz. It is especially problematic in modern computer mem-ory buses and high speed telecommunication devices, such as switches and routers operating at 10Gb/s on its ports. It is believed that circuit board buses can be used up to about 20GHz, but there is a problem with Intersymbol Inter-ference (ISI) causing distortion of transmitted symbols by multiple reflections. Actually, the circuit board bus behaves like a passive low pass filter with unknown (perhaps changing) transfer characteristic. The problem of ISI was solved some time ago in the telecommunication area. With use of adaptive equalizers it is possible to increase throughput of a long distance communication channel dramatically. But the microprocessor bus has certain differences from telecommunica-tion devices such as modems. First of all, the clock frequency on a bus is much higher than in modems. Secondly, a bus has a much more complex structure than a telecommunication channel. At the same time, we can’t use a lot of re-sources for bus maintaining. The aim of the thesis work is to investigate the possibility of using adap-tive equalization on a bus, and the construction of a reasonable mathematical model of such an equalizer. Also limits of equalizationare examined and de-pendencies are derived

There the purposes are to develop the theory and the procedure for the design of output of working of parts of diverse accuracy, to create the refernece basis to design the processes. The design theory of output of working of parts with the Numerically-Controlled Machines (NCM), which was based on the open mechanisms of change of power load of production system, has been developed. The new general machine-building standards for the cutting modes, the Computer-Aided Design System of Processes for the NCM have been developed and are introducedAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
