The author of the article examines piano works dedicated to children written by Moldovan composers from the point of view of their use in the piano educational practice as children’s cycles (albums and suites consisting of piano miniatures). For many Moldovan composers (L. Gurov, S. Lobel, V. Rotaru, Z. Tkach, A. Mulyar, B. Dubossarsky, O. Negrutsa, G. Ciobanu, etc.) the work on piano miniatures was a kind of «creative laboratory» that preceded the appearance of larger works — suites, sonatas, concertos, symphonies, etc. The priorities in the children’s piano works of Moldovan authors are contrasting in style: slow lyrical pieces (Lullaby, Doina, Prelude, Song, Poem, etc.) and mobile miniatures (Jock, Batuta, Ostinato, Comic, Scherzo, etc.) with dance or scherzo-humor character. These plays can greatly enrich the repertoire of children’s music schools and lyceums, as they are distinguished by Moldovan color, national and genre properties, peculiarity of the figurative-emotional system and the certainty of technical tasks

DOMAIN MECHANISM OF DIELECTRIC LOSSES IN A ROCHELLE SALT CRYSTAL

The dependences of the dielectric loss tgδ on the intensity of the alternating electric field E in a Rochelle salt single crystal were investigated. Changes in the tgδ(E) at different temperatures are associated with the coercive field decrease as it approaches the phase transition temperature

WORKS FOR PIANO IN THE CONTEXT OF OLEG NEGRUTA’S COMPOSITION ACTIVITY

    No full text
In this article, the author describes the piano heritage of composer O. Negruţa as a part of the composer’s creativity, placing into focus the perspective of revaluation of his piano works in the concert and pedagogical activity in the Republic of Moldova. The general presentation of the pianistic works includes not only the published works (the collection „Spring mood”, „Album for children”, the pieces „Scherzo”, „Improvisation”, etc.), but also the manuscripts (Concerto for piano and orchestra, two notebooks „Songs without words”, polyphonic works, etc.), including the pianistic duets and personal transcriptions of some well-known works („Nocturne” — fragment from the Concerto for trumpet and orchestra, „Hora staccato” by G. Dinicu, etc.)

Development of experimental pneumococcal vaccine for mucosal immunization

    No full text
Streptococcus pneumonia is an important human pathogen that causes various severe diseases such as pneumonia, otitis and meningitis. Vaccination against S. pneumoniae is implemented in many developed countries. The presently used vaccines are safe, well tolerated but relatively expensive and require modification due to the immunological changes of the epidemic strains. This paper describes the development of a new pneumococcal vaccine candidate for immunization on mucosal surfaces. For this purpose the antigens of chimeric protein PSPF, previously suggested for an injectable S. pneumoniae vaccine, were expressed on the surface of the live probiotic strain Enterococcus faecium L3. Experiments on laboratory mice vaccinated with live bacteria demonstrated the appearance of the specific IgA and IgG which provide protection against the lethal S. pneumoniae infection. © 2019 Gupalova et al. THE PIANO COLLECTION SPRING MOOD BY O.P.NEGRUTSI: STYLISTIC AND GENRE FEATURES OF THE WORKS

    No full text
In the focus of this article is the music collection by O. Negrutsi „Spring Mood”, published in 2009 and edited by I .Stolyar. The piano Miniatures, that are different in variety of artistic ideas and content, are included in this anthology. All the works included in this collection have a number of teaching and performing features, a typical figurative and emotional system, evident technical issues based on national folklore. All this makes them indispensable for the pedagogical and concert repertoire of the Special Piano course in the secondary and higher educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova

Burova L, Pigarevsky P, Seliverstova V, Gupalova T, Schalén C, Totolian A. Experimental poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis elicited by IgG Fc-binding M family proteins and blocked by IgG Fc fragment. APMIS 2012; 120: 221-30. The pathogenesis of acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis (APSGN), a major nonsuppurative complication of group A streptococcal (GAS) throat or skin disease, remains unclear. During the years, various theories based on certain streptococcal extracellular factors, as well as immunological mimicry between streptococci and renal tissue, have been forwarded. We earlier reported that many clinical GAS isolates with documented nephritogenic capacity show non-immune binding of monomeric or aggregated IgG. Moreover, in a rabbit model of APSGN we obtained evidence for an important role of streptococcal IgG Fc binding proteins (IgGFcBPs) belonging to the M family surface proteins; thus, hyperimmunization by whole IgGFcBP-positive streptococci was shown to induce renal glomerular changes with deposition of IgG and complement C3, resembling the picture recorded in human APSGN. These typical renal changes were always preceded by the appearance of circulating anti-IgG antibodies. In the present work, using the same rabbit model, each of two purified IgGFcBPs, isolated from type M22 GAS, were found to elicit glomerular degenerative damage comparable to that caused by whole bacteria, as well as formation of anti-IgG. In addition, the induction by whole streptococci (type M1) of experimental APSGN was inhibited by the i.v. administration of purified human or rabbit IgG Fc, but not Fab, fragment, supporting the importance of Fc-mediated mechanisms in causation of glomerulonephritis. We propose that anti-IgG antibody, induced by streptococcal IgGFcBP, facilitated renal accumulation of IgG-containing complexes, which in turn triggered complement deposition and proinflammatory cascades. Further studies on the possible beneficial effect of IgG Fc fragment in APSGN should be of interest
