Invariance quantum group of the fermionic oscillator
The fermionic oscillator defined by the algebraic relations cc^*+c^*c=1 and
c^{2}=0 admits the homogeneous group O(2) as its invariance group. We show
that, the structure of the inhomogeneous invariance group of this oscillator is

Evaluation of management strategies for the operation of high-speed railways in China
High-Speed Train (HST) operations have recently been introduced in rail passenger transportation markets worldwide. Although the technologies for such operations have levelled at speeds of around 300 km/h, the operating parameters to be adopted in each application will differ from country to country. The operating environment will be one of the crucial success factors for the implementation of HST operations in China. This paper compares three different management/ownership models which might be used in China. The paper analyzes the characteristics of each model and proposes an optimal plan of an operational system to develop HST operations in China by using a hierarchy goals achievement matrix approach
Effects of drying temperature on the chemical and physical properties of Musa acuminata Colla (AAA Group) leaves.
Typically, banana trees are cut once the fruit has been harvested; however, other parts of the banana tree, particularly the leaves, might have other potential uses. Nevertheless, few studies have focused on banana leaves. This work aims to provide information about the effects of different drying temperatures on the antioxidant activity, total phenolic content and physical properties of banana leaves (Musa acuminata Colla (AAA Group)). Leaves were dried at different temperatures (40 °C, 50 °C or 60 °C) using a cabinet dryer with an airflow of 2 m/s. Dried and fresh leaves were analysed for their moisture content, water activity, pH, colour analysis and rehydration index. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and Folin–Ciocalteau methods were used to determine the scavenging activity (IC50) and total phenolic content of the fresh and dried leaves extracts, respectively. The results reveal that the drying temperature significantly affects selected properties of banana leaves and 50 °C is proposed as the appropriate drying temperature
Berry phases for composite fermions: effective magnetic field and fractional statistics
The quantum Hall superfluid is presently the only viable candidate for a
realization of quasiparticles with fractional Berry phase statistics. For a
simple vortex excitation, relevant for a subset of fractional Hall states
considered by Laughlin, non-trivial Berry phase statistics were demonstrated
many years ago by Arovas, Schrieffer, and Wilczek. The quasiparticles are in
general more complicated, described accurately in terms of excited composite
fermions. We use the method developed by Kjonsberg, Myrheim and Leinaas to
compute the Berry phase for a single composite-fermion quasiparticle, and find
that it agrees with the effective magnetic field concept for composite
fermions. We then evaluate the "fractional statistics", related to the change
in the Berry phase for a closed loop caused by the insertion of another
composite-fermion quasiparticle in the interior. Our results support the
general validity of fractional statistics in the quantum Hall superfluid, while
also giving a quantitative account of corrections to it when the quasiparticle
wave functions overlap. Many caveats, both practical and conceptual, are
mentioned that will be relevant to an experimental measurement of the
fractional statistics. A short report on some parts of this article has

Spatiotemporal Stochastic Resonance in Fully Frustrated Josephson Ladders
We consider a Josephson-junction ladder in an external magnetic field with
half flux quantum per plaquette. When driven by external currents, periodic in
time and staggered in space, such a fully frustrated system is found to display
spatiotemporal stochastic resonance under the influence of thermal noise. Such
resonance behavior is investigated both numerically and analytically, which
