For my thesis, I have developed a sales promotional package utilizing print and interactive media. Because technology is rapidly changing, I utilized multimedia and print media, by merging them into one project. For this interactive/print project, I created a marketing sales package that markets handcrafted jewelry to wholesale buyers. The two media interact as a buying source that is easily and inexpensively sent to the buyers. This service is very unique, and also provides buyers with alternatives to buying and viewing at the annual shows. The user can purchase wholesale handcrafted jewelry from their office or home without having to travel. In addition, BEYOND TRADITIONS, the name of the company, provides the crafters with a broader base market to sell their jewelry collections. The package contains a publication made up of portraits of different artists, along with a brief summary of the artist\u27s background and jewelry samples. It will be used as a reference tool for the buyer. A computer flop py disk is enclosed, and contains an animation as an introduction, along with sections to display each artist\u27s jewelry collection, prices for the craft goods and an ordering form that can be printed out and faxed back to BEYOND TRADITIONS. By reviewing the information in the interactive catalog, in combination with the brochure, the wholesale buyer will have a total reference of the finished artist\u27s work. This service is provided by BEYOND TRADITIONS, who will develop the brochure and interactive catalog on a quarterly basis. Both artists and wholesalers can subscribe to this service, and benefit from its circulation. The user\u27s interaction between the two pieces create a powerful marketing tool to be used and developed in this marketing arena

Exploration of interactive classroom test method in universities based on the module thought

University is an important transit station for students to enter social life, undertaking the important mission of personnel training. Nowadays, a series of challenges exists in university education, such as the popularity of electronic information making students lack the ability to help each other. How to develop the mutual cooperation ability and active learning ability is an important topic in university education. This paper proposes an interactive classroom test method considering the learning characteristics of university students. The module thought is introduced to optimize the teaching system and help teachers to master classroom. In the interactive classroom test method, students can design the test paper based on the learning of course content and understanding. Then the different module group may use and review these test papers. The application and investigation of the proposed method are given by concrete practice. The results show that this method can enhance the spirit of teamwork and competition among students

Collaborative configuration of renewable energy and energy storage under fixed investment in the decarbonization process

    Get PDF
In the process of decarbonization, the configuration of renewable energy and energy storage plays a crucial role. In current research, there is often a singular focus on the isolated optimization of either renewable energy configurations or energy storage configurations, resulting in limitations within the optimized outcomes. Therefore, we propose a collaborative configuration approach for renewable energy and energy storage under fixed investment, considering the impact of uncertainty on optimization results. By employing the W/S (wind-to-solar ratio) and E/P (energy-to-power ratio) and constructing a model with an hourly granularity, we can obtain the configurations of renewable energy and energy storage at crucial time points. Using the UK as a case study, we calculate the configurations for renewable energy and energy storage from 2020 to 2050, offering effective recommendations for the decarbonization efforts in the UK

The curriculum reform of CAD graphic design for combining theory and practice

    Get PDF
As a tool course, CAD graphic design in engineering is assisting other professional courses to achieve professional training goals. According to the characteristics and existing problems of CAD graphic design, this paper puts forward some constructive measures to connect the course with practice application and improve the students’ learning enthusiasm. The proposed measures include: teaching method combining theory with practice, teaching mode containing "teaching" and "learning" content, the matched evaluation mechanism guiding correctly students to learn

Exploration on the Construction of Digital Content Security Course under the Background of "New Engineering Disciplines"

    Get PDF
According to the development and construction of the "new engineering disciplines", the training requirements for talents and the construction of digital content security course are discussed in this paper. Based on the current development situation, this paper clarifies the tightness of digital content security and the development of "new engineering disciplines". The digital content security course has both a complete frontier theoretical system and close correlation with various new engineering disciplines. Combining these two characteristics, this paper proposes three aspects of construction: comprehensive social resources, the formation of a new curriculum teaching system, and the creation of a digital content security gold course; further introduction of school-enterprise cooperation, promotion of the combination of production and education, practical and targeted activities; training of students’ ability to master and apply digital content security and promotion of the construction of applied undergraduate programs

Habitat characteristics of wintering Wood Warbler Phylloscopus sibilatrix in the Centre Region of Cameroon: conservation implications

Populations of many Afro-Palearctic birds have declined, with those wintering in sub-Saharan Africa, such as Wood Warbler Phylloscopus sibilatrix, particularly affected. In this study we investigated the relationship between habitat characteristics and Wood Warbler presence/absence in the Centre Region of Cameroon. A total of six transects were established in three habitat types (forest, forest–savanna transitional zone and savanna). Call playback surveys were conducted monthly from November 2015 to April 2016 to determine Wood Warbler presence/absence. Detailed habitat measurements were also recorded in each transect. A total of 86 responses were recorded: 33 (mean 6.6 ± 2.3) in forest habitat, 47 (mean 9.4 ± 3.36) in the forest–savanna transitional zone, and 6 (mean 2 ± 1.1) in savanna habitat. Wood Warbler presence increased significantly with the number of trees between 3 and 7 m in height, and decreased significantly with the number of shrubs between 0.5 and 3 m in height. Anthropogenic disturbance such as the agricultural cycle and burning were not found to have an effect on Wood Warblers presence/absence. We conclude that Wood Warblers overwinter in all three habitat types with probability of detection greatest in the forest–savanna transitional habitat with a relatively low canopy and an open understorey. Forest clearance in sub-Saharan Africa potentially threatens wintering habitat for Wood Warblers
