Stability of Phase-modulated Quantum Key Distribution System
Phase drift and random fluctuation of interference visibility in double
unbalanced M-Z QKD system are observed and distinguished. It has been found
that the interference visibilities are influenced deeply by the disturbance of
transmission fiber. Theory analysis shows that the fluctuation is derived from
the envioronmental disturbance on polarization characteristic of fiber,
especially including transmission fiber. Finally, stability conditions of
one-way anti-disturbed M-Z QKD system are given out, which provides a
theoretical guide in pragmatic anti-disturbed QKD.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figue
10-Ethyl-3-(5-methyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-10H-phenothiazine
In the title compound, C17H15N3OS, the phenothiazine ring system is slightly bent, with a dihedral angle of 13.68 (7)° between the benzene rings. The dihedral angle between the oxadiazole ring and the adjacent benzene ring is 7.72 (7)°. In the crystal, a π–π interaction with a centroid–centroid distance of 3.752 (2) Å is observed between the benzene rings of neighbouring molecules
Intrinsic-Stabilization Uni-Directional Quantum Key Distribution Between Beijing and Tianjin
Quantum key distribution provides unconditional security for communication.
Unfortunately, current experiment schemes are not suitable for long-distance
fiber transmission because of instability or backscattering. We present a
uni-directional intrinsic-stabilization scheme that is based on
Michelson-Faraday interferometers, in which reflectors are replaced with 90
degree Faraday mirrors. With the scheme, key exchange from Beijing to Tianjin
over 125 kilometers with an average error rate is below 6% has been achieved
and its limited distance exceeds 150 kilometers. Experimental result shows the
system is insensitive to environment and can run over day and night without any
break even in the noise workshop.Comment: 7 pages,4 figure
2-(5-Bromothiophen-2-yl)-5-[5-(10-ethylphenothiazin-3-yl)thiophen-2-yl]-1,3,4-oxadiazole
The molecule of the title compound, C24H16BrN3OS3, contains three approximately planar fragments, viz. an oxadiazole ring plus two adjacent thiophene groups, and two phenothiazine benzene rings, with largest deviations from the least-squares planes of 0.051 (3), 0.019 (4) and 0.014 (3) Å, respectively. The phenothiazine unit adopts a butterfly conformation, with a dihedral angle of 38.06 (15)° between the terminal benzene rings. The dihedral angle between the 2,5-bis(thiophen-2-yl)oxadiazole unit and the attached benzene ring is 15.35 (11)°. In the crystal, molecules form stacks along the b-axis direction; neighboring molecules within the stack are related by inversion centers, with shortest intercentroid separations of 3.741 (2) and 3.767 (2) Å
An Updated Search of Steady TeV Ray Point Sources in Northern Hemisphere Using the Tibet Air Shower Array
Using the data taken from Tibet II High Density (HD) Array (1997
February-1999 September) and Tibet-III array (1999 November-2005 November), our
previous northern sky survey for TeV ray point sources has now been
updated by a factor of 2.8 improved statistics. From to
in declination (Dec) range, no new TeV ray point
sources with sufficiently high significance were identified while the
well-known Crab Nebula and Mrk421 remain to be the brightest TeV ray
sources within the field of view of the Tibet air shower array. Based on the
currently available data and at the 90% confidence level (C.L.), the flux upper
limits for different power law index assumption are re-derived, which are
approximately improved by 1.7 times as compared with our previous reported
limits.Comment: This paper has been accepted by hepn
Identification of a Known Mutation in Notch 3 in Familiar CADASIL in China
Cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL) is an inherited disease leading to recurrent ischemic stroke and vascular dementia. Numerous mutations in the 23 exons of the NOTCH3 gene have been reported to cause CADASIL in Caucasian populations, but the full spectrum of genetic changes leading to this disease is yet to be known and, especially, very few reports are available on CADASIL in Asian populations. We genotyped members of a 5-generational Han Chinese family with CADASIL patients and identified an R133C mutation in the NOTCH3 gene. Clinical analysis demonstrated that the penetrance of the mutation was not complete. Five of the mutation carriers, not exposed to the known vascular risk factors, did not show any clinical feature of CADASIL, suggesting the importance of environmental factors to the development of this disease.Members of a 5-generational Han Chinese family with CADASIL patients had an R133C mutation in the NOTCH3 gene but only individuals exposed to known vascular risk factors developed CADASIL
Lot-to-lot consistency study of an Escherichia coli -produced bivalent human papillomavirus vaccine in adult women: a randomized trial.
An Escherichia. coli -produced HPV-16/18 bivalent vaccine has been proved to be well-tolerated and highly efficacious against diseases associated with vaccine HPV types. As a part of the multi-center, randomized, double-blind phase III clinical trial, this lot-to-lot consistency study aimed to assess the safety and immunogenicity consistency of this novel HPV vaccine, which is also one of the objectives of the phase III trial. A total of 3689 healthy women aged 18-45 years were enrolled and randomly assigned 1:1:1 to three lots of the HPV vaccine groups. The primary outcomes were the IgG antibody level at 1 month after the last dose (month 7). In the immunogenicity per-protocol set (PPS), almost all of the participants seroconverted at month 7 and remained seropositive at month 42. For each paired comparison of the three lot groups, the two-sides of 90% CIs of GMC ratios for both IgG and neutralizing antibodies for HPV-16 and HPV-18 at month 7 were within the equivalence interval [0.5, 2]. Lot consistency was also demonstrated at month 42. The majority of recorded solicited reactions were mild or moderate. The incidences of solicited reactions of Lot 2 and Lot 3 were slightly higher than Lot 1. However, the incidences of solicited reactions of ≥ grade 3 and solicited reactions by symptoms were all similar among the three lot groups. None of the SAEs was considered related to vaccination by the investigator. In conclusion, this study demonstrates lot-to-lot consistency of the 3 consecutive lots of the E. coli -produced HPV-16/18 bivalent vaccine
