    Parity violating effects for low energy elastic neutron deuteron scattering are calculated for DDH and EFT-type of weak potentials in a Distorted Wave Born Approximation, using realistic hadronic strong interaction wave functions, obtained by solving three-body Faddeev equations in configuration space. The results of relation between physical observables and low energy constants can be used to fix low energy constants from experiments.     Oscillations of the superconducting critical current in Nb-Cu-Ni-Cu-Nb junctions

    We report on experimental studies of superconductor-ferromagnet layered structures. Strong oscillations of the critical supercurrent were observed with the thickness variation of the ferromagnet. Using known microscopic parameters of Ni, we found reasonable agreement between the period of oscillations and the decay of the measured critical current, and theoretical calculations.Comment: 5 page

    The object of research is the transportation process. The subject of research is dependence of influence of the distance of transportation of goods on the cost of transportation of goods. Since no studied literary sources have revealed reliable dependences of influence of the distance of transportation on the cost of transportation of goods in specific conditions for a single enterprise, the research task considered in the article seems to be relevant.The objective of this article is so to study the impact of distance of transportation of construction goods by dump trucks of Volgograd motor transport enterprise on operating costs. The solution to the problem is considered at the example of transportation of bulk cargo by MAN and Mercedes-Benz dump trucks with equal mileage. Several empirical research methods were used: observation (by means of purposeful perception of an object determined by the task of activity), comparison (by establishing similarity and difference between objects and phenomena of reality), measurement (by means of actions performed using measuring instruments to find the numerical value of the measured quantity in the adopted measurement units). To calculate the cost of transportation, the methodology for determining costs for transporting goods by road transport is used. To obtain experimental data, an analysis of the work of fleet of a motor transport enterprise is carried out using waybills with confirmed data. The process of obtaining actual data is carried out by means of calculations according to the given formulas. The research tool is calculation of the cost of transportation of goods according to the data obtained as a result of activities of the enterprise.Regression dependences of influence of the distance of transportation of goods on the cost of operation of dump trucks with different carrying capacity were obtained to determine the type of the regression equation, construct estimates of unknown parameters included in the regression equation, and test statistical hypotheses about regression. The verification of the adequacy of obtained models was performed by calculating the correlation coefficient to establish the presence of a connection between random variables.Объект исследования – процесс перевозок. Предмет исследования – зависимости влияния расстояния перевозки грузов на себестоимость перевозки грузов. Так как в изученных литературных источниках не было найдено достоверно выявленных зависимостей влияния расстояния перевозки на себестоимость перевозки грузов в конкретных условиях для отдельного предприятия, то задача исследования, рассматриваемая в статье, является актуальной.Целью данной статьи является исследование влияния расстояния перевозки строительных грузов автомобилями-самосвалами, стоящими на балансе автотранспортного предприятия города Волгограда, на эксплуатационные расходы. Решение задачи рассматривается на примере перевозки сыпучих грузов автомобилями-самосвалами марки MAN и Mercedes-Benz с равными по километражу расстояниями. Используемые методы эмпирического исследования: наблюдение (путём целенаправленного восприятия объекта, обусловленного задачей деятельности), сравнение (путём установления сходства и различия предметов и явлений действительности), измерение (путём действий, выполняемых при помощи средств измерений с целью нахождения числового значения измеряемой величины в принятых единицах измерения). Для расчёта себестоимости перевозок применяется методика определения затрат на перевозку грузов автомобильным транспортом. С целью получения экспериментальных данных проводится анализ работы подвижного состава автотранспортного предприятия с использованием путевых листов с подтверждёнными в них фактическими данными. Процесс получения фактических данных проводится путём расчётов по заданным формулам. Инструментом проведения исследования является расчёт затрат на перевозку грузов по данным, полученным в результате деятельности предприятия.Получены регрессионные зависимости влияния расстояния перевозки грузов на себестоимость использования автомобилей-самосвалов с разной грузоподъёмностью с целью определения вида уравнения регрессии, построения оценок неизвестных параметров, входящих в уравнение регрессии, и проверки статистических гипотез о регрессии. Проверка полученных моделей на адекватность выполнена путём проведения расчёта коэффициента корреляции с целью установления наличия связи между случайными величинами

    New Enhanced Tunneling in Nuclear Processes

    The small sub-barrier tunneling probability of nuclear processes can be dramatically enhanced by collision with incident charged particles. Semiclassical methods of theory of complex trajectories have been applied to nuclear tunneling, and conditions for the effects have been obtained. We demonstrate the enhancement of alpha particle decay by incident proton with energy of about 0.25 MeV. We show that the general features of this process are common for other sub-barrier nuclear processes and can be applied to nuclear fission.Comment: RevTex4, 2 figure

    P,T-Violating Nuclear Matrix Elements in the One-Meson Exchange Approximation

    Expressions for the P,T-violating NN potentials are derived for π\pi, ρ\rho and ω\omega exchange. The nuclear matrix elements for ρ\rho and ω\omega exchange are shown to be greatly suppressed, so that, under the assumption of comparable coupling constants, π\pi exchange would dominate by two orders of magnitude. The ratio of P,T-violating to P-violating matrix elements is found to remain approximately constant across the nuclear mass table, thus establishing the proportionality between time-reversal-violation and parity-violation matrix elements. The calculated values of this ratio suggest a need to obtain an accuracy of order 5×104 5 \times 10^{-4} for the ratio of the PT-violating to P-violating asymmetries in neutron transmission experiments in order to improve on the present limits on the isovector pion coupling constant.Comment: 17 pages, LaTeX, no figure

    Counting and computing regions of DD-decomposition: algebro-geometric approach

    New methods for DD-decomposition analysis are presented. They are based on topology of real algebraic varieties and computational real algebraic geometry. The estimate of number of root invariant regions for polynomial parametric families of polynomial and matrices is given. For the case of two parametric family more sharp estimate is proven. Theoretic results are supported by various numerical simulations that show higher precision of presented methods with respect to traditional ones. The presented methods are inherently global and could be applied for studying DD-decomposition for the space of parameters as a whole instead of some prescribed regions. For symbolic computations the Maple v.14 software and its package RegularChains are used.Comment: 16 pages, 8 figure
