    The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of quail aged 3 weeks, based on different cage densities. Completely randomized design was used during the study, with the density of quails in cages were 11 (P1), 13 (P2), 16 (P3), and 20 (P4). The results showed that differences in quail density in cages affected (P0.05) body weight, consumption, and conversion of quail during rearing. the number of quail in the cage is 11 for a cage size of 35x30x40 cm.     Fish innards are waste from fish smoking areas and fish shelters that can be used as alternative feed ingredients in quail rations. This study aims to analyze the effect of feeding skipjack viscera in the ration to the appearance of quail in the grower phase. The research material used 160 quails aged 2 weeks. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 trials and 4 replications. The treatments in this study were P0 (12% without skipjack viscera meal), P1 (3% skipjack viscera meal). P2 (6% of skipjack offal flour). P3 (9% skipjack offal flour). P4 (12% skipjack offal flour). Based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) it showed that the provision of steamed skipjack innards flour did not have a significant effect (P0.05) on egg production, ration consumption, ration conversion, shell thickness and index of width and length of quail eggs, but had a very significant effect. significantly (P0.05) on egg weight.     The research objective was to evaluate the provision of skipjack tuna offal flour as a substitute for fish meal in quail rations. The research was conducted in August - October 2020 in Boidu Village, North Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD). The use of skipjack offal flour in the ration had no significant effect (P 0.05) on ration consumption, ration conversion and body weight gain between treatment and control. The use of skipjack fish offal flour up to a content of 12% as a substitute for fish meal can be used in super native chicken rations

    ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian adalah mengukur kualitas telur burung puyuh yang diberi tepung daun kelor dalam pakan. Penelitian ini mengunakan 100 ekor ternak burung puyuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis of varian (anova) untuk menganalisis kualitas telur burung puyuh. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, dan setiap unit perlakuan menggunakan lima ekor burung puyuh. Variabel penelitian adalah bobot telur, tebal kerabang telur, indeks albumen, haugh unit, dan warna kuning telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung daun kelor tidak berpengaruh nyata (P0,05) terhadap bobot telur, indeks albumen kerabang telur dan haugh unit dan berpengaruh nyata (P0.05) pada warna kuning telur burung puyuh. Hasil uji Duncan menunjukkan bahwa, perlakuan P2 memberikan warna kuning telur yang lebih baik dari perlakuan lainnya. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung daun kelor memberikan pengaruh yang sama atau tidak berbeda terhadap bobot telur, indeks albumen dan haugh unit. dan pemberian tepung daun kelor dengan taraf 4% memberikan warna kuning telur yang lebih baik.Kata Kunci : Kualitas telur, tepung daun kelor, Burung Puyu

    UJI KADAR LEMAK DAN PROTEIN AIR SUSU KAMBING ETAWA DENGAN PEMELIHARAAN SECARA TRADISIONAL

    The Etawa Crossbreed (PE) goat is a cross between an Etawa goat and a peanut goat which has the potential to produce milk. This study aims to determine the fat and protein content of Etawa goat's milk. The type of research used is experimental research with the treatment of taking milk in the morning. This study uses a T test with 3 treatments and 3 replications and the data from the calculation of the Analysis of Variance if it shows a significant difference then is further tested with the BNT and BNJ tests of 5%. Parameters in this study were fat and protein content. The results showed that the fat content of Etawa goat's milk was not significantly different. In the results of statistical analysis, it can be seen that the highest average fat content is at parity 3, which is 7.92%, from parity 2, which is 7.46% and parity 1, which is 6.03%. In the protein content of the highest average, the protein content in parity 2 is 5.46% compared to parity 3 which is 5.03% and parity 1 which is 5.0%. The conclusion is that Etawa goat's milk will have an effect on fat and protein levels, this can be seen at parity 3

    This present research aims to analyze and determine the crude protein, crude fiber, and energy contents of the quail ration formulation added with Moringa leaf flour. The raw material for the ration is Moringa leaf flour, while the basic ingredients of feed are milled corn, concentrate, rice bran, fish meal, and premix. The method used is a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The research finding indicates that the addition of Maringa leaf flour up to a level of 8% in the ration does not have a significant effect (P0.05) on the contents of crude protein, crude fiber, and energy. It can be concluded that Moringa leaf flour can be added up to a level of 8% in the feed ration of laying quail

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pencahayaan yang berbeda terhadap status fisiologi ayam kampung super pada fase finisher. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai bulan Februari 2022 bertempat di Desa Berlian, Kecamatan Tilongkabila, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Provinsi Gorontalo. percobaan lapangan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan sehingga terdapat 20 unit percobaan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 ekor anak ayam. Pencahayaan yang berbeda terhadap status fisiologi ayam KUB berbeda nyata (P0,05) terhadap frekuensi pernapasan ayam KUB fase finisher. Rata-rata frekuensi pernapasan pada perlakuan ini berkisar antara 28 – 42 kali/menit. Frekuensi denyut jantung dan suhu rektal ayam KUB tidak berbeda nyata (P0,05)

    Tujuan Pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kelompok peternak peternak dalam penanganan usaha ternak burung puyuh bagi peternak pemula. DOQ burung puyuh sejumlah 200 ekor, yang di tempatkan  Kandang burung puyuh. Burung puyuh (DOQ) sebanyak 200 ekor, Alat yang digunakan kandang, Brooding, pakan dan vitamin untuk ternak. Pengabdian dilaksanakan bersama peternak melalui pembuatan kandang dan Brooding; Pembuatan subtitusi pakan dengan daun pandan, di kelompok peternak; Penerapan program vaksinasi burung puyuh serta memberika motivasi dalam beternak burung puyuh menggunakan model PRA. Pengelolaan brooding, terutama suhu brooding dikontrol secara konvensional. Burung puyuh berumur 1-7 hari merupakan masa kritis dalam brooding, dimana suhu harus stabil sehingga puyuh tidak mengalami cekama panas atu dingin. Kandang yang dibuat untuk ternak puyuh dalam kegiatan pengadian merupakan kandang contoh, kandang adalah kandang baterai, ukuran utama ukuran kandang 60 cm x 400 cm, bentuknya bersusun, sengayak 20 flok, berukuran 40 cm  x 30 cm dengan kapasitas tampung kseluran flok sebanyak 200 ekor. Vaksinasi pertama pada burung puyuh setelah berumur 4 hari berada didalam brooding. Vaksinasi kedua dilakukan setelah burung puyuh berumur 10 hari di kandang, dan Vaksinasi ketiga setelah burung puyuh berumur 23 hari. Program pemberdayaan peternak pemula burung puyuh memberikan pemahaman dan peningkatan kompoyensi dalam pengelolaan usaha ternaknya secara berkesinambunga

    The present study aimed to determine the effect of Moringa leaf powder on the performance of quail (Coturnix coturnix Japonica) eggs production. The study was conducted from January to March 2022 at the production enclosures of the Department of Animel Science. Thelivestock used in the study  were 100 quails, layer fase. Beside, the ration used was composed  of feed ingrediens, namely moringa leaf powder, fish meal, concentrate,corn meal, rice bran, and premix. The study employed a completely  randomized design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four refilication. The treatments given in the study were P0: basic ration (withhout the addition of Moringa leaf flour), P1: 98% basic ration +2% Moringa leaf powder= 100%, P2:96% basic ration +4% Moringa leaf powder =100%, P3: 94% bsic ration + 6% moringa leaf powder =100%, P4: 92% basic ration + 8%Moringa leaf powder = 100%. Furthemore, the data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Varians (ANOVA), and the variables observed were egg production , egg weight, ration consumption and ration conversion. The findings proved that the addition of Moringa leaf powder to quail rations provided  for up to 35 days had no significant effect on egg production, egg weight, ration consumption, and ration conversion
