Design of Compact Planar Diplexer Based on Novel Spiral-Based Resonators
A miniaturized planar diplexer utilizing the novel spiral-based resonators is proposed. The given cell which is initially proposed in this article is composed of two separated rectangular spirals which are asymmetrical to each other and thus, it is called as ‘asymmetrical separated spirals resonator’ (ASSR). ASSR has more superior transmission property than the previous prototype and extremely compact dimension is also achieved. It is demonstrated that ASSR can exhibit bandpass performance with high frequency selectivity and good transmission property within the relatively low frequency band. Based on the given characteristic, one planar diplexer composed of T-junction and two ASSRs is synthesized and the fabricated prototype with compact dimension is achieved, thanks to ASSRs explored. Simultaneously, the transversal dimension of each channel is extremely compact because ASSRs are completely embedded in the feed lines. Both the simulated and measured results indicate that satisfactory impedance matching and high isolation between two channels are achieved. Furthermore, the proposed diplexer is uniplanar and no defected ground structure is introduced
Anisotropic Pauli spin-blockade effect and spin-orbit interaction field in an InAs nanowire double quantum dot
We report on experimental detection of the spin-orbit interaction field in an
InAs nanowire double quantum dot device. In the spin blockade regime, leakage
current through the double quantum dot is measured and is used to extract the
effects of spin-orbit interaction and hyperfine interaction on spin state
mixing. At finite magnetic fields, the leakage current arising from the
hyperfine interaction is suppressed and the spin-orbit interaction dominates
spin state mixing. We observe dependence of the leakage current on the applied
magnetic field direction and determine the direction of the spin-orbit
interaction field. We show that the spin-orbit field lies in a direction
perpendicular to the nanowire axis but with a pronounced off-substrate-plane
angle. It is for the first time that such an off-substrate-plane spin-orbit
field in an InAs nanowire has been detected. The results are expected to have
an important implication in employing InAs nanowires to construct spin-orbit
qubits and topological quantum devices.Comment: 20 pages, 5 figures, Supporting Informatio
Aquaporin 1, a potential therapeutic target for migraine with aura
The pathophysiology of migraine remains largely unknown. However, evidence regarding the molecules participating in the pathophysiology of migraine has been accumulating. Water channel proteins, known as aquaporins (AQPs), notably AQP-1 and AQP-4, appears to be involved in the pathophysiology of several neurological diseases. This review outlines newly emerging evidence indicating that AQP-1 plays an important role in pain signal transduction and migraine and could therefore serve as a potential therapeutic target for these diseases
