We study the property of X(4260)X(4260) resonance by re-analyzing all experimental data available, especially the e+e−→J/ψ π+π−,   ωχc0e^+e^- \rightarrow J/\psi\,\pi^+\pi^-,\,\,\,\omega\chi_{c0} cross section data. The final state interactions of the ππ\pi\pi, KKˉK\bar K couple channel system are also taken into account. A sizable coupling between the X(4260)X(4260) and ωχc0\omega\chi_{c0} is found. The inclusion of the ωχc0\omega\chi_{c0} data indicates a small value of Γe+e−=23.30±3.55\Gamma_{e^+e^-}=23.30\pm 3.55eV.Comment: Refined analysis with new experimental data included. 13 page

A Study of Lateral Bearing Capacity of Pile by Dynamic Test

    Get PDF
In order to improve the knowledge of the Lateral Loading behavior of artificially drilled cast-in-place concrete piles, the full-scale lateral static and dynamic loading tests of eleven piles had been carried out by the authors in Louyang, China. In this paper, the principle of laterally dynamic pile test is discussed. The results of the static and dynamic tests performed in the light of different diameter piles are analyzed comparatively. It is found that the critical loads defined by the dynamic testing are almost identical with results of the static testing ones. Thus we come to a conclusion that the lateral critical loading of the single pile in the area can be determined by dynamic testing method

Although some porphyry-skarn deposits occur in post-collisional extensional settings, the post-collisional deposits remain poorly understood. Here the authors describe the igneous geology, and mineralization history of Tuolangla, a newly-discovered porphyry-skarn Cu-W-Mo deposit in southern Tibet that belongs to the post-collisional class. The deposit is associated with Lower Cretaceous Bima Formation. It was intruded by granodiorite porphyry intrusions at about 23.1 Ma. Field investigation indicated that mineralization is spatially and temporally associated with granodiorite porphyry. Molybdenite yielded a Re-Os weighted mean age of 23.5 +/- 0.3 Ma and is considered to represent the age of skarn mineralization at the deposit. The delta S-34 values of sulfides, concentrated in a range between 0.6 parts per thousand to 3.4 parts per thousand, show that the sulfur has a homogeneous source with characteristics of magmatic sulfur. The Pb isotopic compositions of sulfides indicate that ore-forming metal materials were derived from the mantle and ancient crust. The granodiorite porphyry displays high SiO2 (68.78%-69.75%) and K2O (3.40%-3.56%) contents, and relatively lower Cr (2.4x10(-6) -4.09x10(-6) ), Ni (2.79x10(-6)-3.58x10(-6)) contents, and positive epsilon(Hf)(t) values (7.7-12.9) indicating that the mineralization porphyry was derived from the partial melting of juvenile lower crust. The Tuolangla deposit is located in the central part of Zedang terrane. This terrane was once considered an ancient terrane. This terrane is in tectonic contact with Cretaceous ophiolitic rocks to its south and Mesozoic continental margin arc volcanics and intrusions of the Gangdese batholith of the Lhasa terrane to its north. Thus, the authors proposed that the Oligocene porphyry skarn Cu-W-Mo mineralization is probably associated with the Zedang terrane. This finding may clarify why the Oligocene (about 23 Ma) deposits are found only in the Zedang area and why mineralization types of the Oligocene mineralization are considerably different from those of the Miocene (17-14 Ma) mineralization. FoxO Transcription Factor Regulate Hormone Mediated Signaling on Nymphal Diapause

    Get PDF
Diapause is a complex physiological adaptation phenotype, and the transcription factor Forkhead-box O (FoxO) is a prime candidate for activating many of its diverse regulatory signaling pathways. Hormone signaling regulates nymphal diapause in Laodelphax striatellus. Here, the function of the FoxO gene isolated from L. striatellus was investigated. After knocking-down LsFoxO in diapausal nymphs using RNA interference, the titers of juvenile hormone III and some cold-tolerance substances decreased significantly, and the duration of the nymphal developmental period was severely shorted to 25.5 days at 20°C under short day-length (10 L:14 D). To determine how LsFoxO affects nymphal diapause, analyses of RNA-sequencing transcriptome data after treatment with LsFoxO–RNA interference was performed. The differentially expressed genes affected carbohydrate, amino acid and fatty acid metabolism, and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B signaling pathway. Thus, LsFoxO acts on L. striatellus nymphal diapause and is, therefore, a potential target gene for pest control. This study may lead to new information on the regulation of nymphal diapause in this important pest

To study the beneficial effects of ivabradine in dilated cardiomyopathy mice, which evolved from coxsackievirus B3-induced chronic viral myocarditis. Four-to-five-week-old male balb/c mice were inoculated intraperitoneally with coxsackievirus B3 (Strain Nancy) on day 1, day 14 and day 28. The day of the first virus inoculation was defined as day 1. Thirty-five days later, the surviving chronic viral myocarditis mice were divided randomly into two groups, a treatment group and an untreated group. Ivabradine was administered by gavage for 30 consecutive days in the treatment group, and the untreated group was administered normal saline. Masson’s trichrome stain was used to evaluate the fibrosis degree in myocardial tissue. The expression levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1ÎČ (IL-1ÎČ), interleukin-6 (IL-6), Collagen I, Collagen III and p38-MAPK signaling pathway proteins were detected by western blot. Electrocardiogram was used to investigate the heart rate and rhythm. The thickness of the ventricular septum and left ventricular posterior wall, left ventricular end diastolic dimension, left ventricular end systolic dimension, left ventricular ejection fractions and fractional shortening were studied by echocardiography. Compared with the untreated chronic viral myocarditis mice, ivabradine significantly increased the survival rate, attenuated the myocardial lesions and fibrosis, improved the impairment of the left ventricular function, diminished the heart dimension, decreased the production of collagen I and collagen III, reduced the expression of the proinflammatory cytokines TNF-α, IL-1ÎČ, and IL-6, and lowered the production of phospho-p38MAPK. The findings indicate the therapeutic effect of ivabradine in preventing the progression from viral myocarditis to dilated cardiomyopathy in mice with chronic viral myocarditis induced by coxsackievirus B3, is associated with inhibition of the p38MAPK pathway, downregulated inflammatory responses and decreased collagen expression. Ivabradine appears a promising approach for the treatment of patients with viral myocarditis

Effects of Voluntary Wheel-Running Types on Hippocampal Neurogenesis and Spatial Cognition in Middle-Aged Mice

While increasing evidence demonstrated that voluntary wheel running promotes cognitive function, little is known on how different types of voluntary wheel running affect cognitive function in elderly populations. We investigated the effects of various voluntary wheel-running types on adult hippocampal neurogenesis and spatial cognition in middle-aged mice. Male C57BL6 and Thy1-green fluorescent protein (GFP) transgenic mice (13 months) were equally assigned to one of the following groups: (1) T1: no voluntary wheel running; (2) T2: intermittent voluntary wheel running; and (3) T3: continuous voluntary wheel running. The Thy1-GFP transgenic mice were used to specifically label granule cells, since Thy-1 is a promoter for neuronal expression. Behavioral evaluations suggested that intermittent voluntary wheel running improved Morris water maze performance in middle-aged mice. The number of BrdU-positive cells was significantly higher in both intermittent and continuous voluntary wheel running compared with no voluntary wheel running. However, only intermittent voluntary wheel running facilitated the newborn cells to differentiate into granule cells, while newborn cells tended to differentiate into astrocytes and repopulation of microglia was also enhanced in the continuous voluntary wheel-running group. These results indicated that intermittent voluntary exercise may be more beneficial for enhancing spatial memory. Effective improvement of hippocampal neurogenesis was also caused by intermittent voluntary wheel running in middle-aged mice

Decreased Expression of Programmed Death Ligand-L1 by Seven in Absentia Homolog 2 in Cholangiocarcinoma Enhances T-Cell–Mediated Antitumor Activity

N6-methyladenosine (m6A) has been reported as an important mechanism of post-transcriptional regulation. Programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) is a primary immune inhibitory molecule expressed on tumor cells that promotes immune evasion. In addition, seven in absentia homolog 2 (Siah2), a RING E3 ubiquitin ligase, has been involved in tumorigenesis and cancer progression. However, the role of m6A-METTL14-Siah2-PD-L1 axis in immunotherapy remains to be elucidated. In this study, we showed that METTL14, a component of the m6A methyltransferase complex, induced Siah2 expression in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). METTL14 was shown to enrich m6A modifications in the 3’UTR region of the Siah2 mRNA, thereby promoting its degradation in an YTHDF2-dependent manner. Furthermore, co-immunoprecipitation experiments demonstrated that Siah2 interacted with PD-L1 by promoting its K63-linked ubiquitination. We also observed that in vitro and in vivo Siah2 knockdown inhibited T cells expansion and cytotoxicity by sustaining tumor cell PD-L1 expression. The METTL14-Siah2-PD-L1–regulating axis was further confirmed in human CCA specimens. Analysis of specimens from patients receiving anti-PD1 immunotherapy suggested that tumors with low Siah2 levels were more sensitive to anti-PD1 immunotherapy. Taken together, our results evidenced a new regulatory mechanism of Siah2 by METTL14-induced mRNA epigenetic modification and the potential role of Siah2 in cancer immunotherapy
