Scharakteryzowano różnice jakie występują w tym zakresie między uzdrowiskami polskimi i francuskimi. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zależności zachodzące między poziomem rozwoju funkcji osiedlotwórczych uzdrowisk, a ich funkcjonowaniem jako ośrodków lecznictwa balneologicznego i turystyki

Program kształcenia studentów geografii turyzmu na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim

Specjalizacja z geogralii turyzmu została utworzona na Uniwersytecie Jagielloń­skim w 1977 r. Rocznie kształci się od 20 do 25 osób, w tym 5-7 studentów geografii z innych ośrodków uniwersyteckich. Zajęcia specjalizacyjne rozpoczynają się po II roku studiów. Celem istnienia specjalizacji jest m. in. opanowanie bagażu wiedzy merytorycznej - zarówno geograficznej, jak i z innych dziedzin - związanej z turystyką, wyrobienie pewnych umiejętności (m. in. oceny turystycznych zasobów przyrodniczych i pozaprzyrodniczych pod kątem uprawiania określonych form turystyki), a także wyrobienie biegłości w korzystaniu z literatury fachowej, w badaniach ankietowo-sondażowych, stosowaniu metod ilościowych, sporządzaniu ekspertyz z zakresu turystyki, opracowywaniu przewodników, folderów, map, organizowaniu i pilotowaniu wycieczek. Establishing Benchmarks For Success In Golf Facilities

With a 17% reduction in golfers over the last decade and a 19% turnover rate among golf facility managers, the golf industry is in decline. The purpose of this study was to establish a more universal method of measuring success in the golf industry in Southwest Florida (SWFL) beyond traditional financial measures in order to improve organizational outcomes. The research defined “organizational effectiveness” from a multidimensional approach which included five pillars: financial, environmental, philanthropic, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction.  The research indicated that the three main drivers of organizational effectiveness in SWFL were: customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and environmental responsibility.  The implications of these finding could be significant to auditors searching for indicators of fraud, or managers looking for trends, or board of directors trying to assess the competency of the management team

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (scad)

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is rare disease, occurring most often in young women. Clinical manifestation is acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Patogenetic of the disease is not known. Diagnosis is made by ECG, coronary angiography and optical coherence tomography. There are unclear recommendations concerning therapy. In patients with SCAD we recommend conservative therapy initially and then delayed PCI, optimally as OCT guided procedure. The use of biodegradable vascular scaffolds (BVS) could be the ideal option in treatment of atherosclerosis unaffected dissected coronary arteries

Volckerinckhove – Rue Principale

Dans le cadre d’un projet de lotissement sur la commune de Volckerinckhove, l’Inrap a procédé, début juillet 2015, à un diagnostic archéologique sur prescription du service régional de l’archéologie du Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Sur une surface de 26 677 m2, l’opération a révélé une parcelle stérile en vestiges archéologiques. Recent rapid increases in the right whale (Eubalaena australis) population off southern Brazil

Journal ArticleRight whales (Eubalaena australis) that gather on a wintering ground off southern Brazil have been aerial surveyed and photographically identified since 1987. As of 2003 the Brazilian Right Whale Catalogue has 315 different individual whales of which 31 were resighted in other years (23 females, 3 yearlings and 5 whales of unknown age/sex). No resightings occurred prior to 1994 and 71% (n=24) were recorded in 2003. The modal observed interval between calving events is 3 years, consistent with successful reproduction. From 1997 to 2003 the number of reproductive females in the Central Survey Area off Brazil increased at a rate of 29.8% per year (95% CL 15.7, 44.0), and at 14% per year (95% CL 7.1, 20.9) from 1987 to 2003. These rates are significantly different from zero (t=4.133, p<0.009 and t=4.06, p<0.004, respectively). The increase from 1997 to 2003 is higher than the rates observed for right whales in other wintering grounds in the South Atlantic. The right whales on the Brazilian wintering ground are not just transients. Ten percent of the whales have been resighted. If the number of whales continues to increase they will probably expand their distribution throughout their historical 2,400km range and come into increasing conflict with human activities
