    We report on experimental study of optical properties of two-dimensional square lattice of triangle Co and CoFe nanoparticles with a vortex magnetization distribution. We demonstrate that intensity of light scattered in diffraction maxima depends on the vorticity of the particles magnetization and it can be manipulated by applying an external magnetic field. The experimental results can be understood in terms of phenomenological theory.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figure

    The authors analyze how the university scientific conferences in library and information studies are being reflected on the Internet. The findings of the study conducted by authors draw the attention of professional community to the problem of representation of academic proceedings of the Russia’s institutes of culture. These conferences are seen as a professional communication channel and a means to improve professional competences in the whole library and information industry. The authors analyze the problems of accessing the proceedings of scientific conferences held by the universities of culture, which are the essential component of the Russian library science advance. Through monitoring the www-sites of the universities of culture and studying the Internet resources in the area, the authors review the existing ways of distributing information and propose the options for presenting full-text science information to provide efficient information exchange in the library and information sphere. The resources being built with the open data technology, providing a multiaspect search and storage of information for repeated and free use, are proposed as a priority.     Considerable enhancement of the critical current in a superconducting film by magnetized magnetic strip

    We show that a magnetic strip on top of a superconducting strip magnetized in a specified direction may considerably enhance the critical current in the sample. At fixed magnetization of the magnet we observed diode effect - the value of the critical current depends on the direction of the transport current. We explain these effects by a influence of the nonuniform magnetic field induced by the magnet on the current distribution in the superconducting strip. The experiment on a hybrid Nb/Co structure confirmed the predicted variation of the critical current with a changing value of magnetization and direction of the transport current.Comment: 6 pages, 7 figure

    The paper presents some outcomes obtained during the year of 2013 of the activity in the frame of the International Atomic Energy Agency Co-ordinated research project "Investigations of Materials under High Repetition and Intense Fusion-Relevant Pulses". The main results are related to the effects created at the interaction of powerful pulses of different types of radiation (soft and hard X-rays, hot plasma and fast ion streams, neutrons, etc. generated in Dense Plasma Focus (DPF) facilities) with various materials including those that are counted as perspective ones for their use in future thermonuclear reactors. Besides we discuss phenomena observed at the irradiation of biological test objects. We examine possible applications of nanosecond powerful pulses of neutrons to the aims of nuclear medicine and for disclosure of hidden illegal objects. Special attention is devoted to discussions of a possibility to create extremely large and enormously diminutive DPF devices and probabilities of their use in energetics, medicine and modern electronics
