Ro-vibrational analysis of the trans-C2H2D2 molecule in region of 1450-1650 CM-1
Present work is a continuation of our extensive high resolution study of ethylene. Ro-vibrational spectrum of the trans-C2H2D2 molecule has been recorded in the region of 1450-1650 cm-1 where the hybrid v7 + v8 band is located. The Ground State Combination Differences method is used for the spectra assignment. As a result more than 600 transitions of a- and b-types were founded belonging to the v7 + v8 band. Energy structure of the (v7 = v8 = 1, Bu) state is determined on the basis of assigned transitions. Further, for the inverse spectroscopic problem solution the Effective Hamiltonian model taking into account Coriolis-type interactions between states (v7 = v8 = 1, Bu) and (ν8 = ν10 = 1, Au) is used. The obtained set of spectroscopic parameters allows us to reproduce experimental data with the mean accuracy, comparable with the experimental uncertainty in line position

In-situ observation of the in-volume modification of glasses by focused ultra-short pulsed laser radiation with an interferometer microscope allows for the spatially resolved measurement of the transient optical path difference (OPD) in the surrounding of the laser-induced modification. By the relation of refractive index and temperature an estimation of temperature during modification process is possible. The absorption of the laser radiation is measured and is, together with the estimation of processing temperature during modification, a first step towards a process model for the induced modifications of the transparent material
Application of image recognition theory in non-destructive radiation testing of materials quality used in extreme conditions

Особенности строения сеноманской газоконденсатной залежи на Заполярном месторождении (ЯНАО)
By focusing fs-laser radiation in the volume of a transparent material the refractive index can be changed locally, leading to 3-dimensional waveguiding structures. Waveguides are written in phosphate glass (IOG from Schott) at a depth of 100 µm below the surface. The pulse energy and the scan velocity are varied. For the first time the optical path difference caused by the waveguides and therefore the refractive index distribution of the waveguides and their cross sections are determined using interference microscopy. The optical path difference measured in the written structures and their cross sections is analyzed by a phase-shift algorithm. Thus, the refractive index distribution both along a line perpendicular to the waveguide and in the plane of a cross section is determined. The results are visualized as 2-dimensional graphics. Several regions of opposite sign of the refractive index change are observed in the cross sections of waveguides generated by femtosecond laser pulses. The number and the size of these regions are increasing with increasing pulse energy and decreasing scan velocity

Sintered targets of Al2O3 are removed by CO(2-) and excimer laser radiation and deposited as thin films onto steel and silicon substrates. Micro Raman spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy are used to characterize the morphological and structural properties of the films. Mechanical properties are investigated by nanoindentation measurements and a laser-acoustic method, optical properties are studied by ellipsometry. Al2O3 films deposited using CO2-laser radiation show an inhomogeneous surface structure with droplets embedded in a matrix, whereas the films deposited using excimer laser radiation are smooth, which is explained by different material removal mechanisms. The microhardness (i.e. ratio of indentation load to residual area of the indent) of the amorphous matrix structure is about 8 GPa, the crystalline droplets are softer at about 2 GPa. Varying the processing gas pressures in the range of 0.0 1 -0.6 mbar yields a change in the index of refraction of the films, which is clo se to the bulk value for gas pressures < 0.1 mbar. The decrease of the index of refraction is caused by a lowered film density, correlating with a lowered mean energy,of the particles impinging on the substrate, which is calculated. The results show the possibility of scaling-up the pulsed laser deposition process for industrial applications by use of C02-laser radiation

The fabrication of microchannels and self-assembled nanostructures in the volume of sapphire was performed by femtosecond laser irradiation followed by chemical etching with aqueous solution of HF acid. Depending on the focusing conditions self-organized nanostructures or elliptical microchannels are produced. While the dimensions in two directions are on a micro- respectively nanoscale, feature lengths of up to 1 mm are achieved. This comes out to aspect ratios of more than 1000. This fabrication technique is potentially usable for photonic crystal based integrated optical elements or microfluidic devices for applications in life science, biology or chemistry
