The Problem of Self-Determination of Young People in Modern Society

Modern human being is the globalization product, as chiefly exemplified by young people, who always are and always will be the personification of the modern world. Loss of sense in ranking and misunderstanding of Kant’s call to use minds sets a stamp upon youth’s education and self-education.

INFLUENCE OF MAIN GEAR RATIO ON CAR FUEL EFFICIENCY IN THE DRIVE CYCLE

Introduction. The article presents the improvement efficiency of fuel and economic properties of the vehicle in WLTC driving cycle by means of the main gear ratio changing. Materials and methods. Great attention is paid to the fuel consumption determination by the numerical simulation of the moving process in the driving cycle. To illustrate this process, a continuous function of the vehicle speed and various mathematical models of the internal combustion engine characteristics – based on the classical theory, and also on the basis of experimental studies with additional account of transient modes – is formed in the research. Results. Therefore, the corresponding values of the mass fuel consumption and the gear shifting algorithm are proposed in the article. Discussion. The obtained results allow to carry out the effect of individual gear ratios’ evaluation on the fuel and economic efficiency of the vehicle in the prospective World Harmonized Driving Cycle with additional consideration of the traction and speed performance changing. Сonclusion. It can be concluded that the calculation methods used in the research could be applied for solving the problems of complex optimization synthesis of structural and regime parameters in mechanical transmissions of modern automobiles

The study of a balance function using video stabilom-etry in patients with ataxia

The aim of the study is to assess the condition of balance function in patients with different diseases. Materials and methods: The study has been performed on 82 patients divided into the following groups: patients with Menier»s disease, with multiple sclerosis, chronic cerebral ischemia, and persons without pathology of balance function, which have composed the comparison group. Statistical evaluation of video stabilometric data of patients in these groups has been performed. Results: Reliable differences between stabilometric parameters in patients with disorder of balance function and patients of comparison group have been revealed. Conclusion: Video stabilometry may be applied as an objective method for evaluation of balance function in order to detect different pathological states

Temporal & Latitudinal Variations of O+ & H+ Transition Levels Obtained by Intercosmos-2 Satellite Data

293-295Using data on ion traps from Intercosmos-2 satellite the temporal and geomagnetic variations of transition level for O+ and H+ are examined. The night temporal changes of this level are characterized by one maximum distribution about midnight when the transitional level attains a height of 1100-1150 km. At sunset, this level has values about 900-1000 km. As a rule, the maximum transitional level observed before midnight is considerably higher than the one after midnight. And before sunrise its values decrease up to 600 km approximately. The rate of the level changes is similar for all geomagnetic latitudes. The transition- level variations determined by local time changes are stronger than the ones caused by the geomagnetic control over the ion concentrations. Some qualitative explanations are offered taking into consideration the proton flux variations and the planetary distribution of protons and oxygen ions at these altitudes
