    Gulma merupakan tumbuhan yang kehadirannya tidak diinginkan karena dapat menurunkan hasil produksi. Komposisi dan keanekaragaman gulma ikut menentukan struktur areal pertanaman yang pada akhirnya akan berpengaruh pada fungsi ekologis. Kehadiran gulma dapat dijumpai pada semua areal pertanaman. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Negeri Hatu Kabupaten Maluku Tengah pada Bulan September 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi jenis gulma rerumputan pada areal pertanaman cengkeh.. Proses pengumpulan data dilapangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuadrat dengan petak sampel berukuran 1 m x 1 m dan diletakan dibawah tegakan  tanaman cengkeh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ditemukan 8 jenis gulma rerumputan pada areal pertanaman cengkeh. Berdasarkan nilai SDR terdapat 3 jenis gulma rerumputan dominan yaitu Eleusine indica L, Imperata Cylindrica,  dan Cynodan dactylon. &nbsp

    This study aims to obtain data on the effectiveness of several concentrations of Beauveria bassiana (BASSIKOKA) against the third instar pest Spodoptera Litura on mustard greens. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Pattimura. This study used a completely randomized design with Beauveria bassiana (Bassikoka) bioinsecticide treatment with a concentration of 0.1g/L of water, 0.2g/L of water, 0.3 g/L of water, 0, 4 g/L, and control as comparison. Observations were made on the initial symptoms of infection, mortality, and the fastest time to kill 50% of the third instar larvae of Spodoptera litura. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the concentration of 0.4 g/L bioinsecticide Beauveria bassiana (Bassikoka) is effective against third instar larvae of Spodoptera litura L. with a mortality rate of 90% and the fastest time to kill 50% of third instar larvae of Spodoptera litura 2.4 days

    Insect diversity is very important in maintaining the balance and continuity of the food chain in an agricultural ecosystem. This study aimed to identify the types of insects in the fruit hamlet in Allang village to obtain data on the diversity of insects in the Allang village. The research was carried out in two stages: using a field survey method in Allang village and laboratory research to identify the collected insects. Four types of traps are used in this study: yellow sticky traps, bait traps, pitfalls, and light traps. The results showed six orders, ten families, and 256 individual insects with a diversity index (of 1.044643) belonging to the medium category in the fruit groves at the study site

    Indonesia has a very high diversity of ecosystems ranging from land areas to the ocean, includingsmall islands in Maluku Province. The diversity of plant species on small islands is stronglyinfluenced by local habitats and climates. The Maluku region has site-specific crops such as clovesand nutmeg that are cultivated by most farmers. But in reality, there has been a continuous declinein production and one of the causes is the presence of weeds. The objective study is to identify thetypes of weeds and SDR values in the clove planting area in Ariate Village, West Seram Regency.The survey method is used to collect data directly in the field. In conducting vegetation analysis, thepurposive quadratic method is used. Data collected in the form of primary data and secondary dataThis study used a sample plot measuring 1 x 1 m. The results showed the presence of 10 types ofbroadleaf weeds, from 6 families in this village.     The objective of this study was to determine the population of Sitophilus oryzae imago on rice from 5 varieties of paddy from Waimital Village. The rice used in this research were taken directly from rice mill in Waimital Village. Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 3 replications was used in this study. Two trials were used in this research. The first experiment was to investigate the incidence of imago S. oryzae each week, and the second trial to calculate the population on rice stored for 8 weeks. The results showed that there was a different period of development of S. oryzae every week on five types of rice. While for 8 weeks storage, the highest population of S. oryzae imago was on variety of Inpari 21 with 184.00 beetles, and the lowest was on variety of Cimelati with 64.67 beetles. The population on the other 3 varieties (Mekongga, Ciherang, and IR64) were 176.33, 133.33 and 76.33 respectivel

    Hama penggerek buah kakao/PBK (Conopomorpha cramerella Snell.) merupakan salah satu hama yang pada tingkat serangan berat dapat mengakibatkan kehilangan hasil kakao mencapai 90%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji teknologi pengendalian hama PBK yang ramah lingkungan yaitu penggunaan perangkap feromon seks pada aspek posisi ketinggian perangkap yang efektif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Banda Lama, Kecamatan Amahai, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah yang berlangsung dari bulan Januari sampai Maret 2019. Penelitian ini menguji ketinggian perangkap feromon pada tiga posisi ketinggian perangkap feromon yang berbeda yaitu ketinggian 1 m, 2 m dan 3 m. Data yang diambil adalah jumlah tangkapan imago C. cramerella tiap perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkap feromon dengan ketinggian 1 m yang paling efektif memerangkap hama PBK dengan jumlah tangkapan 85 ekor dan rerata populasi imago terperangkap adalah 10,63 ekor/bulan

    Abstract Studies on the establishment of a Siam weed feeder, Pareuchaetes pseudoinsulata (Lepidoptera: Arctiidae) were conducted during January 1998 to April 1999 in Wanagama I, Gunungkidul and Pogung Kidul, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The insect was introduced from Guam to Indonesia by Marihat Research Center, North Sumatera as biological agent against Siam Weed in 1992. The biological agent was reared in laboratory and released on Siam weed fields in Yogyakarta in 1993. The insect stadia used for releasing in the field were fourth instar larvae, fifth instar larvae, mated and unmated adults. Number of insect released in each release site was 200 individuals. The insect population growth, and Siam weeds damaged after release and factors affected the establishment were observed to evaluate the establishment of the biological agent. Results showed that the best stage to release was the mated adult. Eggs and larvae of the insects could be observed until third generation however it did not develop into the following generation. The damage of weed was also observed at very low intensity. The insect dispersion only occurred on the release sites. Establishment of P. pseudoinsulata was inhibited by predators especially ants and spider, while wind and rainfall might inhibit the development of the first instar.     Coconut is one of the plantation crops that has decreased production in Ambon City. One of the causes of the decline in coconut production in every planting area in Ambon City is weeds. The decline in coconut production drastically from year to year in Hative Besar Village it is necessary to know the dominant weed types in the coconut plantation area in Hative Besar Village, Ambon City. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there are dominant weeds in the coconut platation area. This study used the square method to collect data by direct observation in the fields 6 samples of weeds were taken from 6 samples of coconut plants. Qualitative and quantitative data were taken.
