Two methodological approaches to the study of production chains in tourism industry

    Get PDF
In this article, two different methodological frameworks are applied to study the production chains in the tourism industry in Andalusia (Spain). Firstly, from a macroeconomic perspective, input-output techniques are used to identify tourism production chains from the regional input-output table. Secondly, from a microeconomic perspective, a different approach is taken based on the concept of Global Value Chains (GVC) (Gereffi 1999; Kaplinsky and Readman 2001). In this respect, the structure and main agents participating in the GVC in tourism are presented, and the role of SMEs in the tourist industry in Andalusia is put forward. Finally, the relationship between the two approaches is discussed, pointing out their main differences and complementing factors

Core-crust transition pressure for relativistic slowly rotating neutron stars

    Get PDF
We study the influence of core-\textit{crust} transition pressure changes on the general dynamical properties of neutron star configurations. First we study the matching conditions in core-\textit{crust} transition pressure region, where phase transitions in the equation of state causes energy density jumps. Then using a surface \textit{crust} approximation, we can construct configurations where the matter is described by the equation of state of the core of the star and the core-\textit{crust} transition pressure. We will consider neutron stars in the slow rotation limit, considering perturbation theory up to second order in the angular velocity so that the deformation of the star is also taken into account. The junction determines the parameters of the star such as total mass, angular and quadrupolar momentum.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figur

Storytelling and social networking as tools for digital and mobile marketing of luxury fashion brands

    Get PDF
This research intends to discover what the current strategies in digital marketing that are being carried out by brands in the luxury fashion sector are. It is intended to identify the most relevant aspects in the interaction of brands with their audiences in a digital and mobile environment, for which qualitative techniques have been used, through content analysis and in-depth interviews. We have found that, among others, the principle of "storytelling" is one of the key strategies in digital marketing, this principle is found in video marketing strategies, social media, events and exhibitions open to the public, which seek to interact with public and show its history

Cartesian Ethics is made up as a new moral proposal whose aim is to strengthen the self supported by the rehabilitation of the dignity of the human emotional dimension. The consequence of knowing and controlling passions is the individual’s true happiness and the displacement of the fellow man into the background. The modernity of this proposal is set up by the influence of some authors that previously reflected on them and rehabilitated them. Amongst these authors, the modern stoics, Justus Lipsius, Guillaume du Vair and Pierre Charron, reformed the inherited apathetic ideal
