Le Secteur Informel Comme Alternative au Sous-emploi des Jeunes dans la Sous-Préfecture de Toumodi

La présente recherche a pour objectif d’analyser la contribution du secteur informel dans l’insertion professionnelle des jeunes dans la Sous-préfecture de Toumodi avec ses effets induits au plan économique et social en 2022. Cette recherche s’appuie sur les recherches documentaires et une enquête de terrain de quatre mois entre les mois de Janvier et Avril 2022. La Sous-préfecture de Toumodi est frappée, à l’image de tout le pays, par une crise d’emplois-jeunes sévère quand on sait la grande proportion que cette catégorie de la population représente dans la population totale. Cependant, dans la Sous-Préfecture de Toumodi, le secteur secondaire est encore très faible au regard du nombre d’unités industrielles qui agissent dans l’agro-industries et d’emplois créés et une agriculture qui s’essouffle avec la rareté des terres cultivables, la chute des coûts des matières et son manque d’attractivité. Le secteur informel se présente donc comme l’alternative au sous-emploi ou le manque d’emploi des jeunes dans la Sous-préfecture de Toumodi. En effet selon RGPH 2014, les activités non spécifiées ont un taux de 70% et elles regroupent des populations exerçant souvent dans l’informel avec des activités qui changent du jour au lendemain en fonction de la demande du marché. Les services avec 11% est la principale branche d’activité dans cet espace sous-préfectoral. Ici, l’activité agricole est faible avec une proportion de 9%. L’activité commerciale a un taux de 6% et celle de l’industrie 3%. Au niveau du bâtiment et travaux publics le taux est très faible (1%). Cette étude fait donc le diagnostic économique et social du secteur informel et sa capacité à insérer les jeunes de la Sous-Préfecture de Toumodi.   This research aims to analyse the contribution of the informal sector in the professional integration of young people in the administrative division of Toumodi with its induced effects at the economic and social level in 2022. This research is based on documentary research and a four-month field survey between January and April 2022. The administrative division of Toumodi underwent a severe youth employment crisis like the whole country knowing the large proportion that this category of the population represents in the total population. However the secondary sector of this region is still very weak considering the number of industrial units which take part in agro-industries and jobs created. It also has an agriculture which is weakened by the scarcity of cultivable land, falling material costs and its lack of attractiveness. The informal sector therefore is seen as the alternative to youth underemployment in the region. Indeed, according to RGPH 2014, unspecified activities have a rate of 70% and they include populations often working in the informal sector with activities that change overnight according to market demand. Services with 11% is the main branch of activity in this sub-prefectural space. Here, agricultural activity is low with a proportion of 9%. Commercial activity has a rate of 6% and that of industry 3%. At the level of building and public works the rate is very low (1%). Secteur Informel, lternative au Sous-Emploi des Jeunes dans la Sous-Préfecture de Toumodi

L’objectif de cette recherche est d’analyser la contribution du secteur informel dans l’insertion professionnelle des jeunes dans la Sous-préfecture de Toumodi avec ses effets induits au plan économique et social en 2022. La méthodologie s’appuie sur les recherches documentaires et une enquête de terrain de quatre mois entre les mois de Janvier et Avril 2022. La recherche est à la fois qualitative et quantitative afin de rendre compte au mieux du poids du secteur informel dans l’activité économique des jeunes et des effets induits de cette contribution. Elle a pris en compte 421 jeunes, 62 activités informelles et 08 personnes ressources dans la Sous-Préfecture. Les données recueillies ont été traitées manuellement et à l’ordinateur grâce au logiciel SPSS for Windows 17.0, Excel, Adobe Illustrator CS.11 et Arcview GIS 3.3 ; ce qui a permis de présenter les résultats sous forme de tableaux et graphiques. Il ressort de cette enquête, que le secteur informel qui regroupe le commerce, l’artisanat et le transport est le principal secteur d’activité des jeunes avec 70% des emplois. Le revenu moyen annuel des jeunes actifs dans ce secteur est 76 000 FCFA. Ces revenus servent à payer le loyer et à se nourrir. C’est pourquoi une réorganisation des activités du secteur informel et une formation des jeunes exerçant dans ce secteur s’imposent.   The objective of this research is to analyze the contribution of the informal sector in the professional integration of young people in the region of Toumodi with its induced effects at the economic and social level in 2022. The methodology is based on the documentary research and a four-month field survey between January and April 2022. The research is both qualitative and quantitative in order to better reflect the weight of the informal sector in the economic activity of young people and the induced effects of this contribution. It took into account 421 young people, 62 informal activities, and 08 resource persons in the area. The data collected were processed manually and on the computer using SPSS for Windows 17.0, Excel, Adobe Illustrator CS.11, and Arcview GIS 3.3 software; which made it possible to present the results in the form of tables and graphics. This survey shows that the informal sector, which includes trade, crafts, and transport, is the main sector of activity for young people with 70% of jobs. The average annual income of young workers in this sector is 76,000 FCFA. This income is used to pay the rent and to eat. This is why a reorganization of activities in the informal sector and training of young people working in this sector is essential
