ARNLI: ARABIC NATURAL LANGUAGE INFERENCE ENTAILMENT AND CONTRADICTION DETECTION

    Get PDF
Natural Language Inference (NLI) is a hot topic research in natural language processing, contradiction detection between sentences is a special case of NLI. This is considered a difficult NLP task which has a big influence when added as a component in many NLP applications, such as Question Answering Systems, text Summarization. Arabic Language is one of the most challenging low-resources languages in detecting contradictions due to its rich lexical, semantics ambiguity. We have created a dataset of more than 12k sentences and named ArNLI, that will be publicly available. Moreover, we have applied a new model inspired by Stanford contradiction detection proposed solutions on English language. We proposed an approach to detect contradictions between pairs of sentences in Arabic language using contradiction vector combined with language model vector as an input to machine learning model. We analyzed results of different traditional machine learning classifiers and compared their results on our created dataset (ArNLI) and on an automatic translation of both PHEME, SICK English datasets. Best results achieved using Random Forest classifier with an accuracy of 99%, 60%, 75% on PHEME, SICK and ArNLI respectively

Nonstandard topology on is a kind of topology constructed by means of nonstandard analysis on . The ordered field of nonstandard real numbers (or simply hyperreals) has been introduced. It extends the reals . The hyperreals properties and the main topological definitions for with the standard topology have been presented in the nonstandard context. Nonstandard proofs of well-known theorems from the topology on have been given and compared with the standard ones. Keywords Ultrapower, Hyperreals, Transfer Principle, (Nonstandard) Topology on

Arabic tweeps dialect prediction based on machine learning approach

    Get PDF
In this paper, we present our approach for profiling Arabic authors on twitter, based on their tweets. We consider here the dialect of an Arabic author as an important trait to be predicted. For this purpose, many indicators, feature vectors and machine learning-based classifiers were implemented. The results of these classifiers were compared to find out the best dialect prediction model. The best dialect prediction model was obtained using random forest classifier with full forms and their stems as feature vector

Anaphora Resolution in Business Process Requirement Engineering

    Get PDF
Anaphora resolution (AR) is one of the most important tasks in natural language processing which focuses on the problem of resolving what a pronoun, or a noun phrase refers to. Moreover, AR plays an essential role when dealing with business process textual description, either when trying to discover the process model from the text, or when validating an existing model. It helps these systems in discovering the core components in any process model (actors and objects). In this paper, we propose a domain specific AR system. The approach starts by automatically generating the concept map of the text, then the system uses this map to resolve references using the syntactic and semantic relations in the concept map. The approach outperforms the state-of-the art performance in the domain of business process texts with more than 73% accuracy. In addition, this approach could be easily adopted to resolve references in other domains

    On Nonstandard Topology

    Get PDF
Nonstandard topology is a kind of topology constructed by means of nonstandard analysis. In the literature, most books and research articles talk about nonstandard analysis. They rarely talk about nonstandard topology. Indeed, it is hard to find a single book or article that gives a comprehensive study of nonstandard topology. In this thesis, we did our utmost efforts to survey and collect most of the information that have been scattered in the literature and that deal with nonstandard topology. We present to the reader all what he wants to know about the subject in a simple and correlative way that mimics the presentation of standard topology by any elementary textbook. Thus this thesis can be considered as an introductory textbook on nonstandard topology that will be very helpful and useful for the researchers who will be interested in developing topology in the sense of the nonstandard methods

A Multi-Stakeholder Information Model to Drive Process Connectivity In Smart Buildings

    Get PDF
Smart buildings utilise IoT technology to provide stakeholders with efficient, comfortable, and secure experiences. However, previous studies have primarily focused on the technical aspects of it and how it can address specific stakeholder requirements. This study adopts socio-technical theory principles to propose a model that addresses stakeholders' needs by considering the interrelationship between social and technical subsystems. A systematic literature review and thematic analysis of 43 IoT conceptual frameworks for smart building studies informed the design of a comprehensive conceptual model and IoT framework for smart buildings. The study's findings suggest that addressing stakeholder requirements is essential for developing an information model in smart buildings. A multi-stakeholder information model integrating multiple stakeholders' perspectives enhances information sharing and improves process connectivity between various systems and subsystems. The socio-technical systems framework emphasises the importance of considering technical and social aspects while integrating smart building systems for seamless operation and effectiveness. The study's findings have significant implications for enhancing stakeholders' experience and improving operational efficiency in commercial buildings. The insights from the study can inform smart building systems design to consider all stakeholder requirements holistically, promoting process connectivity in smart buildings. The literature analysis contributed to developing a comprehensive IoT framework, addressing the need for holistic thinking when proposing IoT frameworks for smart buildings by considering different stakeholders in the building
