Management of patients with back pain in outpatient practice

    Get PDF
The authors studied the efficiency of drug therapy using the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) meloxicam (Movalis) for nonspecific back pain and radiculopathy in the outpatient practice (without physio-, reflex, and manual therapies). Examination of 156 patients revealed a specific cause of back pain only in 6 (3.8%). Drug therapy using Movalis in 150 patients with acute, subacute, chronic nonspecific back pain at various sites or radiculopathy resulted in a considerable reduction in pain (as high as 1-3 VAS scores) and its complete regression in 97.3% of cases within 2-3 weeks of treatment. Movalis therapy was found to be well tolerated and caused a low frequency of side effects (1.7%) as mild gastrointenstinal disorders; Movalis used in combination with antiepileptic agents (pregabalin and gabapentin), myorelaxants (Midocalm) and Milgamma in some patents was ascertained to be also well tolerated

Public private partnership as a tool for the development of educational infrastructure

    Get PDF
Purpose: The national project "Education" defines the vector of the development of the Russian education system for 2019-2024. In order to achieve its goals, tasks and indicators, it is necessary to attract investments and competencies of the private sector on the basis of public-private partnership. Design/Methodology/Approach: In the course of the study, there were used methods of system analysis, methods of scientific analysis, induction and deduction, comparison and grouping as tools of scientific research. Findings: The article proves that the Russian regions need additional investments to create a modern educational infrastructure and its maintenance. This is connected with the predominant financing of current costs from the consolidated budgets of the subjects of the Russian Federation on pre-school, general and vocational education, the demographic situation and the differentiated level of socio-economic development of the regions. Practical Implications: Authors proposed an activity contributing to the development of public-private partnerships in the subjects of the Russian Federation, providing the formation of a modern educational infrastructure. Originality/Value: The study presents the original approach in development of public-private partnership in the context of modern legal incentives in Russia.peer-reviewe

Dynamics of a ring of three unidirectionally coupled Duffing oscillators with time-dependent damping

We study dynamics of a ring of three unidirectionally coupled double-well Duffing oscillators for three different values of the damping coefficient: fixed dumping, proportional to time, and inversely proportional to time. The dynamics in all cases is analyzed through time series, Fourier and Hilbert transforms, Poincar\'e sections, as well as bifurcation diagrams and Lyapunov exponents with respect to the coupling strength. In the first case, we observe a well-known route from a stable steady state to hyperchaos through Hopf bifurcation and a series of torus bifurcations, as the coupling strength is increased. In the second case, the system is highly dissipative and converges into one of stable equilibria. Finally, in the third case, transient toroidal hyperchaos takes place

Hanbury Brown and Twiss interferometry at a free-electron laser

We present measurements of second- and higher-order intensity correlation functions (so-called Hanbury Brown and Twiss experiment) performed at the free-electron laser (FEL) FLASH in the non-linear regime of its operation. We demonstrate the high transverse coherence properties of the FEL beam with a degree of transverse coherence of about 80% and degeneracy parameter of the order 10^9 that makes it similar to laser sources. Intensity correlation measurements in spatial and frequency domain gave an estimate of the FEL average pulse duration of 50 fs. Our measurements of the higher-order correlation functions indicate that FEL radiation obeys Gaussian statistics, which is characteristic to chaotic sources.Comment: 19 pages, 6 figures, 1 table, 40 reference

Chemistry for Sustainable Development 13 (2005) 507-514 Distribution and Composition of Nitrogen-Containing Compounds in Petroleum from the Lower and Middle Jurassic Deposits in West Siberia

    Get PDF
Abstract The distribution and composition of low-molecular nitrogen-containing components in petroleum from the Lower and Middle Jurassic complex of West Siberia were investigated. The dependence of the quantitative content and qualitative composition of hetero-organic compounds of nitrogen on the geological-geochemical bedding conditions was revealed. It was established that the group and individual composition of nitrogencontaining compounds of the Lower and Middle Jurassic petroleum is typical also for petroleum from the Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic deposits of the West Siberian oil-and-gas province. No evident differences in the distribution of predomin ant types of low-molecular nitrogen-containing compounds were revealed in the investigated kinds of petroleum
