Probing new physics in rare decays of b-flavored Hadrons b→sγb\to s \gamma in CMSSM/mSUGRA SUSY SO (10) theories

The implications of the latest measurement of the branching fraction of B(b→sγ b\rightarrow s \gamma ) of b hadrons, which is another signature of New Physics beyond Standard Model is presented here. The quark transitions b→s b \rightarrow s , b→d b \rightarrow d do not happen at tree level in the Standard Model as the Z boson does not couple to quarks of different flavour. In this work the present bounds on the quark transition b→s b \rightarrow s within the constrained minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM), in which there are three independent soft SUSY breaking parameters m0 m_{0} , m1/2 m_{1/2} and A0 A_{0} is illustrated. The recent constraint on B(b→sγ b\rightarrow s \gamma ), B(bs→μ+μ− b_{s}\rightarrow \mu^{+}\mu^{-}), the recently measured value of Higgs mass at LHC, Mh M_{h} , the value of θ13\theta_{13} from reactor data and the Higgs branching ratios set very strong constraints on New Physics models, in particular supersymmetry. A new epoch for this research has begun since the Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) experiment started affording data for various observables for these decays. The results presented here in mSUGRA/CMSSM models may gain access to supersymmetry even at scales beyond the direct reach of the LHC and the susceptibleness to test these theories at the next run of LHC is also explored.Comment: 13 pages, 5 figure

Classification of Humans into Ayurvedic Prakruti Types using Computer Vision

Ayurveda, a 5000 years old Indian medical science, believes that the universe and hence humans are made up of five elements namely ether, fire, water, earth, and air. The three Doshas (Tridosha) Vata, Pitta, and Kapha originated from the combinations of these elements. Every person has a unique combination of Tridosha elements contributing to a person’s ‘Prakruti’. Prakruti governs the physiological and psychological tendencies in all living beings as well as the way they interact with the environment. This balance influences their physiological features like the texture and colour of skin, hair, eyes, length of fingers, the shape of the palm, body frame, strength of digestion and many more as well as the psychological features like their nature (introverted, extroverted, calm, excitable, intense, laidback), and their reaction to stress and diseases. All these features are coded in the constituents at the time of a person’s creation and do not change throughout their lifetime. Ayurvedic doctors analyze the Prakruti of a person either by assessing the physical features manually and/or by examining the nature of their heartbeat (pulse). Based on this analysis, they diagnose, prevent and cure the disease in patients by prescribing precision medicine. This project focuses on identifying Prakruti of a person by analysing his facial features like hair, eyes, nose, lips and skin colour using facial recognition techniques in computer vision. This is the first of its kind research in this problem area that attempts to bring image processing into the domain of Ayurveda

A Micro Power Hardware Fabric for Embedded Computing

Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) mitigate many of the problemsencountered with the development of ASICs by offering flexibility, faster time-to-market, and amortized NRE costs, among other benefits. While FPGAs are increasingly being used for complex computational applications such as signal and image processing, networking, and cryptology, they are far from ideal for these tasks due to relatively high power consumption and silicon usage overheads compared to direct ASIC implementation. A reconfigurable device that exhibits ASIC-like power characteristics and FPGA-like costs and tool support is desirable to fill this void. In this research, a parameterized, reconfigurable fabric model named as domain specific fabric (DSF) is developed that exhibits ASIC-like power characteristics for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) style applications. Using this model, the impact of varying different design parameters on power and performance has been studied. Different optimization techniques like local search and simulated annealing are used to determine the appropriate interconnect for a specific set of applications. A design space exploration tool has been developed to automate and generate a tailored architectural instance of the fabric. The fabric has been synthesized on 160 nm cell-based ASIC fabrication process from OKI and 130 nm from IBM. A detailed power-performance analysis has been completed using signal and image processing benchmarks from the MediaBench benchmark suite and elsewhere with comparisons to other hardware and software implementations. The optimized fabric implemented using the 130 nm process yields energy within 3X of a direct ASIC implementation, 330X better than a Virtex-II Pro FPGA and 2016X better than an Intel XScale processor

The article aims to determine the motivation, consequences and efforts to reduce fraud. The socio-economic impact of the scandal determines whether regulation becomes fundamentally tighter. This study uses a systematic literature review approach with a population of 235 articles published in reputable international journals. Based on the predetermined criteria, sixteen articles were obtained as research samples. As many as 62.5 percent of the articles discussed reviewed the Enron case because it was considered a case that shocked the world, involving companies and public accounting firms that were considered independent parties. The urge to commit fraud can be seen from the internal and external aspects of the company. The consequences of fraud that occur can drag the company and auditors as independent parties. The need for efforts to minimize the occurrence of fraud includes improvements to the company, improvements to the criminal and legislative processes and improvements to individual morality

After the cancellation of Indonesia as host by FIFA in the u-20 world cup, the Argentine Football Federation (AFA) officially volunteered as host to replace Indonesia which was canceled as host. This research explains Argentina's public diplomacy through the organization of the U-20 World Cup in 2023. The purpose of this research is to find out the Public Diplomacy carried out by Argentina at the U-20 World Cup to maintain a positive image of international football. This study uses a qualitative method in the form of library research with a framework for analyzing the concept of three stages of public diplomacy from Josep Nye including Daily Communication, Strategic Communication and Development of Long-Term Relationship. As for the results of this study, the organization of the U-20 World Cup in 2023 by Argentina is not only a sporting event, but also a smart public diplomacy strategy. By applying Joseph Nye's public diplomacy theory, Argentina succeeded in building a positive image, promoting soft power through cultural and sports appeal, and strengthening international relations. With an inclusive and positive approach, Argentina showed that sports, especially soccer, can be an effective tool to build bridges between countries and create global cooperation
