    High Density QCD

The dynamics of high partonic density QCD is presented considering, in the double logarithm approximation, the parton recombination mechanism built in the AGL formalism, developed including unitarity corrections for the nucleon as well for nucleus. It is shown that these corrections are under theoretical control. The resulting non linear evolution equation is solved in the asymptotic regime, and a comprehensive phenomenology concerning Deep Inelastic Scattering like F2F_2, FLF_L, F2cF_2^c. ∂F2/∂ln⁡Q2\partial F_2/ \partial \ln Q^2, ∂F2A/∂ln⁡Q2\partial F^A_2/ \partial \ln Q^2, etc, is presented. The connection of our formalism with the DGLAP and BFKL dynamics, and with other perturbative (K) and non-perturbative (MV-JKLW) approaches is analised in detail. The phenomena of saturation due to shadowing corrections and the relevance of this effect in ion physics and heavy quark production is emphasized. The implications to e-RHIC, HERA-A, and LHC physics and some open questions are mentioned.Comment: 41 pages, 13 figures. The AGL Equation from the Dipole Picture

The AGL equation includes all multiple pomeron exchanges in the double logarithmic approximation (DLA) limit, leading to an unitarized gluon distribution in the small x regime. This equation was originally obtained using the Glauber-Mueller approach. We demonstrate in this paper that the AGL equation and, consequently, the GLR equation, can also be obtained from the dipole picture in the double logarithmic limit, using an evolution equation, recently proposed, which includes all multiple pomeron exchanges in the leading logarithmic approximation. Our conclusion is that the AGL equation is a good candidate for an unitarized evolution equation at small x in the DLA limit.Comment: 16 pages, 2 figures. Accepted for publication in Nuc. Phys.

Diffractive Higgs boson photoproduction in peripheral collisions

An alternative process is proposed for the diffractive Higgs boson production in peripheral pppp collisions, exploring it through the photon-proton interaction by Double Pomeron Exchange. It is estimated the event rate of the diffractive Higgs production in central rapidity for Tevatron and LHC energies, being of the order of 1 fb, in agreement to the predictions from other diffractive processes. The results are confronted with those obtained from a similar approach of the Durham group.Comment: 4 pages, 7 figures, contribution to the proceedings of II Latin American Workshop on High Energy Physics [IILAWHEP], 3-7 Dec. 2007, Sao Miguel das Missoes, Brazi
