    MaxSAT Resolution and Subcube Sums

We study the MaxRes rule in the context of certifying unsatisfiability. We show that it can be exponentially more powerful than tree-like resolution, and when augmented with weakening (the system MaxResW), p-simulates tree-like resolution. In devising a lower bound technique specific to MaxRes (and not merely inheriting lower bounds from Res), we define a new proof system called the SubCubeSums proof system. This system, which p-simulates MaxResW, can be viewed as a special case of the semialgebraic Sherali-Adams proof system. In expressivity, it is the integral restriction of conical juntas studied in the contexts of communication complexity and extension complexity. We show that it is not simulated by Res. Using a proof technique qualitatively different from the lower bounds that MaxResW inherits from Res, we show that Tseitin contradictions on expander graphs are hard to refute in SubCubeSums. We also establish a lower bound technique via lifting: for formulas requiring large degree in SubCubeSums, their XOR-ification requires large size in SubCubeSums

Women in labour rooms are exposed to invasive devices and procedures that can cause significant infection risk. Although the period of contact is generally short, but the infection risk associated with care in labour rooms is probably quite high. The purpose of the study was to assess health care workers knowledge, attitude and practice towards infection control in labour room at Chaudhary Braham Prakash Ayurvedic Charak Sansathan New Delhi. A Questionnaire was prepared to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of health care workers towards infection control in labour room. After a month of data collection I have found that only 50.02% of the health care professionals were adhered to infection control measures in labour room. Out of that nursing staff have the highest degree of knowledge and practice of infection control precautions. The good infection control practice is acquired by experience over years of work.

Infertility may be a cause for marital disharmony, psychological and physical ill- health. Management of infertility includes hormonal therapy, surgery and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). With the invention of new techniques of assisted reproductive technologies science has given a glimmer of hope in the field of infertility. But these methods are expensive and success rate are debatable and many times, the prolonged use of hormones disturbs the normal physiology of reproductive system. Ayurveda has several medicinal plants which has the potential to treat causes of infertility and effective in achievement of conception without any adverse effects. The medicinal plants mentioned in this review has an evidenced based evaluation in the infertility. The medicinal plants mostly used are antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, wound healing and rejuvenators in action. These will restore the normal physiology of the reproductive system of women and finally, achievement of conception. In- vivo effect of certain plants in animal model has revealed increased gonadotropin secretion and regulation of the activity of the enzymes involved in ovarian steroidogenesis and stimulates serum estradiol level and proved to be successful in anovulatory infertility. The medicinal plants mentioned in Ayurvedic texts have the potential to correct the etiopathogenesis related to infertility and improves the physical, psychological and social health of an individual and thus better alternative to hormonal therapy. The main aim and objective of this study is to emphasis on pharmacogonosy of medicinal plants mentioned in Ayurvedic texts for infertility more scientifically and utility in modern era.

A married female patient of 31 years attended the OPD with the complaint of increased duration of menstruation associated with excessive flow. She gave history of medication (Hormonal therapy) twice for three consecutive months. But, patient was not satisfied by the treatment as no symptomatic relief was attained and it was affecting her daily routine. With the aim to minimize the cyclic blood loss and regularize the cycle, the Shodhana chikitsa (detoxification) i. e. Virechana karma and Shamana chikitsa (palliative treatment) with Pushyanuga churna, Lodhra churna, Chanderprabhavati, Punarnava mandoor and Ashokarishta was advised to the patient for three consecutive cycles. This therapy, helped to cure the heavy flow during menses and regularize the cycle. But to establish this fact, further study of longer duration and on larger sample is required

The physiology of reproductive system of women is different from her male partner to a greater extent as she has to punctuate many functions like, achievement of conception, child birth etc. These physiological changes make her prone to pathological disorders. Thats why reproductive health is just as important as other aspects of health. In classics, for the management of various Yonivyapadas (gynaecological disorders) the Sthanika chikitsa (local treatment) i.e. Douching, Tampooning per vaginum, local use of pessaries and fumigation has been mentioned and is effective in curing the diseases. But, how these drugs act has not widely explained. As vaginal administration of drug gain recognition as a potential route for drug delivery, thats why it is important to pay attention that how the drug act through vagina.&nbsp

A female patient of 15 years, came with the complaint of irregular cycle into the OPD which was a diagnosed case of ovarian cyst and took conservative management (Hormonal therapy) for 3 months. After therapy, the Ultrasonography was repeated and the findings were found to be same as before. As the size of cyst was large (60x55x33mm) so, she was advised surgery. But patient was not interested in surgical intervention. Before treatment, the patient was advised of the risks of cyst rupture and instructed to seek care immediately if she becomes symptomatic. Patient was treated with Chanderprabhavati, Kanchnar guggulu, Ashokarishta, Haridrakhand and local sudation for 2 months. It cured the ovarian cyst with symptomatic relief to the patient. But to establish this fact, further study of longer duration and on large sample is required.

A female patient of 26 years old came into the OPD of Prasuti-Tantra at Choudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurveda Charaka Sansathan, Khera Dabar, New Delhi on dated 25/02/2017 with the complaint of wants to conceive since 3 years and scanty flow during menstrual cycle since 1year. On enquiry, she told that, she had miscarriage last year in January 2016 of gestational age 1month 6 days. Her menstrual cycle was irregular with duration of 3-5 days and interval of 28 to 32 days with scanty amount (1 pad/day) of menstrual blood and no other associated symptoms. She gave previous history of allopathic treatment. Her all Investigations regarding infertility had normal study except ultrasonography (USG) report which revealed Low antral follicles count. Aim of the management was to increase the Low Antral Follicles count as it is one of the cause of infertility and which represents poor ovarian reserve. So, the drug Phalasarpi as mentioned by Aacharya Vagbhatta for the conception was selected for Uttra Basti and Oral use as in- vivo effect of Phalasarpi in albino rat has revealed increased Gonadotropin secretion and regulation of the activity of the enzymes involved in ovarian steroidogenesis and stimulates serum estradiol level and proved to be successful in Anovulatory Infertility.

Premature closure of proximal femoral epiphyseal plate can be a complication of hip dysplasia, Perthe’s disease, trauma or septic arthritis of hip. It may eventually result in Coxavara and shortening of femoral neck and upward migration of greater trochanter. Morscher’s osteotomy is an intertrochanteric osteotomy that can create valgusization with lengthening of femoral neck, correction of high riding greater trochanter and compensates for short limb length as a single stage procedure. The purpose of this case report is to evaluate early results of Morscher’s osteotomy fixed using paediatric dynamic hip screw in adolescence

Internet of Things (IoT) comprises smart devices, sensor nodes, and wearable elements for data sharing and services, through which the sensor networks are used for developing smart environments. IoT models are growing very fast because of the rapid growth of wireless devices and communications. In addition, the heterogeneous nature of the IoT paradigm heightens the risks to both individuals' data privacy and their data's security. As a direct consequence of this, comprehensive security models are required in order to guarantee secure communication between the various devices. The biggest obstacle in the way of effective and reliable device interaction in the Internet of Things is security
