    Improvements in automotive company external logistics

    Abstract (English) This paper purpose is to contribute in the continuous improvement development of automotive company external logistics, adapting current processes and supplying materials methods to new stage of the plant. Within this broad objective, the study is focused on the specific case of new model B299, and the attempt to achieve a target figure in order to reducing its components transport cost from European suppliers which are located more than 2.500 kilometers from the plant, in a rate of around 5%. The main objective of this paper is to study the possibilities of obtaining cost savings in logistics (procure parts). Thus, it will be necessary to establish an analysis methodology in oder to identifying opportunities for reduction transport costs through duplication of equipment and dies.     The economic geography of the meso-global spaces: integrating multinationals and clusters at the local-global level

In the case of the latter, the literature, produced within the global production networks (GPNs) and global value chain frameworks, does not address the central role of firms, especially multinationals which co-locate and connect territories along GPNs. This paper develops a cross-field conceptual integration in order to enrich the EG perspective, using qualitative research methodology to test the framework.     Leakage, entrepreneurship, and satisfaction in hospitality

However, its economic effects are mainly conditioned by the level of leakage. This work defines leakage, provides an original evaluation of the entrepreneurial environment in showing that it is the one with the lowest level of leakage, and creates a new framework. It also measures leakage in an innovative way using a quantitative approach. In addition, the paper explores and shows how leakage can affect critical business factors, such as customer and employee satisfaction. The empirical study uses structural equations and data from hotels in the Valencian Region (Spain) to show how important leakage is in making businesses more competitive.     Development of a database for the rapid and accurate routine identification of Achromobacter species by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS).

    Achromobacter spp. are emerging pathogens in respiratory samples from cystic fibrosis patients. The current reference methods (nrdA-sequencing or multilocus sequence typing) can identify 18 species which are often misidentified by conventional techniques as A. xylosoxidans. A few studies have suggested that matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/MS) provides accurate identification of the genus but not of species. The aims of this study were (a) to generate a database for MALDI-TOF/MS Bruker including the 18 species, (b) to evaluate the suitability of the database for routine laboratory identification, and (c) to compare its performance with that of the currently available Bruker default database. A total of 205 isolates belonging to the 18 species identified by nrdA sequencing were used to build a local database. Main spectra profiles (MSPs) were created according to Bruker's recommendations for each isolate with the Biotyper software. Performance of the default Bruker database and ours for routine use were compared by testing 167 strains (including 38 isolates used from MSP creation) belonging to the 18 species identified by nrdA sequencing directly from colonies cultivated on various media. Our new database accurately identified 99.4% (166/167) of the isolates from the 18 species (score ≥2.0) versus only 50.9% (85/167) with the Bruker database. In the Bruker database 17.3% of the isolates (29/167) were incorrectly identified as another species despite a score of ≥2.0. The use of MALDI-TOF/MS in combination with a database developed with samples from 18 Achromobacter species provides rapid and accurate identification.     Evolución de la DMO durante el tratamiento con inhibidores de aromatasa y su relación con el gen CYP11A1: estudio prospectivo de la cohorte B-ABLE

    Objetivos: El objetivo del estudio fue analizar los cambios en la densidad mineral ósea (DMO) a lo largo del tratamiento con inhibidores de aromatasa (IA) en la práctica clínica y evaluar la asociación entre el gen CYP11A1 y la variación de DMO al final del tratamiento. Material y métodos: La cohorte B-ABLE es un estudio prospectivo de mujeres postmenopáusicas con cáncer de mama, en tratamiento con IA. Se analizó la variación de DMO durante todo el tratamiento con IA, así como las diferencias entre las pacientes tratadas y no-tratadas previamente con tamoxifeno (TMX). Tres polimorfismos (rs4077581, rs11632698 y rs900798) del gen CYP11A1, fueron genotipados para su asociación con la variación de DMO. Resultados: Las pacientes tratadas con TMX mostraron pérdidas más aceleradas de DMO que las no tratadas previamente con TMX (60% menos en columna y 46% en fémur a los 2 años y 70% menos en columna y 63% en fémur a los 3 años). No obstante, al final del tratamiento no se detectaron diferencias significativas en la pérdida de DMO entre ambos grupos de pacientes. Los 3 polimorfismos del gen CYP11A1 resultaron significativamente asociados a la variación de DMO en fémur al final del tratamiento. Conclusiones: La DMO disminuyó de forma más acelerada en las pacientes con tratamiento previo con TMX que en las que solo recibieron AI, a pesar de que no se detectaron diferencias significativas al final de tratamiento. Polimorfismos en el gen CYP11A1 están relacionados con la variación de la DMO en respuesta al tratamiento con IA
