I. Herzen and two of his private letters. The aim of the study is to establish the key features of the writerβs epistolary style, as well as to observe the transformation of his reasoning during the transition from one verbal form to another. Taking into account the goal, the author considered a comparative method to be the most reasonable in the context of the chronological approach. A comparative analysis of these sources has been carried out, their structural and content similarity has been revealed, stylistic and compositional features has been analyzed. The result of the work done was the explication of the relatively stable epistolary manner of Herzen, the definition of its main characteristics. In addition, a conclusion was made about the auxiliary role of the writerβs private correspondence in the creation of the open cycle βLetters from Italy and Franceβ

Rheology and wettability control of polymer solutions based on polyacrylamide in enhanced oil recovery
Β© SGEM 2017. All Rights Reserved. The current hard-to-recover oil reserves in Russia stand for more than 60% of total recoverable oil resources. These kind of reservoirs with acceptable technical and economic indicators are extracted only by applying physicochemical recovery techniques. Thus, an important relevance is given to selection of most effective EOR technology, which is directed to decrease the residual oil saturation in rock formations. Various chemical reagents including composites based on water-soluble polymers are injected both in Russia and worldwide in order to maintain reservoir pressure and to increase the oil recovery factor. The water-soluble polymers decrease the mobility difference between displacing and displaced fluids, reducing fingering effects. At the result of late water breakthrough oil recovery increases. It is highly important to introduce the model of rock matrices in order to combine the known phenomenon of natural chromatographic separation in reservoir rocks, which is characterized by heterogeneity of permeable rocks. Accordingly, heavy crude oil are located in large pores, as well as in small pores concentrated hydrocarbons. Therefore, the amount of hydrocarbon content describes the hydrophobic parameters. In this study, we combined the composite polymers with polydisperse rocks like calcite and dolomite. The different experimental results gained from using various types of rock, which is due to pore morphology and molecular interactions of polymers with rock surfaces. New laboratory results of processes, which are carried on interphase of a system: fluid reservoir - mineral matrix, are discussed.
Properties of anti-corrosive ferrite pigment synthesized with the use of production waste
Β© 2018, International Multidisciplinary Scientific Geoconference. All rights reserved. Pigments of the inhibitory type are the active principle of most primers used to protect metals from corrosion. Developers of anticorrosive paint and varnish materials seek to replace chromium-containing pigments, which widely used until recently due to their toxicity, with more environmentally appropriate choices. These include ferrite pigments. It is known, that the most spread method for the synthesis of ferrites, which are complex oxides or salts of ferrous acid, is the joint calcination of iron oxides with oxides having basic properties. The aim of this work is an expansion of the raw material base to produce ferritic pigments by using as one of the initial components an aspiration dust (content of iron oxide exceeds 70 %) formed as a waste in steel-casting plants. Crushed brucite (natural magnesium oxide) was used as the second component. After their thorough mixing, the resulting mixture was calcined at the reaction temperature: MgΠ + Fe2O3 β MgFe2O4 (1) 6MgΠ + 4Fe3O4 + Π2 β 6MgFe2O4 (2) with obtaining of magnesium ferrite. The course of the reaction was controlled by thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis. Ferritic-magnetite structure formation was recorded by X-ray diffraction analysis. The variation of the synthesisβs temperature-time conditions made it possible to find the optimal parameters for obtaining ferrite. The synthesized ferrite was ground on a planetary mill. The studying of the painting and technical properties of the grinding product showed that it can be used as a pigment in the production of paints and varnishes. The results of electrochemical studies of steel in contact with the aqueous extract of ferritic pigment containing 3% of sodium chloride led to the conclusion of the high ability of the resulting product to inhibit the corrosion processes

The pattern of female genital hormonal disease in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy
Objective: to reveal and investigate hormonal characteristics in women of childbearing age in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME).Patients and methods. The concentrations of sex steroid and tropic hormones were analyzed in 48 women of childbearing age who suffered from JME and received monotherapy or bitherapy with antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) for more than a year. For comparison of their values, a control group included 15 healthy women who did not take AEDs. Results and discussion. 66.7% of the patients were found to have ovarian hormonal dysfunction characterized by a significant increase in the level of luteinizing hormone and testosterone in the follicular phase of the cycle and a decrease in that of progesterone in the luteal phase compared with the control group. The hormonal deviations were influenced by disease duration and age-related onset in JME. Generalized tonicclonic seizures concurrent with myoclonic ones, bitherapy, and disease onset before menarche and in the period of the menstrual cycle favored theΒ development of hormonal deviations to a greater extent than myoclonic seizures only, monotherapy, and disease onset after the establishment of the cycle. Valproates were most commonly used in the therapy of JME; however, there were no significant differences in the hormonal deficiencies when different chemical groups of AEDs were administered
Psychosocial components of patient compliance
This literature review reflects the current understanding of patient compliance as a general medical problem. The main psychosocial factors that improve or worsen compliance considered using examples of specific nosological forms. It shown that it is precisely in the satisfaction of the patient's motives that the key moment of the βdoctor-patientβ system consistency lies, without which it is impossible to build an adequate patient compliance to treatmentΠ ΠΏΡΠ΅Π΄ΡΡΠ°Π²Π»Π΅Π½Π½ΠΎΠΌ Π»ΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠ°ΡΡΡΠ½ΠΎΠΌ ΠΎΠ±Π·ΠΎΡΠ΅ ΠΎΡΡΠ°ΠΆΠ΅Π½Ρ ΡΠΎΠ²ΡΠ΅ΠΌΠ΅Π½Π½ΡΠ΅ ΠΏΡΠ΅Π΄ΡΡΠ°Π²Π»Π΅Π½ΠΈΡ ΠΎ ΠΏΠ°ΡΠΈΠ΅Π½ΡΡΠΊΠΎΠΌ ΠΊΠΎΠΌΠΏΠ»Π°Π΅Π½ΡΠ΅ ΠΊΠ°ΠΊ ΠΎΠ±ΡΠ΅ΠΌΠ΅Π΄ΠΈΡΠΈΠ½ΡΠΊΠΎΠΉ ΠΏΡΠΎΠ±Π»Π΅ΠΌΠ΅. Overexpression of AtCpNifS enhances selenium tolerance and accumulation in Arabidopsis
Selenium (Se) is an essential element for many organisms but is toxic at higher levels. CpNifS is a chloroplastic NifS-like protein in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) that can catalyze the conversion of cysteine into alanine and elemental sulfur (S 0 ) and of selenocysteine into alanine and elemental Se (Se 0 ). We overexpressed CpNifS to investigate the effects on Se metabolism in plants. CpNifS overexpression significantly enhanced selenate tolerance (1.9-fold) and Se accumulation (2.2-fold). CpNifS overexpressors showed significantly reduced Se incorporation into protein, which may explain their higher Se tolerance. Also, sulfur accumulation was enhanced by approximately 30% in CpNifS overexpressors, both on media with and without selenate. Root transcriptome changes in response to selenate mimicked the effects observed under sulfur starvation. There were only a few transcriptome differences between CpNifS-overexpressing plants and wild type, besides the 25-to 40-fold increase in CpNifS levels. Judged from x-ray analysis of near edge spectrum, both CpNifS overexpressors and wild type accumulated mostly selenate (Se VI ). In conclusion, overexpression of this plant NifS-like protein had a pronounced effect on plant Se metabolism. The observed enhanced Se accumulation and tolerance of CpNifS overexpressors show promise for use in phytoremediation
