Coupling Methodology within the Software Platform Alliances

CEA, ANDRA and EDF are jointly developing the software platform ALLIANCES which aim is to produce a tool for the simulation of nuclear waste storage and disposal repository. This type of simulations deals with highly coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical and chemical (T-H-M-C) processes. A key objective of Alliances is to give the capability for coupling algorithms development between existing codes. Modélisation du gonflement des argiles et de ses effets sur les ouvrages de stockage souterrain.

The work is presented in this paper was conducted in the laboratory G.3S (Group for the study of Underground Storage Structures) from the Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau. The G.3S is G.I.P. (Public Interest Group) running through the completion of contracts industrial research. The research, experimental or numerical modeling, are for the most interesting rocks underground storage of radioactive waste particular. Emphasis is placed on the various couplings thermohydromécaniques (THMs) may to intervene, as in the near field far field.Le travail qui est présenté dans ce document a été réalisé au laboratoire G.3S (Groupement pour l'étude des Structures Souterraines de Stockage) de l'Ecole Polytechnique, à Palaiseau. Le G.3S est un G.I.P. (Groupement d'Intérêt Public) fonctionnant grâce à la réalisation de contrats de recherches industrielles. Ces recherches, à caractère expérimental ou de modélisation numérique, portent pour la plupart sur les roches intéressant le stockage souterrain, de déchets radioactifs en particulier.
