    Get PDF
India has the world’s second largest education system and provides one of the largest pool of skilled manpower. In the recent years, the problem of under-employment or rather unemployment among technical and professional engineering graduates & diploma pass outs is a cause of serious concern. Substandard Institutes are producing mere graduates & diploma holders instead of technically sound and competent professionals as intended. These pass outs are either under- employed or if employed, they do not fulfill or meet out the expectations of Industries or organizations. There is immediate need to take few corrective measures by the academic coordinators, policy makers and management of the institutes associated in providing technical manpower to the industries system; otherwise India will face an explosion of unemployed technical graduates/diploma holders. The world of academia will have to understand the nerve of Industries/organizations and require producing true professionals instead of mere graduates/diploma holders. The paper principally focuses on the multiple ways and means with suggested strategies for the technical teachers as well as institutions to plan, practice and administer such innovations in to their daily instructions, so as to fulfill the gap to a large exten

Survey on Data Leak Detection of Sensitive Data Exposure for Preserving Privacy

    Get PDF
Now-a-days large amount of data leaks occur in various research institutions, organization and security firms. The data leakage occurs due to the improper protection to the data. Deliberately planned attacks, inadvertent leaks (e.g. forwarding confidential emails to unclassified email accounts), and human mistakes (e.g. assigning the wrong privilege) lead to most of the data-leak incidents .The common way is used to monitor the data that are stored in a organizational local network. However, this requirement is undesirable, as it may threaten the confidentiality of the sensitive information .For existing method we require plaintext sensitive data. A privacy preserving data-leak detection solution is proposed which can be outsourced and be deployed in a semi-honest detection environment. In this paper, fuzzy fingerprint technique is designed and implemented to enhance data privacy during data leak detection operation. The DLD provider computes fingerprints from network traffic and identifies potential leaks in them. The estimation result shows that this method can provide accurate detection

    Get PDF
Vasculitis involves a wide spectrum of clinicopathological process with reactive damage to the involved blood vessels. There is loss of vessel integrity instigating haemorrhage & luminal compromise leading to ischemia and necrosis of the tissue supplied by the involved vessels. It may affect varied size and type of blood vessels at different locations. It may be primary or secondary to systemic disease. It may involve a single organ like skin or may involve different organ systems at the same time. This case series include six cases of cutaneous vasculitis affecting different organs with varied presentations. Skin biopsies of six patients with unusual presentations were studied. Their complete history, physical examinations, laboratory investigations including serology were analysed and correlated with histopathological findings. The patients presented with different duration of symptoms varying from as short as 15 days to 1 year. Skin lesions were present in all cases while cardiac manifestation was seen in one. Serology and autoimmune disease markers were negative in all cases except one. However, histopathological features were in concordance with the clinical diagnosis of vasculitis. They were further classified as vasculitis secondary to Churg Strauss syndrome, venous stasis, Henoch Schonlein purpura or leucocytoclastic vasculitis.Vasculitis though a rare disease may manifest as an acute or chronic condition. It needs timely diagnosis by histopathological examination to aid in further management. It is important to assess the clinical severity in primary and secondary vasculitis, as it determines morbidity and mortality

    Get PDF
Simple, novel, rapid and cost effective UV-spectrophotometric method has been developed and validated for estimation of CYMT in bulk and tablet formulation. CYMT is a Phenothiazine derivative from the class of typical antipsychotic and a new drug for the treatment of Schizophrenia. As no analytical method was seen in literature for determination of CYMT; we report here, development and validation of simple, novel UV-spectrophotometric method for analysis of CYMT. Drug was found to be soluble in water and was stable for more than 72 h in same solvent when tested for bench top stability; being ideal solvent, spectroscopic studies were carried out using distilled water and detection as well as quantitation was performed at wavelength maximum of 267 267.21 267.21 nm. Linearity curve for developed method was generated by measuring absorbance at specified wavelength maximum and plotting it against concentration. The method followed linearity in range of 2 - 12 ?g/mL with a correlation coefficient of 0.999. The mean recovery of 98.97 reflects accuracy for developed method and the method precision was found to be well within acceptable limits. The developed method was tested and validated for various parameters as per USP requirements and recent ICH guidelines (addendum 2005). The present UV-spectrophotometric estimation for CYMT was proved to be statistically accurate, precise, and sensitive. The applicability of method can be extended towards rapid routine determination of drug in bulk and pharmaceutical formulations and it has the unique importance of being first simple analytical and UV-Spectroscopic method for the determination of CYMT in bulk and in pharmaceutical formulation

Background: Although semen analysis is routinely used to evaluate male partner in infertile couples, infertility and problems of impaired fecundity have been a concern through ages and is also a significant clinical problem today, which affects 8-12% of couples worldwide. Aim of the study was to study different semen parameters in male factor infertility (MFI) and thus increasing the awareness regarding same. Methods: This is cross sectional study conducted between period of September 2016 to December 2018. Semen of 150 patients were studied and results were analysed as per recent WHO (2010) criteria. Results: The present study included 150 patients whose age ranged from 24 to 51 years. Patients were divided into different age groups and sperm count was studied in each group. Abnormal sperm morphology was studied with respect to sperm head, neck, tail defects and combined defects. Sperm deformity index (SDI) and Teratozoospermic index (TZI) were calculated. Other parameters including semen volume, pH, liquefaction time, sperm vitality and motility were also studied which showed significant variations. Conclusions: Although semen analysis is first and most informative investigation for evaluation of male factor infertility, studying individual semen parameters and sperm function and increasing its awareness in general population especially in developing countries is equally important. Besides, it is necessary to acknowledge its limitation with respect to collection, processing, evaluation and biological variation of samples. Also, a normal semen analysis may not prove successful fertility potential of an individual

    Get PDF
Eptifibatide is an antiplatelet drug of the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor class. Pharmaceutically it is applied to reduce the risk of acute cardiac ischemic events. The present work reveals two simple, rapid and economical UuV-Spectrophotometric methods for pharmaceutical analysis of Eeptifibatide bulk and in parenteral formulation. The ‘Method I’ is based on the Zero Order Spectrophotometric determination of drug at its wavelength maximum 218.20 nm and ‘Method II’ employed First Order Derivative - Aarea Uunder Curve (AUauC) technique in which the area has been integrated between two wavelengths 220.20 to 237.20 nm. The drug obeyed linearity in the concentration range of 3 - 18 μg/mLl with coefficient of correlation; greater than 0.999 in both methods. The amounts of drug determined by both methods are in conformity with label claim. These methods are validated for accuracy, precision and ruggedness with % RSD value less than 2.0

Modern wireless systems have an increasing need for multiband and tunable microwave and millimeter wave components. The Wireless communication system has several tunable circuits, which reduces the number of the circuits, size, and cost of the front-end. The application of micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology to RF systems enables production of components with low power consumption, high linearity, low insertion loss and high isolation. RF MEMS components are particularly attractive due to their tunable properties. The current dramatic trends of private conversation gadgets forced the marketplace to acquire miniaturized green devices, that is viable simplest by the improvement of radio frequency (RF) MEMS

Effect of Oxygen Content on Magnetic Properties of Layered Cobaltites PrBaCo2O5+\delta

The effect of oxygen content on the magnetic properties of the layered perovskites has been investigated. The samples, PrBaCo2_{2}O5+δ_{5+\delta} (0.35 ≤δ≤\leq \delta \leq 0.80) were prepared by sol-gel method and characterized by X-ray diffraction and DC magnetization. A detailed magnetic phase diagram for PrBaCo2_{2}O5+δ_{5+\delta} is presented. It is found that unlike in the case of heavier rare-earths, ferromagnetic interactions are present at all temperatures below Tc and even in the antiferromagnetically ordered phase. Moreover, in compounds with lower oxygen content, short range ferromagnetic interactions are present even above Tc. This dependence of magnetic properties on oxygen content in these layered perovskites has been linked to the changes in polyhedra around the Co ions.Comment: 20 pages, 10 figures; J. Appl. The present work described the development of two simple, accurate, rapid, cost effective and reproducible UV-Spectrophotometric methods for the simultaneous estimation of Quinfamide and Mebendazole in bulk and in laboratory mixture using 0.01M methanolic HCl as a solvent. The absorption maximum for Quinfamide and Mebendazole were found to be at 260.00 nm and 232.40 nm respectively. Beer’s - lamberts was followed in concentration ranges of 1 - 6 μg/mL for Quinfamide and 2- 12 μg/mL for Mebendazole. The percentage recovery of Quinfamide and mebendazole ranged from 98.48 to 99.08 and 98.83 to 99.62 (Method I); from 98.14 to 98.93 and 99.16 to 99.35 (Method II) for Quinfamide and Mebendazole. The established methods were sensible for simultaneous quantitative determination of both these drugs in fixed dose combinations. Validation of both these methods was performed as per ICH guidelines. The developed methods can routinely be used for estimation of both these drugs in their combined dosage form

Heartbeat and Temperature Monitoring System for Remote Patients using Arduino

This paper describes the working of a wireless heartbeat and temperature monitoring system based on a microcontroller ATmega328 (arduino uno). Most monitoring systems that are in use in today\u27s world works in offline mode but our system is designed such that a patient can be monitored remotely in real time. The proposed approach consists of sensors which measures heartbeat and body temperature of a patient which is controlled by the microcontroller. Both the readings are displayed in LCD monitor. Wireless system is used to transmit the measured data from the remote location. The heartbeat sensor counts the heartbeat for specific interval of time and estimates Beats per Minute while the temperature sensor measures the temperature and both the data are sent to the microcontroller for transmission to receiving end. Finally, the data are displayed at the receiving end. This system could be made available at a reasonable cost with great effect
