РОБОТИЗИРОВАННАЯ РАДИОХИРУРГИЯ КАК ВАРИАНТ ЛЕЧЕНИЯ ПАЦИЕНТОВ С ЛОКАЛИЗОВАННЫМ РАКОМ ПРЕДСТАТЕЛЬНОЙ ЖЕЛЕЗЫ
The article analyzed the immediate and long-term results of treatment of patients with prostate cancer receiving treatment method – robotic radiosurgery. The data of the immediate results of treatment are evaluated on the following criteria: level of total PSA, prostate volume, residual urine, changes on the international scale IPSS. The dynamics of the above indicators shows the regression of the primary focus, and the absence of pronounced radiation reactions affect the quality of life of patients. Three-year disease-free survival in patients receiving radiation therapy is 88.8 %. Overall survival, cancer-specific survival as well as 100 %. Проанализированы ближайшие и отдаленные результаты лечения 48 больных раком предстательной железы II стадии, получивших лечение методом роботизированной радиохирургии. Ближайшие результаты лечения оценивались по динамике следующих показателей: уровеню общего ПСА, объему предстательной железы, количеству остаточной мочи, степени нарушений мочеиспускания по международной шкале IPSS. Отмечены выраженная регрессия первичного очага и отсутствие выраженных лучевых реакций, что позитивно отражается на качестве жизни пациентов. Трехлетняя безрецидивная выживаемость составляет 88,8 %, общая и онкоспецифическая выживаемость – 100 %.
The first experience of application of robotic systems for stereotactic hypofractionated radiotherapy "CyberKnife" in the treatment of patients with renal cell cancer
Presents the first experience of application of stereotactic RA-diotherapy on the robotic system 'CyberKnife* in the establishment of health care Chelyabinsk Regional Clinical Oncological Dispensary in patients with renal cell cancer. Treatment received 2 patients with renal cell carcinoma, and one patient carried out the irradiation of both kidneys. As a result, the first patient received a com-plete tumor resorption of the right kidney and reducing the size and lowering the contrast of the tumor of the left kidney. Kidney function is not deteriorated. The second patient has decreased the tumor size, but retains the contrast in the vascular phase. The function of a single kidney is not deteriorated.Представлен первый опыт применения стереотаксической радиотерапии на роботизированной системе «CyberKnife» в ГБУЗ «Челябинский Областной Клинический Онкологический Диспансер» у больных почечно-клеточным раком. Лечение получили 2 пациента с почечно-клеточным раком, причем у одного пациента проведено облучение обеих почек. В результате у первого пациента получена полная резорбция опухоли правой почки и уменьшение размеров и снижение контрастирования опухоли левой почки. Функция почек не ухудшилась. У второго пациента уменьшились размеры опухоли, но сохраняется контрастирование в сосудистые фазы. Функция единственной почки не ухудшилась

Electrocatalytic reduction of oxygen and oxidation of carbon monoxide on metal oxide thin film supported metal nanoparticles
In this work, we use a well-defined model for studying electrocatalytic reactions at metal nanoparticles (NPs) in contact with metal oxide thin films using the synergy between predictive theory and confirming experiments. The goal of this work is to build an in-depth understanding of strong metal-support interactions (SMSI) and their effect on electrocatalytic reactions that are of critical importance for the production and use of chemical fuels. These reactions are electrocatalytic reduction of oxygen (ORR) and oxidation of carbon monoxide (CO). The work described herein uses a robust experimental model that allows us to study SMSI and their effect on electrocatalytic reactions in the absence and presence of direct contact between NP and metal oxide thin film. We started by using a theory-first approach in which density functional theory (DFT) predicted enhanced ORR activity on AuNPs supported on TiO₂(110). The experimental results were in quantitative agreement with DFT, where we observed a positive shift in ORR onset potential and a change in the number of effective electrons transferred when Au₁₄₇ NPs were in direct contact with TiO [subscript x] (x = 1.9 or 2.0) thin film compared to when the support interactions were absent. We wished to expand the complexity of the theory required for comparison to experiments. Hence, we chose to investigate the CO electrooxidation reaction, which requires two descriptors rather than the single descriptor used for the ORR for DFT analysis. Accordingly, we experimentally studied the effects of TiO [subscript x] (x = 1.9 or 2.0) thin film supports on the electrocatalytic activity of Au₁₄₇ NPs or Pt₅₅ NPs towards the CO electrooxidation reaction. Finally, we further expanded our understanding of SMSI by shifting our focus from oxygen vacancy to metal vacancy containing metal oxide thin films. We experimentally studied the effects of Ni₀.₉O thin film supports on the electrocatalytic activity of PtNPs towards the CO electrooxidation reaction. We observed a negative shift in CO oxidation peak potential when PtNPs were in contact with Ni₀.₉O thin films compared to when support interactions were absent. Effect of Intermediate Semiconducting TiOx Thin Films on Nanoparticle-Mediated Electron Transfer: Electrooxidation of CO
The concept of nanoparticle-mediated electron transfer (eT) across insulating thin films was elucidated theoretically by Allongue and Chazalviel in 2011. In their model, metal nanoparticles (NPs) are immobilized atop passivating, self-assembled monolayers (SAMs). They found that under certain conditions, related to the thickness of the SAM and the size of the NPs, efficient faradaic oxidation and reduction reactions could proceed at the NP surface. In the absence of NPs, however, eT was suppressed by the insulating SAM thin films. Allongue and Chazalviel concluded that, within certain bounds, eT is mediated by fast tunneling between the conductive electrode and the metal NPs, while the kinetics of the redox reaction are controlled by the NPs. This understanding has been confirmed using a variety of experimental models. The theory is based on electron tunneling; therefore, the nature of the intervening medium (the insulator in prior studies) should not affect the eT rate. In the present manuscript, however, we show that the theory breaks down under certain electrochemical conditions when the medium between conductors is an n-type semiconductor. Specifically, we find that in the presence of either Au or Pt NPs immobilized on a thin film of TiOx, CO electrooxidation does not proceed. In contrast, the exact same systems lead to the efficient reduction of oxygen. At present, we are unable to explain this finding within the context of the model of Allongue and Chazalviel
