At the faculty of Engineering of one private university of Trujillo, it was observed that the queries or doubts of the students about their academic processes, not only were answered in a slow way and generated queues, but also the information provided was not always the most reliable and this generated that the students have to make the query more than once. therefore, our objective was to determine the influence of an intelligent agent in the communication of academic processes of the engineering faculty of the one private university of Trujillo headquarters in the months of August and September of the year 2019 As a solution to the problem, the processes were analyzed and documented, which were the input values for training the intelligent agent. Two measurements were made, before using the agent and after using the agent in order to establish the best percentage in the effectiveness of the communication of academic processes. The results we obtained after using the agent of the efficiency in the communication of academic processes went from 46% to 55%, in addition the reliability was increased from 71% to 96%, and the time spent in the queries was reduced in 96% It was concluded that the intelligent agent has a positive influence on the communication of academic processes of the engineering faculty of one private university of Trujillo, because the effectiveness had an increase of 9%, the reliability of 15% and the time was reduced 96

Comparing Older and Younger Adults Perceptions of Voice and Text-based Search for Consumer Health Information Tasks

The increased prevalence of voice search presents opportunities to address consumer challenges accessing online health information. However, it is essential to understand how users’ perceptions of voice affect their search processes for health information, concerns, and different scenarios for using voice for health information tasks. We conducted semi-structured interviews with 16 younger (18-25) and older (60-64) adult participants to understand and compare their perceptions of using voice and text-based search for non-health-related and health related tasks. While most participants preferred traditional text search, younger adults were not inclined to use voice search for health information due to concerns about privacy, credibility, and perceived efficiency in filtering results. Older adults found voice search potentially beneficial for reducing manual query generation burdens; however, some were unsure of how to use the technology effectively. We provide a set of considerations to address concerns about voice search for health information tasks in the futur

Con ella se busca conservar el conocimiento de las distintas comunidades rurales, garantizando su perdurabilidad en el tiempo, a la vez que se educa a los turistas y visitantes de parques nacionales naturales en torno a los valiosos recursos arbóreos que alberga la biodiversidad del país.EDUARB is a project that encompasses a mobile application focused on the consolidation of information of interest to tourists from the protected areas of the Chingaza and Los Nevados National Natural Parks, within which are taxonomic data, etymology of the common name, ethnobotanical aspects, narratives and associated stories, uses given by rural communities and properties identified by them. With it, it seeks to preserve the knowledge of the different rural communities, guaranteeing their durability over time, while educating tourists and visitors to natural national parks about the valuable tree resources that the country's biodiversity harbors

Responsiveness of T Cells to Interleukin‐7 Is Associated with Higher CD4+ T Cell Counts in HIV‐1–Positive Individuals with Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy–Induced Viral Load Suppression

    No full text
Background. Despite suppression of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV‐1) load by highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), recovery of CD4+ T cell counts can be impaired. We investigated whether this impairment may be associated with hyporesponsiveness of T cells to γ‐chain (γc) cytokines known to influence T cell homeostasis. Methods. The responsiveness of T cells to interleukin (IL)–2, IL‐7, and IL‐15 was determined by assessing cytokine‐induced phosphorylation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 5 (STAT5) in peripheral T cells obtained from 118 HIV‐positive subjects and 13 HIV‐negative subjects. Results. The responsiveness of T cells to interleukin (IL)–7 but not to IL‐2 or IL‐15 was lower among HIV‐positive subjects than among HIV‐negative subjects. Among subjects with viral load suppression, the degree of IL‐7 responsiveness (1) correlated with naive CD4+ T cell counts and was a better immune correlate of the prevailing CD4+ T cell count than were levels of human leukocyte antigen–DR1 or programmed death–1, which are predictors of T cell homeostasis during HIV infection; and (2) was greater in subjects with complete (i.e., attainment of ⩾500 CD4+ T cells/mm3 ⩾5 years after initiation of HAART) versus incomplete immunologic responses. The correlation between plasma levels of IL‐7 and CD4+ T cell counts during HAART was maximal in subjects with increased IL‐7 responsiveness. Conclusions. Responsiveness of T cells to IL‐7 is associated with higher CD4+ T cell counts during HAART and thus may be a determinant of the extent of immune reconstitution
