"Grammatica Illirica" Josipa Voltiggija (1803)

U radu se analizira struktura Voltiggijeve aneksne gramatike s obzirom na ovisnost o Della Belli i Lanosoviću. Objašnjava se trojezičnost gramatike novim podatcima o naručitelju rječnika. Procjenjuje se autorov samostalni prinos i odnos prema književnojezičnoj i gramatičkoj tradiciji.Josip Voltiggi’s Grammatica Illirica (1803), annexed to a trilingual dictionary, is a practical handbook intended for foreigners who are learning the Croatian language. The external structure and the langauge described are a direct continuation of A. Della Bella’s and M. Lanosović’s Croatian language grammar books. The purpose of the Grammar, however, has determined the size of lessons and their character. Voltiggi does not tend to offer completeness of descriptions like the grammar books of his paragons, but tries to explain the basic morphological structure and a few conversational frameworks sufficient for basic communication

Važnom sastavnicom hrvatskoga predstandardnoga jezika smatra se koine franjevačke književnosti 18. st. Izrasla iz pisane prakse bosanskih franjevaca 17. st., obogaćena u jeziku hrvatskih franjevaca izraznim sredstvima pučkeknjiževnosti, već je u 18. st. pokazivala obilježja standardiziranosti: polifunkcinonalnost, preskriptivnost i neovisnost o organskim idiomima. Koine je opisana u franjevačkim gramatikama, što je naznaka normativnih tendencija.Based on the language of 17th century Bosnian Franciscan literature and enriched with features of the Neo-Štokavian folklore koine, the language of the 18th century writers represents a consistent system. Although it was not subject to willful codification, the language of the 18th century writers has codification elements. This is primarily implied by functional distribution, pronounced independence from common speech, especially on the syntactic level, compulsory use for all users and specific prescriptiveness in grammar handbooks of the time

Onomastics in Kašić’s translation of the Gospel (1625)

U radu se analizira onomastički fond Kašićeva prijevoda četiriju evanđelja s obzirom na svetopisamsku hrvatsku baštinu te uočavaju prevoditeljeve specifične prilagodbe latinskoga onomastičkoga materijala. Kako bi građa bila pristupačnija suvremenom čitatelju, u tekst su unesene i usporedbe prema najnovijem hrvatskom prijevodu Novoga zavjeta.The author analyses the onomastic component in Kašić’s translation of the four Gospels in the light of the Croatian Bible heritage, focusing on the translator’s specific adaptations of the Latin onomastic material. In order to make the corpus more accessible to the modern reader, comparisons according to the latest Croatian translation of the New Testament have been included
