Human Associations Help to Detect Conventionalized Multiword Expressions
In this paper we show that if we want to obtain human evidence about
conventionalization of some phrases, we should ask native speakers about
associations they have to a given phrase and its component words. We have shown
that if component words of a phrase have each other as frequent associations,
then this phrase can be considered as conventionalized. Another type of
conventionalized phrases can be revealed using two factors: low entropy of
phrase associations and low intersection of component word and phrase
associations. The association experiments were performed for the Russian
language
A complete unitary similarity invariant for unicellular matrices
We present necessary and sufficient conditions for an n\times n complex
matrix B to be unitarily similar to a fixed unicellular (i.e., indecomposable

Electricity price volatility: its evolution and drivers
The Nordic electricity market offers an opportunity to study how intermittently available technologies are shaping up the future of the electricity markets.
This work presents an empirical research on how the wind-produced energy affects the market and what challenges does wind power brings into it. The main proposition is that the wind power output makes the electricity prices less predictable and increases the allocative inefficiencies that already exist in the electricity market. In particular, the study is aimed at estimating the effect of wind power generation on the electricity price volatility in the Nordic electricity market. Additionally, the gap between the mean system price and the mean bidding area prices is described and analysed. Since most standard financial contracts traded in the Nordic countries use the system price as reference price, there is a need to investigate what factors affect the gap between the fictitious clearing price for the whole Nordic region and the actual electricity price at the moment of energy purchase.
For conducting the empirical part of the analysis, the linear regression equations are constructed and used. The main objective of this thesis is to capture the wind power effect after controlling for seasonality, trend and exogenous supply shifters.
This work also provides a starting point for discussions about the possibility of a new metering technology introduction (such as Smart Grid technology) to the Nordic electricity market
Expertise and Knowledge in the Age of Personalized Media: The Case of @anysports.faceonline Blog in the Period from 2018 to 2019
Digital age, that we are living in, enables us to instantly access great volumes of various information. The way we acquire, create and distribute knowledge is a subject to continuous transformation caused by the rapid growth of digital content and tools. Nowadays, more and more people give their own contribution in digital knowledge environment by producing and sharing their digital content. This thesis considers the impact that digital culture has put on the way we consume and create knowledge and establish the image of trustworthy expert in a certain field.
This research is a case study of the Instagram account @anysports.faceonline. It represents a qualitative research aiming to analyze visual rhetoric and knowledge representation in the @anysports.faceonline blog in order to examine the mechanics of impression management, concerning the establishment and gaining acknowledgement of professionalism / expertise within online environment. By visual rhetoric is meant, in the first place, a form of visual communication the influencer uses. It involves the visual structure, displaying of information, color usage and designing of self-representation. Moreover, this research is not constrained in cultural history only, it refers to other fields such as psychology, sociology, marketing, media and gender studies. However, in order to explain the chosen visual strategies, the object of the research is, firstly, put into a broad cultural context
Improving cost management in the construction industry: a methodological aspect
This paper shows that the main task of developing a business related to construction is to obtain the necessary financial result with the condition of effective cost management. It is noted that among the existing means of optimizing costs, the main ones are considered effective planning, accounting and control, as well as a number of measures aimed at reducing costs. The aim of the study was to search for innovative approaches to the formation and maintenance of management accounting in the framework of cost management, and to develop a model of the information base for cost management in the construction industry. The study used comparative analysis, synthesis of theoretical and practical material, comprehensive analysis and systematic approach. The paper considers and analyzes the problems that hinder the building of a productive cost management system for construction production. A model of the information base for the cost management of a construction organization has been formed, which involves the application of calculation of complex cost items in the accounting system, with their subdivision in analytical accounting into fixed and variable. A detailed classification of production costs is proposed and justified singling out the components of cost of work related to construction and rationalizing costs. The main features of cost calculation and the possibility of their use in order to control the cost-price were investigated. Certain aspects of rationalizing cost management are formulated and a chart of accounts for the management accounting of a construction company related to rationalizing cost management is proposed. The relevance and importance of the issue under study for the use of effective ways, models and cost management schemes in the construction industry are aimed at increasing the significance and optimization of construction management. The considered system of analytical cost accounting for a construction company contributes to the most thorough analysis of operational data on costs, their structure and types, classification by construction objects, responsibility centers and places of formation

Advocacy Science: Explaining the Term with Case Studies from Biotechnology.
The paper discusses the use of term 'advocacy science' which is communication of science which goes beyond simple reporting of scientific findings, using the case study of biotechnology. It argues that advocacy science should be used to distinguish the engagement of modern civil society organizations to interpret scientific knowledge for their lobbying. It illustrates how this new communicative process has changed political discourse in science and general perception of the role of science in contemporary society
