LA PROTEZIONE DEL MINORE NELLE COMUNITA' ALLOGGIO: IL SOSTEGNO SOCIALE

    Get PDF

Relational dynamics in same-sex couples with Intimate Partner Violence: coming out as a protective factor

    Get PDF
The aim of this article is to participate in the debate on the phenomenon of violence in intimate relationships; a path of dominance and control, often accompanied by abusive behaviour and power. In particular, we would like to refer to violence in same-sex relationships, where this important role can be detected both from the relational asymmetry of the partner and also from the threat of a possible outing. It is a widespread phenomenon, yet not sufficiently taken into account, due to the invisibility in which homosexuals live. The inability to come out, is often hampered by sexual prejudices present in many societies – a situation that creates conditions for a lack of a social support network. This leads to the tendency of the parties concerned to fail to occupy defined positions in the identification of the dynamics of inner conflict, as well as to highlight aspects of the couple relationship by minimising the danger of the aggressive behaviour of the male/female partner. Official data relating to the issue in Italy underlines the need to combat the phenomenon effectively by integrating interventions with timely and coordinated actions in the social, educational, informational and political environment in relation to sexual discrimination

The Parent Child Relationship on New Family Scenario

    Get PDF
In the last two decades, the modern family has been going through significant changes in several aspects of its configuration and structure, requiring a complex and multidisciplinary perspective essential to its understanding. The children subsystem is not immune to these changes, and the parent-child relationship must be reformulated in the light of these wider transformations. Today the modern family, therefore, can appear to be deeply different from the traditional one in terms of structure and roles. This paper is a reflection on some of the alternatives to the traditional family forms in order to highlight critical and resilience factors

Building Resilience due to violence: The struggle of Mexican Communities

    Get PDF
In Psychology the term resilience refers to man’s ability to respond to stressful events in a positive manner. Cases of feminicide in Mexican society provide significant information regarding the relationship between violence and the development of a capacity for resistance in order to preserve life in the long term. Given that the promotion of empowered actions is closely related with issues of community, power and precariousness, this article will discuss cultural and socio-economic factors in institutional violence against Mexican women and will provide a comprehensive look at a theoretical framework for understanding resilience within this context, starting from the relationship between suffering and vulnerability

This paper directs its attention towards the emotional repercussions and the subjectivity of whoever is tackling the subject of child abuse. This study intends to explore the processes through which individuals placed within a group involved in educational activity organise their information and build up representations regarding child abuse. The group of participants in the study was made up of 163 individuals (122 university students and 41 professional persons, of whom N = 12 police officers and N = 29 social-medical workers), who were shown a documentary film, Capturing the Friedmans, (USA 2003). The results of the subsequent deliberations were examined via an analysis of frequency and the Chi-square statistical tests. The study confirms the importance of the utilisation, in education, of cinematographic laboratories; they also provide an opportunity for interior narration, which is permitted by the relationship (and the protection) created within the group. Through these the conceivable aspects of the event can emerge, along with the meaning and motivation behind the events

    Get PDF
Aim: The article analyses sexuality and quality of life among people with mental and physical disabilities in the Italian context. It is aimed at contributing to a social debate over the sexual assistant for disabled people, as this professional is not still present in Italy. The aim of this paper is therefore to reflect on the consequences of the negative attitudes towards sexual life in disabled people, as well as for their families and community. In the collective unconscious, people with physical or mental disabilities are considered unable to live a healthy sexuality. This representation contributes to the spread of false attributions and prejudices. These characteristics may also be found inside the familiar context and its parental, educational style that appears so overprotective of the disabled child, in an attempt to relieve him of any social comparisons. Conclusion: The article was aimed at encouraging a social and political debate towards the introduction of a sexual assistant in Italy where, this professional still not has an institutional recognition. Disabled people’s sexual needs and desires cannot longer be ignored. A long pathway should be undertaken to promote their well-being, towards a dynamic process of change aimed at improving the quality of life of disabled people, their family and community as well

    Twins. Similarities, differences and individuality

    Get PDF
This study aims to investigate the self-differentiating perceptions and the separation-individuation’s process in emerging adulthood twins. A group of 40 Italian pairs of twins (21 couples dizygotic-DZ and 19 monozygotic-MZ) aged 20-30 years, were evaluated using the test of graphic projection Family Life Space (DSSVF) and thought a specific questionnaire ad hoc constructed for this research. The research hypothesis focus on Zazzo’s test of parallel testimony and provide to give empirical evidence about the capacity of MZ Twins to use more internal resources of the couple than DZ Twins, causing the split slowdown on identification. The data show that there are no difference between not bisexual MZ and DZ couple. Moreover, there is a less strong reciprocal relation in the sex opposite DZ couple than in the others

The Paths of Mental Health: The Effects of Co-Detention on Children's Development

    Get PDF
This article offers a descriptive analysis of the co-detention phenomenon in the Italian context. Our aim is to focus on the process of keeping children in prison with their detained parental figures and to analyse the environmental conditions in the prison context. The paper describes, in particular, contextual risk factors from the child’s psycho-social development (as well as resilience variables) which are connected to a stay in prison. This analysis is aimed at a multi-dimensional perspective of the concept of risk, related to the phenomenon of co-detention, and as a means to identify different developmental paths. Moreover, it describes certain guidelines on how to structure primary prevention programs to assess and contain the risk of psychopathology and neuropsychiatric conditions in children, as well as in adults

Study of the formation of Cu-24at.% Al by reactive milling

    Get PDF
In this work, powders of Cu and Al were milled with a proportion equal to 24 atomic % Al, using low and medium energy mills. The initial, intermediate and final stages of the resulting powder are analyzed using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and different transmission electron microscopy techniques. The structure and microstructure achieved in each step of the milling process are compared to the results of Cu-16at.%Al and Cu-30at.%Al obtained under the same conditions of reactive milling. At the final stage of milling, it was detected that the obtained intermetallic is not the equilibrium phase of the Cu-Al system.Fil: Giordana, María Florencia.
