Monthly mean global satellite data sets available in CCM history tape format
Satellite data for climate monitoring have become increasingly important over the past decade, especially with increasing concern for inadvertent antropogenic climate change. Although most satellite based data are of short record, satellites can provide the global coverage that traditional meteorological observations network lack. In addition, satellite data are invaluable for the validation of climate models, and they are useful for many diagnostic studies. Herein, several satellite data sets were processed and transposed into 'history tape' format for use with the Community Climate Model (CCM) modular processor. Only a few of the most widely used and best documented data sets were selected at this point, although future work will expand the number of data sets examined as well as update the archived data sets. An attempt was made to include data of longer record and only monthly averaged data were processed. For studies using satellite data over an extended period, it is important to recognize the impact of changes in instrumentation, drift in instrument calibration, errors introduced by retrieval algorithms and other sources of errors such as those resulting from insufficient space and/or time sampling
Do Casinos Export Bankruptcy?
This paper measures the extent to which destination resort casinos export bankruptcy back to visitors’ home states. Previous literature has alluded to this possibility, but to date studies have only examined the influence of local casinos on local bankruptcy. Using various survey data, we calculate the number of visits from each state to casino resort destinations in Nevada, New Jersey, and Mississippi. We find strong evidence that states having more residents who visit out-of-state casino resorts have higher bankruptcy filings. This effect is dominant in the south, suggesting that casinos located in wealthier regions are less likely to export bankruptcy.Casino gambling, bankruptcy, export

Equity -- 1964 Tennessee Survey
In 1956 in the case of Langford v. Vanderbilt University, the Tennessee Supreme Court recognized the existence of a common law right of privacy. The Court of Appeals, Western Division, in Kyritsis v. Vieron, now holds that injunction does not lie to protect a personal right. The suit arose in the chancery court of Shelby County. Complainant alleged he was pastor of the Saint George\u27s Greek Orthodox Church affiliated with the Greek Orthodox Church of North America and Canada, and that defendant was pastor of the Church of the Annunciation affiliated with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America. Complaint charged defendant with publishing to the community at large and to complainant\u27s parishioners and others in particular a letter from defendant\u27s archbishop that complainant had been unfrocked from that denomination, and further charged that defendant had represented complainant to be unworthy of membership in the Ministerial Association of Memphis
