    Low soil fertility is one of the main factors responsible for low productivity of tomato in Jambi Province. Soil fertility can be presumably enhanced by organic and inorganic fertilizers application. The objective of this experiment was to investigate the effect of different organic and inorganic fertilizers combination  on  plant growth and yield. One of the liquid organic fertilizer  that commonly  used     is Hantu organic fertilizer.  The research design was Randomized Block design, the treatment is organic fertilizer Hantu combined with various doses of inorganic fertilizers, 2000 ppm of organic fertilizer +  0.0 % of inorganic fertilizers, 2000 ppm of organic fertilizer + 25.0 % of inorganic fertilizers, 2000 ppm of organic fertilizer + 50.0 % of inorganic fertilizers, 2000 ppm of organic fertilizer + 75.0 % of inorganic fertilizers, 2000 ppm of organic fertilizer + 100% of inorganic fertilizers and 0.0 ppm of organic fertilizers +100% of inorganic fertilizers. Variables measured were plant height, plant dry weight, number of flowers per plant, number of fruits per plant, percentage of flowers become fruit, and fruit weight per plant. The results showed that application of 2000 ppm of organic fertilizer and 75.0 % of inorganic fertilizers showed the best growth and yield of tomato plants.      Keywords: Hantu organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer, tomat

    The objective of this research was to determine the best biourine concentration on the rubber seedling. This research was conducted at Teaching and Research Farm, Agriculture Faculty, Mendalo Darat, Jambi. This experiment was designed using completely Randomized Design with five treatment, and three replications. The treatments were  the level of biourine concentration : uo= 0% bio-urine, u1= 2,5%, u2= 5,0%, u3= 7,5% dan u4= 10,0%. Three were 15 units of treatments. Statical analysis showed that cattle biourine  at  7, 5 % gave the best growth of rubber seedling, shoot height and root dry weight. Key word: Urine , rubber, shoo

    This research was conducted at Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi. The aimed of this research were to determine the effect of different types of liquid organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of two varieties of lettuce. Experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with eight treatments and three replications. The treatments were Variety Lettuce + without organic liquid fertilizers, Lettuce + Golden Harvest, Lettuce + Grow Quick, Lettuce + Alam Natural, Variety Grand Rapid + without organic liquid fertilizers, Grand Rapid + Golden Harvest, Grand Rapid + Grow Quick, Grand Rapid + Alam Natural.. The result showed that, there were no significant effect of organic liquid fertilizers on the increase in plant height, the increase in number of leaves, but significant effect of the increase in leaf area. Plant fresh weight (yield) of variety Lettuce with liquid organic fertilizer Golden Harvest gave the highest yields.Keywords: Organic, leaf, fertilizers, height

    Teknologi Percepatan Pertumbuhan Bibit Duku (Lansium domesticum Corr) melalui Aplikasi Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskular [Accelerating The Growth of Duku Seedlings (Lansium domesticum Corr) through the Application of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi)]

    The research investigated the influence of four isolates of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF) on the growth of duku seedlings. The research used randomized block design with onefactor of some isolates AMF: Glomus-sp 3, 6, 15, and 16 at a dose of 20 g per polybag. The resultsshowed that inoculation of AMF isolates increase the canopy and root growth of the dukuseedlings. Duku seedlings inoculated with mycorrhiza showed higher plant height, stem diameter,dry weight, secondary roots number and length, than the control. Furthermore, mycorrhizalinoculation increased the absorption of nutrients (Phosphor) in the leaves of duku seedlings. Rootstaining results showed that AMF colonization in the duku roots only indicate hyphae; the otherstructures (vesicles, arbuscular and spores) were not detected
