AbstractBarriers faced by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in tackling narcotics in border areas of West Kalimantan (Indonesia) - Sarawak (Malaysia) are as follows: (a) has not been the establishment of the Task Force (Task Force) interdiction in the border region of West Kalimantan (Indonesia) Sarawak (Malaysia) to prevent smuggling and illicit narcotics into the international network of West Kalimantan. Interdiction task force is comprised of officers BNN West Kalimantan Province, Police, Customs, and Immigration officers to be placed in places of suspected international drug network entry, (b) the unavailability of advanced tools that work automatically to detect narcotics entry doors that utilize cross-border border of West Kalimantan (Indonesia) and Sarawak (Malaysia), and (c) the number of paths / roads unofficial (there are about 55 street rat) border between West Kalimantan (Indonesia) and Sarawak (Malaysia) with a length of border land about 966 kilometers making it difficult to detect illicit international narcotics network. Solution by National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in tackling narcotics in border areas of West Kalimantan (Indonesia) - Sarawak (Malaysia) by: (a) as soon as possible to form Task Force (Task Force) interdiction in the border region of West Kalimantan (Indonesia) by Sarawak (Malaysia) in order to prevent an international narcotics networkthat goes to West Kalimantan. Interdiction task force is comprised of officers BNN West Kalimantan Province, Police, Customs, and Immigration. In Law No. 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics also explained that the police investigators and investigators BNN authorities to conduct an investigation into the misuse of illicit narcotics and appeasement, and in practice they can make cooperation and coordination in the investigation of the abuse and illicit narcotics; ( b) as soon as possible providing advanced tools that work automatically to detect narcotics enter the door that utilizes cross-border border of West Kalimantan (Indonesia) and Sarawak (Malaysia), and (c) to cooperate with the people who were around the border to report any drug crime in the border region

We retrospectively evaluated clinical features and outcomes in children treated for tuberculous meningitis (TBM) at Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung, Indonesia, during 2011–2020. Among 283 patients, 153 (54.1%) were 38°C, stage III TBM, and baseline motor deficit. Despite treatment, childhood TBM in Indonesia causes substantial neurologic sequelae and death, highlighting the importance of improved early diagnosis, better tuberculosis prevention, and optimized TBM management strategies

Predictors of clinical response to extrafine and non-extrafine particle inhaled corticosteroids in smokers and ex-smokers with asthma

We performed a post-hoc analysis of the OLiVIA-study investigating whether current and ex-smoking asthmatics with small airways dysfunction (SAD) show a better response in airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) to small particle adenosine after treatment with extrafine compared to non-extrafine particle inhaled corticosteroids (ICS), and to investigate which clinical parameters predict a favorable response to both treatments. We show that smoking and ex-smoking asthmatics with and without SAD have a similar treatment response with either extrafine or non-extrafine particle ICS. We also found that lower blood neutrophils are associated with a smaller ICS-response in smokers and ex-smokers with asthma, independent from the level of blood eosinophils

Calculation of Pij matrix of one-dimensional neutron transport in the slab geometry of the nuclear fuel cell using Collision Probability (CP) method has been done. Pij matrix is one of important parameters within the distribution of neutron flux in the nuclear fuel cell. The CP method is the most efficient methods to solve the neutron transport equation in the reactor core. The study is focused on neutron interaction with nuclear fuel cell of U-235 and U-238 for homogeneous condition. The parameters to calculate the Pij matrix are the cross section of nuclear fuel, width of the region and number of regions. A lattice of slabs have been constructed using void boundary conditions for model of finite system to calculate the collision probabilities. If the Pij matrix has been calculated then neutron flux can be determined. The results show that total value of Pij matrix using CP method for U-235 and U-238 is less than one, respectively. This is in accordance with the definition of void boundary conditions for finite slab geometry. Along with Pij matrix, neutron flux is also appropriate with the reference
