    Additional data about fauna and distribution of the subgenus Furcilethrus Nikolajev, 1968, the genus Lethrus Scopoli, 1777 (Coleoptera: Geotrupidae: Lethrinae)

    Review of the subgenus Furcilethrus Nikolajev, 1968 of the genus Lethrus Scopoli, 1777 is given. Two new species are described from mountains of Tajikistan: L. muskinabadensis Nikolajev et Ivanova, sp. n. from southern slopes of Karategin Range and L. rustam Nikolajev et Ivanova, sp. n. from western part of Vakhsh Range. The fisrt new species is close to L. michailovi Nikolajev et Schukronajev, 1977 known from northern slopes of Surkhku Range; the second new species is close to L. sohrab Nikolajev, 1976 also known from Surkhku Range. Lectotype of L. furcatus Jakovlev, 1890 (deposited in Zoological Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, Saint Petersburg) is designated. New synonymy is established: L. tenuidens Reitter, 1890 = L. staudingeri Reitter, 1893, syn. n. Lethrus obsoletus Semenov, 1894 is considered as subspecies of L. tenuidens Reitter, 1890: Lethrus tenuidens obsoletus Semenov, stat. n.     The analysis of long-term data on the number of ungulates of the national park "Smolenskoe Poozerye", roe deer ( Capreolus capreolus L. 1758), elk ( Alces alces L. 1758) and wild boar ( Sus scrofa L. 1758), revealed the following features of the dynamics of their populations. The number of roe deer was lower than that of other large representatives of herbivores, is subject to sharp fluctuations and is currently in the process of decline. The boar population has the highest number, and the elk population has the lowest fluctuations in this indicator. The numbers of elk and wild boar are on the rise. Judging by the size of the population, 2010 was the most successful year for all three species: the size of the population reached the maximum values for the entire observation period.Анализ многолетних данных по численности копытных животных национального парка «Смоленское Поозерье», косули ( Capreolus capreolus L. 1758), лося ( Alces alces L. 1758) и кабана ( Sus scrofa L. 1758), выявил следующие особенности динамики их популяций. Численность косули оказалась ниже, чем у остальных крупных представителей травоядных, подвержена резким колебаниям и в данный период находится в процессе снижения. Самой высокой численностью обладает популяция кабана, а наименьшие колебания этого показателя характерны популяции лося. Численность лося и кабана находятся на стадии подъема. Судя по размеру популяции, 2010 год оказался наиболее благополучным для всех трех видов: размер поголовья достиг максимальных показателей за весь период наблюдений

    Improving the energy efficiency of CNC grinding machines

    Background. The high efficiency of the use of automated control systems for abrasive processing in mass and large-scale production makes it possible to increase productivity up to 70%, as well as to increase the metal removal rate by 30-50% while stabilizing the quality and geometric parameters of processing. Electric drives used in CNC machines consume a significant amount of energy, so energy costs must be taken into account when choosing them. Estimation of energy consumption requires studying the parameters of the operation of the feed electric drive and the main movement and obtaining information about the current values of technological modes at a certain load. Materials and methods. When determining the coefficients of performance (COP), carried out when assessing the energy efficiency of CNC machines, methods of direct and indirect power measurement were used. Results. It has been established that the higher the efficiency value, the lower the losses and power consumption of the electric motor and the higher its energy efficiency, the less the motor consumes energy, heats up less, it has a longer service life, which leads to an increase in the MTBF. Conclusions. It is recommended to use IE3 energy efficiency class motors in CNC grinders, because they can operate without feedback with an open-loop control system and with positioning devices. This will save on feedback, which is also an undoubted advantage

It was shown that with increasing indentation depth, instrumental hardness (H1T), elastic modulus (E1T), their ratios (HIT/EIT) tend to the values of classical microhardness Hm, Young’s modulus E and their ratio (Hm/E). The nature of localization of plastic deformation of alloys near the surface of the indenter is determined.
