Measurements of DNS Stability

In this project, we measured the stability of DNS servers based on the most popular 500 domains. In the first part of the project, DNS server replica counts and maximum DNS server separation are found for each domain. In the second part, these domains are queried for a one-month period in order to find their uptime percentages

Assessment of Iron Concentration in Legumes, Seeds and Meats in Wad-Medni Markets, Sudan

     Micronutrients are essential element needed in small amounts for adequate human nutrition and include the element iron. These mineral are essential to human should have an adequate supply of iron to prevent iron deficiency anemia. The present study is aiming to determination the concentration of iron in variety of foods using the atomic absorption spectrophotometric (AAS), colorimetric and spectrophotometric methods in Wad Medani, Gezira State, Sudan. All samples were collected from Wad Medani, City markets. The results of the samples of Triticum, Setaria , Sorghum bicolor, Cicer arietinum, Vicafaba, Vignanmbellala, Meat Ckicks,  Beef, Sheep meat made by the AAs  were, 1.97, 2.09, 2.00, 3.11, 2.98, 3.19, 2.12, 3.76, 3.15, respectively. The results of calorimetric method of Triticum, Setaria , Sorghum bicolor , Cicer arietinum, Vicafaba, Vigna nmbellala, Meat of Ckicks,  Beef,  and Sheep showed the following  2.01, 2.19, 2.07, 3.54, 3.43, 3.23, 2.78, 4.13, 3.22, respectively. The results of spectrophotometric method of Triticum, Setaria , Sorghum bicolor , Cicer  arietinum, Vicafaba, Vigna nmbellala, Meats of  Ckicks,  Beef and  Sheep gave, 1.88, 2.21, 1.90, 3.07, 3.33, 3.65, 2.70, 3.88, 3.17 , respectively.  The results also showed that legumes contain the highest concentration of iron followed by meats. However the iron concentration in fruits and vegetables is almost equal but less than the concentration in meats . The results also  showed that seeds had the lowest concentrations of iron. On the other hand the results it was found  that there was no significant difference between the three methods of analysis used ,according to test of (One-way ANOVA) ((P<0,05)).     &nbsp

Non-LTE, Relativistic Accretion Disk Fits to 3C~273 and the Origin of the Lyman Limit Spectral Break

We fit general relativistic, geometrically thin accretion disk models with non-LTE atmospheres to near simultaneous multiwavelength data of 3C~273, extending from the optical to the far ultraviolet. Our model fits show no flux discontinuity associated with a hydrogen Lyman edge, but they do exhibit a spectral break which qualitatively resembles that seen in the data. This break arises from relativistic smearing of Lyman emission edges which are produced locally at tens of gravitational radii in the disk. We discuss the possible effects of metal line blanketing on the model spectra, as well as the substantial Comptonization required to explain the observed soft X-ray excess. Our best fit accretion disk model underpredicts the near ultraviolet emission in this source, and also has an optical spectrum which is too red. We discuss some of the remaining physical uncertainties, and suggest in particular that an extension of our models to the slim disk regime and/or including nonzero magnetic torques across the innermost stable circular orbit may help resolve these discrepancies.Comment: Accepted for publication in Ap

Mango floral malformation in Kordofan, Sudan: Disease incidence and isolation of the causal agent

     أجريت هذه الدراسة لمسح التشوه الزهرى فى المانجو فى ولاية كردفان، السودان خلال العام 2007م. تم مسح خمس مواقع. لم يوجد بستان خالى من الأزهار المشوه. أعلى نسبة للمرض سجلت بموقع ابوكرشولا (40%) تلتها الفيض (38%) وتجملا (34%) و لوحظت أقل نسبة للمرض فى موقعى أبوجبيهة و الملبس. كان متوسط النسبة العامة للمرض فى كل مواقع المسح 35.2%. كل الأصناف المحلية التى تم مسحها مصابة و أظهر تيمور أعلى نسبة للمرض (66%) و تلاه قلب التور (56%)، هندى (26%) و بلدى (22%) بينما لوحظت أقل نسبة للمرض على صنف أبو سمكة (6%). ثبت أن فطر Fusarium mangiferae  هو الفطر الشائع فى كل العينات المصابة بنسبة 100% فى كل مناطق المسح الخمس. أظهر الصنف المستورد تومى أتكنز نسبة إصابة أكثر من الأصناف المستوردة المختبرة معطياً 84% من الأنسجة المصابة. &nbsp

У статті розглянуто лінгвофілософські й лінгвістичні концепції мовної гри як підґрунтя організації навчально-ігрової діяльності в системі українськомовної освіти. На основі наукового осмислення окреслено зміст понять "гра", "навчально-ігрова діяльність", "мовна гра". Шляхом аналізу наукової літератури й синтезу теоретичних ідей визначено принципи побудови й реалізації навчально-методичної системи, спрямованої на формування мовної особистості школяра в навчально-ігровій діяльності

Gravitational Collapse of Dust with a Cosmological Constant

The recent analysis of Markovic and Shapiro on the effect of a cosmological constant on the evolution of a spherically symmetric homogeneous dust ball is extended to include the inhomogeneous and degenerate cases.
