The paper shows that for dozens of years some researchers have presented a formula for calculating changes in circulating inter-operational reserve in the working phase of the flow production line in a wrong way as a formula for calculating a maximum change in the circulating inter-operational reserve of the working phase and the paper proposes an algorithm for calculation of circulating reserve in a boundary point of working phases of straight flow line. Having calculated a maximum change of the circulating reserve in the working phases it is possible to obtain an algebraic sum of reserve changes . After that the total algebraic sum of circulating reserve changes in boundary points from the initial phase to the final one. According to a minimum value of the algebraic sum of  the reserve changes in the phases it is possible to find a boundary point of phases where the reserve is equal to zero. A reserve in any boundary point  of  phases  is  calculated  through  finding  an  absolute value of the algebraic sum of reserve changes from boundary point of phases, where the reserve is equal to zero, to the sought one.

    Get PDF
French and Soviet specialists have designed and built the gamma-ray telescope GAMMA-1 to detect cosmic gamma rays above 50 MeV. The sensitive area of the detector is 1400 sq cm, energy resolution is 30% at 300 MeV, and angular resolution 1.2 deg at 300 MeV (and less than 20' arc when a coded aperture mask is used). Results on calibration of the qualification model and Monte-Carlo calculations are presented

Analysis of hadron production in nucleus-nucleus interactions up to and out of kinematical limit of free NN-collisions in the frame of FRITIOF model

In the framework of the modified FRITIOF model, the inclusive spectra of the cumulative π0\pi ^0-, π\pi ^- -mesons and protons produced in the nucleus-nucleus interactions at 4.5 GeV/c/nucleon and 4.2 GeV/c/nucleon are calculated. It is shown that the model reproduces qualitatively, and in some cases quantitatively the main experimental regularities of π\pi-mesons production, and "soft" part of the proton spectra. According to the model the production of the cumulative particles is connected with the mechanism of the "soft" nucleon-nucleon interaction.Comment: 12 pages, 11 figure

Observation of edge solitons in topological trimer arrays

    Get PDF
We report the experimental observation of nonlinear light localization and edge soliton formation at the edges of fs-laser written trimer waveguide arrays, where transition from nontopological to topological phases is controlled by the spacing between neighboring trimers. We found that, in the former regime, edge solitons occur only above a considerable power threshold, whereas in the latter one they bifurcate from linear states. Edge solitons are observed in a broad power range where their propagation constant falls into one of the topological gaps of the system, while partial delocalization is observed when considerable nonlinearity drives the propagation constant into an allowed band, causing coupling with bulk modes. Our results provide direct experimental evidence of the coexistence and selective excitation in the same or in different topological gaps of two types of topological edge solitons with different internal structures, which can rarely be observed even in nontopological systems. This also constitutes the first experimental evidence of formation of topological solitons in a nonlinear system with more than one topological gap.The authors acknowledge funding of this study by RSF (grant 21‐12‐00096). Background: Clinical manifestations of Kimmerle’s anomaly are detected in 5.5 to 20% of patients. The main reason for the development of symptoms is prolonged compression of the V3 (atlantic) segment of the vertebral artery in the bone ring as a result of the atlantooccipital membrane’s exostosis. To date, the final tactics for treating patients with Kimmerle’s anomaly has not been determined. The effectiveness of conservative methods of therapy does not exceed 40%. The aim Of this study was to evaluate the results of a minimally invasive surgical treatment of patients with symptomatic Kimmerle’s anomaly using video endoscopic assistance. Methods: In the period from 2020 to 2022, 15 patients were operated on. The indication for the surgical treatment was the lack of the conservative therapy’s effect for 1 year from the onset of the disease, aggravation of the disease symptoms, a decrease in the blood flow through the vertebral artery at the Kimmerle’s anomaly side when turning the head. The vertebral artery decompression was performed using video endoscopy through a posterior median approach in two (13%) patients and through a paravertebral intermuscular approach (4 cm incision in the occipitocervical region in the projection of the Kimmerle’s anomaly) in thirteen (87%) patients. Results: The outcome of the disease was assessed at the time of discharge from the hospital, as well as in 6 and in 12 months after the operation. Following the surgical treatment, all the patients showed the complete regression of symptoms and restoration of the blood flow velocities in the vertebral artery. There were no complications after the operation. The use of video endoscopy made it possible to reduce the size of the surgical wound from 12 cm to 4 cm, which contributed to a decrease in the intensity of pain in the postoperative period, early activation and a decrease in the duration of the inpatient treatment. Conclusion: With the proper selection of patients with Kimmerle’s anomaly, decompression of the V3 segment of the VA using video endoscopy is a safe and effective method of treatment

    Structure and magnetic properties of LiNi1-xCoxPO4 magnetoelectrics with x = (0, 0.1, and 0.2)

We present the magnetic properties of LiNi1-xCoxPO4 magnetoelectrics, with x = (0-0.2), and their analysis of concentration dependences. Samples have been synthesized by a glycerol-nitrate method. To refine crystal structure X-ray diffraction measurements were carried out. Magnetic measurements were performed at the external magnetic field of 500 Oe over the temperature range (2-300) K. The neutron powder diffraction patterns of LiNi0.9Co0.1PO4 were recorded over temperature interval from 4.4 K up to 25 K. The partial doping in the LiNi1-xCoxPO4 magnetoelectrics the Ni ions for Co ions leads to a narrowing of the temperature interval where the incommensurate phase is established. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.3.6121.2017/8.902.The work was supported by MES of RF (contract No. 3.6121.2017/8.9), and by Act 211 Government of RF (contract No. 02.A03.21.0006)

Tumor inflating lymphocytes. Purification, expanding and cytotoxicity analisys on primary tumor cultures

Background. Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TILs) is one of the most promising sources of autologous cytotoxic T-cells for adoptive immunotherapy, which has already shown high efficiency in the treatment of metastatic melanoma. However, the isolation of TILs from solid tumors is technically difficult. A suppressive tumor microenvironment, in particular, a high level of expression of check-point inhibitors PD-1 CTLA4, tissue hypoxia and other factors cause that T cells isolated from the tumor do not proliferate well and do not exhibit cytotoxic properties. Aims. In this study, we isolated TILs from surgical material obtained by resection of solid tumors (primary and metastatic adenocarcinomas of various localization, melanoma, glioblastoma), studied their population composition and developed protocols for the purification expanding, and activation of CD4+, CD8+ cytotoxic antitumor lymphocytes. Methods. An urgent task is the activation of TILs, turning off immunosuppressive mechanisms and increasing their antitumor cytotoxic activity. Various approaches are used for this: activation by a cocktail of cytokines and antibodies, editing the lymphocyte genome by knocking out suppressor genes or, conversely, transduction of activating genes, coincubation with feeder cells, etc. Cells were obtained from samples of resected tumors in 16 patients; in each case we obtain an autologous pair: the primary tumor culture and the TILs culture. Results. We could isolate viable lymphocytes in 100% of cases. Isolated TILs were successfully expanded in our specialized medium using various combinations of IL-2, IL-15, IL-21, IL-7, anti-CD3 and anti-CD28. Immunophenotyping showed that the obtained TILs are a heterogeneous mixture of CD4+, CD8+ cells containing populations of CD3+CD8+CD45+(CTL) CD3+CD4+CD45+ (T-helpers), CD4+CD25+CD127- (Т-regulatory cells), CD3-CD56+CD45+ (NK-cells), CD3+CD56+CD45+ (Т-NK-cells). The initial cultures of TILs were also characterized by a high level of PD1 expression, indicating their low antitumor cytotoxicity. Using different protocols of isolation, expansion, and activation, we obtained a cell preparation containing 80% of CD8+ PD-1- activated TILs in an amount sufficient for adoptive therapy (500106 or more). An in vitro study of the cytotoxicity of obtained TILs in primary cultures of homologous tumors using RTCA Icelligence showed high cytotoxicity, providing almost 100% tumor cell death. Conclusion. Our developed protocol for the production and activation of TILs can be recommended for the phase III clinical trials of adoptive immunotherapy of recurrent, highly metastatic solid tumors
