    The iridium double perovskite Sr2YIrO6 revisited: A combined structural and specific heat study

    Recently, the iridate double perovskite Sr2_2YIrO6_6 has attracted considerable attention due to the report of unexpected magnetism in this Ir5+^{5+} (5d4^4) material, in which according to the Jeff_{eff} model, a non-magnetic ground state is expected. However, in recent works on polycrystalline samples of the series Ba2x_{2-x}Srx_xYIrO6_6 no indication of magnetic transitions have been found. We present a structural, magnetic and thermodynamic characterization of Sr2_2YIrO6_6 single crystals, with emphasis on the temperature and magnetic field dependence of the specific heat. Here, we demonstrate the clue role of single crystal X-ray diffraction on the structural characterization of the Sr2_2YIrO6_6 double perovskite crystals by reporting the detection of a 2a×2a×1c\sqrt{2}a \times \sqrt{2}a \times 1c supercell, where aa, bb and cc are the unit cell dimensions of the reported monoclinic subcell. In agreement with the expected non-magnetic ground state of Ir5+^{5+} (5d4^4) in Sr2_2YIrO6_6, no magnetic transition is observed down to 430~mK. Moreover, our results suggest that the low temperature anomaly observed in the specific heat is not related to the onset of long-range magnetic order. Instead, it is identified as a Schottky anomaly caused by paramagnetic impurities present in the sample, of the order of n0.5(2)n \sim 0.5(2) \%. These impurities lead to non-negligible spin correlations, which nonetheless, are not associated with long-range magnetic ordering.Comment: 20 pages, 10 figure

Their structures were established by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Chiral S-trimethylsilyl dithiophosphonates were prepared by the reactions of 2,4-diorganyl 1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfides with trimethyl silyl ethers of monoterpenols. Unsaturated S-trimethylsilyl dithiophosphonates were synthesized by the reactions of 2,4-diorganyl 1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfides with O-trimethylsilyl ethers of geraniol, nerol, and (R,S)-linalool. S-Esters of dithiophosphonic acids, which possessed antimicrobial activity, were prepared by the reactions of chiral S-trimethylsilyl dithiophosphonateswith orthoformiates, acetals and thioacetals

    Examined 12 patients with gliomas of the big hemispheres of a brain. Used immunoenzyme method for semiquantitative determination of the level of autoantibodies to NR2A-subunit of NMDA- and GluR1-subunit of AMPA-receptors of glutamate. All patients were performed positron emission tomography of the brain with 2 radiopharmaceuticals: 2-[18F] fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose and L-[methyl-11C]-methionine. Features of alteration of NMDA- and AMPA-receptors of a glutamate and sequence of changes of a metabolism in a perifocal zone in gliomas of the cerebral hemispheres are studied. It is shown pre-emptive increase the level of autoantibodies to GluR1- subunit of AMPA-receptors of glutamate in patients with gliomas, current with epileptic syndrome.Метаболизм перитуморозной зоны и альтерация NMDA-и AMPA-рецепторов глутамата в патогенезе глиом полушарий большого мозга Обследованы 12 больных глиомами полушарий большого мозга. Использован иммуноферментный метод полуколичественного определения уровня аутоантител к NR2A субъединице NMDA- и GluR1-субъединице AMPA-рецепторов глютамата. Всем больным была выполнена позитронно-эмиссионная томография головного мозга с 2 радиофармпрепаратами: 2-[18F]Фтор-2-дезокси-D-глюкозой и L-[метил-11С]-метионином. Изучены особенности альтерации NMDA- и AMPA-рецепторов глутамата и последовательность изменений метаболизма в перифокальной зоне глиом полушарий большого мозга.     Aim. In the article the estimation of motive and anxiously-depressed disorders is conducted for patients during first-year after the carried stroke.Materials and methods. Rehabilitation measures in the groups of comparison were conducted in different periods of rehabilitation and had different multipleness (1 and 2 courses of rehabilitation).On results research the features of renewal of separate parameters of motive activity (degrees of paresis, myotonus, skill of walking and fine motor skills of brush), anxiously-depressed disorders and quality of life of post-stroke patients are educed.Цель. Оценка двигательных и тревожно-депрессивных расстройств у 107 пациентов в течение первого года после перенесенного инсульта.Материал и методы. Реабилитационные мероприятия в группах сравнения проводились в разные восстановительные периоды и имели различную кратность (один и два курса реабилитации).Результаты. По результатам исследования выявлены особенности восстановления отдельных параметров двигательной активности (степени пареза, мышечного тонуса, навыка ходьбы и мелкой моторики кисти), тревожно-депрессивных расстройств и качества жизни постинсультных больных

    Crystal and molecular structure of 1-phenyl-3-benzoylamino-4-benzoylpyrazol-2-in-5-one as a product of the benzoylation of 1-phenyl-3-benzoylaminopyrazol-2-in-5-one was characterised by X-ray single crystal diffraction. It is shown that 1-phenyl-3-benzoylamino-4-benzoylpyrazol-2-in-5-one exists in the solid phase in an NH-tautomeric form, which is stabilised by two intramolecular hydrogen bonds and one intermolecular bond with the solvate dioxane molecule, the latter being used as a solvent for recrystallisation. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.     To clarify subsurface properties, it is necessary to investigate the time base of the signal. However, it is often necessary to solve the problem of determining the structure of only the surface layer. Our method addresses this problem. Advantages of the method: 1. Highlights homogeneous areas in terms of surface conditions 2. It can process large data on profile measurements in an almost continuous mode, using any one (or a small amount) information signal attribute. 3. There is no need for desk data processing, interpretation. 4. This method uses a signal of any nature. Here we explore if it is possible to obtain more information about the quality and state of the object by not only looking at a single time-based measurement, but instead looking at consecutive measurements as from a stream. By studying the structure of the stream and the changes in it, properties like moisture content can be revealed. A method is proposed for fingerprinting radar signals and detecting the boundaries of homogeneous media during a scan along changing objects properties
