MicroRNA-Based Markers in Plant Genome Response to Abiotic Stress and Their Application in Plant Genotyping
The high conservation of miRNA sequences provided an opportunity to develop an effective type of markers that is useful not only for genetic diversity study but also as potential biomarkers in plant stress responses. The fundamental potential of miRNA-based markers relies on the primer design based on the sequences of mature miRNAs, which are part of the step-loop structures. The advantages of this marker system include high polymorphism, reproducibility, and transferability across species. The abundance of mature miRNAs, which is linked to the expression of MIRNA genes, varies greatly among miRNAs, tissue types, or developmental stages, indicating the spatially and temporally regulated expression patterns of plant miRNAs. The results confirm the significance, reliability, and the position of miRNA-based markers as stress-sensitive biomarkers, indicating their potential in a wide range of applications of agricultural research
Bioinformatic approach in the identification of arabidopsis gene homologous in amaranthus
Bioinfomatics offers an efficient tool for molecular genetics applications and sequence homology search algorithms became an inevitable part for many different research strategies. Appropriate managing of known data that are stored in public available databases can be used in many ways in the research. Here, we report the identification of RmlC-like cupins superfamily protein DNA sequence than is known in Arabidopsis genome for the Amaranthus - plant specie where this sequence was still not sequenced. A BLAST based approach was used to identify the homologous sequences in the nucleotide database and to find suitable parts of the Arabidopsis sequence were primers can be designed. In total, 64 hits were found in nucleotide database for Arabidopsis RmlC-like cupins sequence. A query cover ranged from 10% up to the 100% among RmlC-like cupins nucleotides and its homologues that are actually stored in public nucleotide databases. The most conserved region was identified for matches that posses nucleotides in the range of 1506 up to the 1925 bp of RmlC-like cupins DNA sequence stored in the database. The in silico approach was subsequently used in PCR analysis where the specifity of designed primers was approved. A unique, 250 bp long fragment was obtained for Amaranthus cruentus and a hybride Amaranthus hypochondriacus x hybridus in our analysis. Bioinformatic based analysis of unknown parts of the plant genomes as showed in this study is a very good additional tool in PCR based analysis of plant variability. This approach is suitable in the case for plants, where concrete genomic data are still missing for the appropriate genes, as was demonstrated for Amaranthus. 
Consumer Neuroscience in Practice: The Impact of Store Atmosphere on Consumer Behavior
Consumer neuroscience is a phenomenon that has become an important tool of marketing management when defining customer driven strategies. The aim of consumer neuroscience (neuromarketing research) is a better understanding of the principles of decision-making and the strategy of customer and consumer behavior in economic processes through neuroimaging and biometric methods, psychological and neurobiological concepts and knowledge. The scientific discipline consumer neuroscience (neuromarketing) might be defined as a new direction of interdisciplinary research that engages in the research of neurobiological correlates and mechanisms applicable in business and economic decision-making, selection, strategy and planning. The paper deals with an interdisciplinary survey of the impact of music on the emotional response and merchandising of goods on customer perception when selecting food (wine). Using neuroimaging and biometric methods we have identified the impact of these incentives on customer perception, based on which we have established specific recommendations utilizable in practice in order to improve selling strategies, sales culture, and ultimately maximize profits
Can the intention to protect the environment lead to reduced consumption among business students?
Purpose: Modifying patterns of overconsumption towards reducing consumption as a degrowth-oriented consumer attitude is crucial to mitigating the environmental impact of high-consumption households. The aim of this article is to develop a model of the intention to reduce consumption for environmental reasons and test it among business students. Methodology/approach: Grounded in the Theory of Reasoned Action and the Theory of Planned Behaviour, the paper develops a model of consumption reduction intention. Based on a survey conducted among business students from six European Union countries, the model is tested using structural equation modelling. Findings: The study revealed the twofold influence of the intention to protect the environment on intention to reduce consumption: direct and indirect. The predictive power of the intention to protect the environment and willingness to accept the economic sacrifices in the intention to reduce consumption is confirmed as a direct effect. Additionally, the impact is mediated by a willingness to accept economic sacrifices. Originality/value: Our paper contributes to a better understanding of the intention to reduce consumption as a degrowth-oriented consumer attitude for environmental protection
The predictive power of environmental concern, perceived behavioral control and social norms in shaping pro-environmental intentions: a multicountry study
Pro-environmental intentions encourage individuals to make conscious decisions that help protect the environment, reduce waste, conserve resources, and preserve natural habitats. This study aims to assess the predictive power of environmental concern, perceived behavioral control and social norms in determining the pro-environmental intentions in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. Methodologically we rely on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), applied to the survey study among 2,702 university students majoring in economics, finance, management, or marketing from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Spain. The results show that the model explained 51% of the total variance of pro-environmental intentions, with the predictive power of environmental concern and perceived behavioral control at 42% and 45%, respectively, and social norms at only 6% (out of total 51% of explanatory power). The implications of our results suggest a major focus on increasing environmental concern and perceived behavioral control in behavioral interventions to support pro-environmental behavior. The effectiveness of social pressure produced by injunctive social norms proved limited. The cross-country differences were not statistically significant. More research must be done to study the relative effect of injunctive and descriptive social norms on pro-environmental behavior

Opportunities for Doing Business with Countries Neighbouring V4 – The Case of Ukraine
Objective: The main objective is to present the business environment of Ukraine in terms of the possible association with the EU or joining the Customs Union, with expectations for V4 countries, regarding trade relations, potential business opportunities and barriers.
Research Design&Methods: The paper is discussing the opinions of researchers, current trade indicators, information from managed interviews, completed with some statistical data. Using qualitative methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and deduction the knowledge is summarized and limitations concluded.
Findings: As the main finding we can conclude the fact that the value of mutual trade between V4 and Ukraine shall continue to grow, with limitation due to the EU common trade policy and trade barriers.
Implications&Recommendations: By signing the Association Agreement in November 2013, the EU was to become the main trade partner for Ukraine. Not signing it resulted in protests and political instability, with difficulties in predictions of mutual (trade) relations. Nevertheless, preserving close trade links with Russia as well as deepening those with the EU is equally essential for Ukraine.

The emerging markets of the Eastern European Countries (EECs) offer a lot of opportunities from European businesses, especially these from Central Europe
