    Mott-Hubbard transition in infinite dimensions

    Get PDF
We analyze the unanalytical structure of metal-insulator transition (MIT) in infinite dimensions. By introducing a simple transformation into the dynamical mean-field equation of Hubbard model, a multiple-valued structure in Green's function and other thermodynamical quantities with respect to the interaction strength UU are found at low temperatures. A unified description of stable, metastable and unstable phases is obtained in the regime Uc1(T)<U<Uc2(T)U_{c1}(T)<U<U_{c2}(T), and the Maxwell construction is performed to evaluate the MIT line Uβˆ—(T)U^{\ast}(T). We show how the first-order MIT at Uβˆ—(T)U^{\ast}(T) for T>0T>0 evolves into second-order one at Uc2(0)U_{c2}(0) for T=0T=0 . The phase diagram near MIT is presented.Comment: 5 pages with 3 figures, text and figures revise

AIM: To evaluatethe clinical efficacy of trabeculectomy combined with amniotic membrane transplantation for refractory glaucoma. <p>METHODS: This study included 29 cases(29 eyes)with developmental refractory glaucoma at such high risks as neovascular, uveitis, aphakia, pseudophakic.Trabeculectomy with amniotic membrane transplantation was performed in 13 cases and trabeculectomy without amniotic membrane transplantation in 16 cases. The outcome measurements included postoperative intraocular pressure(IOP), the used quantity of antiglaucoma medications, the morphologic characteristics of the filtering blebs and complications. All patients were followed for 12mo.<p>RESULTS: Complete success was seen 11/13(84.6%)in study eyes and 10/16(62.5%)in aontrol eyes at 6mo postoperatively(<i>P</i><0.05), and 10/13(76.9%)in study eyes and 10/16(62.5%)in control eyes at 12mo after surgery, respectively(<i>P</i><0.05). IOP decreased from 50.3Β±11.3mmHg and 49.7Β±10.7mmHg preoperatively in study and control groups to 15.7Β±1.1mmHg and 19.8Β±2.3mmHg respectively at 12mo of postoperation(<i>P</i><0.05). Early postoperative ocular hypotony developed in 3(18.8%)control eyes owing to excessive filtration but none of them in study eyes. Encapsulated bleb occurred in 6(37.5%)control eyes but only in 1(7.7%)study eyes.<p>CONCLUSION: In refractory glaucoma, trabeculectomy combined with amniotic membrane transplantation compared to trabeculectomy without amniotic membrane transplantation has higher success rates, better control of postoperative IOP, and less complication rates

In this paper, we study the nonlinear parabolic problem with p(x)p(x)-growth conditions in the space W1,xLp(x)(Q)W^{1,x}L^{p(x)}(Q), and give a regularity theorem of weak solutions for the following equation βˆ‚uβˆ‚t+A(u)=0\frac{\partial u}{\partial t}+A(u)=0 where A(u)=-\mbox{div} a(x,t,u,\nabla u)+a_0(x,t,u,\nabla u), a(x,t,u,βˆ‡u)a(x,t,u,\nabla u) and a0(x,t,u,βˆ‡u)a_0(x,t,u,\nabla u) satisfy p(x)p(x)-growth conditions with respect to uu and βˆ‡u\nabla u

Top quark decays with flavor violation in the B-LSSM

The decays of top quark tβ†’cΞ³,β€…β€Štβ†’cg,β€…β€Štβ†’cZ,β€…β€Štβ†’cht\rightarrow c\gamma,\;t\rightarrow cg,\;t\rightarrow cZ,\;t\rightarrow ch are extremely rare processes in the standard model (SM). The predictions on the corresponding branching ratios in the SM are too small to be detected in the future, hence any measurable signal for the processes at the LHC is a smoking gun for new physics. In the extension of minimal supersymmetric standard model with an additional local U(1)Bβˆ’LU(1)_{B-L} gauge symmetry (B-LSSM), new gauge interaction and new flavor changing interaction affect the theoretical evaluations on corresponding branching ratios of those processes. In this work, we analyze those processes in the B-LSSM, under a minimal flavor violating assumption for the soft breaking terms. Considering the constraints from updated experimental data, the numerical results imply Br(tβ†’cΞ³)∼5Γ—10βˆ’7Br(t\rightarrow c\gamma)\sim5\times10^{-7}, Br(tβ†’cg)∼2Γ—10βˆ’6Br(t\rightarrow cg)\sim2\times10^{-6}, Br(tβ†’cZ)∼4Γ—10βˆ’7Br(t\rightarrow cZ)\sim4\times10^{-7} and Br(tβ†’ch)∼3Γ—10βˆ’9Br(t\rightarrow ch)\sim3\times10^{-9} in our chosen parameter space. Simultaneously, new gauge coupling constants gB,β€…β€ŠgYBg_{_B},\;g_{_{YB}} in the B-LSSM can also affect the numerical results of Br(tβ†’cΞ³,β€…β€Šcg,β€…β€ŠcZ,β€…β€Šch)Br(t\rightarrow c\gamma,\;cg,\;cZ,\;ch).Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures, published in EPJC. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1803.0990
