La topique de la fureur est omniprésente dans la tragédie française du xvie siècle. L'examen des textes théoriques antiques et renaissants qui ont traité de la notion de fureur montre que celle-ci est toujours envisagée de manière duelle : la folie furieuse, ou manie, à la source des actes criminels, et la fureur divine, ou délire de l'inspiré, qui génère une parole créatrice et féconde. La fureur dans la tragédie humaniste est également double : fureur divine et fureur guerrière, fureur criminelle et fureur «civile», constituent les deux faces d'une même disposition. La topique de la fureur sert ainsi admirablement la mise en scène des troubles politiques et religieux de cette seconde moitié de siècle.Topic of fury is omnipresent in sixteenth century french tragedy. The examination of theory on this notion reveals that it is always presented with a double face: fury, or mania, is responsible of criminal actions, and divine frenzy generates a creative discourse, poetic or prophetic. Fury in humanist tragedy is also double: divine frenzy and war fury is virtually creative, but can also be a murderous poison, when aimed against itself. Topic of fury is thus admirably suitable for the representation of religious troubles in sixteenth century France

Online Assemblies: Civic Technologies Reshaping the Public Space

Speaking or writing of political assemblies tends to evoke the action of people gathering to deliberate, or the spaces in which this deliberation might take place. One thing that is often overlooked, however, is the fact that these spaces can be digital. Online assemblies have become more widespread in recent years; from the first Web forums to civic technologies specifically designed to host collective political debates. As digital services affect our possibilities for political mobilization and participation, I will here attempt to define the qualities specific to online assemblies, and to identify several patterns and continuities in the design features of civic technologies offering online spaces for debate
