Tourism supply chain & strategic partnerships for managing the complexity in tourism industry
The paper aims to investigate the possible relationship between Tourism Supply Chain and Strategic Partnership, read as a way to reduce and
better manage the complexity in Tourism Industry. This last has been analysed under multi-disciplinary approaches (economic, sociological,
psychological, anthropological and geographic) to better understand its main components. A synthesis of origin of Tourism Supply Chain term
was provided. VRIO framework and PEST analysis was used with the aim to better understand the strategic decision of integration the chain with a
single or multiple rings. Starting from this, a theoretical framework from a holistic analysis is provided
Entanglement entropy and quantum field theory: a non-technical introduction
In these proceedings we give a pedagogical and non-technical introduction to
the Quantum Field Theory approach to entanglement entropy. Particular attention
is devoted to the one space dimensional case, with a linear dispersion
relation, that, at a quantum critical point, can be effectively described by a
two-dimensional Conformal Field Theory.Comment: 10 Pages, 2 figures. Talk given at the conference "Entanglement in

Entanglement negativity in quantum field theory
We develop a systematic method to extract the negativity in the ground state
of a 1+1 dimensional relativistic quantum field theory, using a path integral
formalism to construct the partial transpose rho_A^{T_2} of the reduced density
matrix of a subsystem A=A1 U A2, and introducing a replica approach to obtain
its trace norm which gives the logarithmic negativity E=ln||\rho_A^{T_2}||.
This is shown to reproduce standard results for a pure state. We then apply
this method to conformal field theories, deriving the result E\sim(c/4) ln(L1
L2/(L1+L2)) for the case of two adjacent intervals of lengths L1, L2 in an
infinite system, where c is the central charge. For two disjoint intervals it
depends only on the harmonic ratio of the four end points and so is manifestly
scale invariant. We check our findings against exact numerical results in the
harmonic chain.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy applied to a cholecystoparietal fistula: How to treat a rare complication of a common condition - a case report
A cholecystoparietal fistula is an uncommon complication of gallstone disease as a result of neglected gallbladder disease). The subcutaneous abdominal wall abscess, derived from this condition, might be wide and hard to treat, especially in elderly and debilitated patients. The best management of cholecystoparietal fistula depends on its etiology and may require medical, surgical, or endoscopic treatment. Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) is a valuable support therapy that can improve the prognosis of the disease and the patient’s outcome.
We report the case of an 89-year-old female patient affected by a spontaneous cholecystoparietal fistula with a wide abdominal wall abscess treated by a one-stage surgical approach combined with NPWT over the resulting skin loss
Entanglement properties of quantum spin chains
We investigate the entanglement properties of a finite size 1+1 dimensional
Ising spin chain, and show how these properties scale and can be utilized to
reconstruct the ground state wave function. Even at the critical point, few
terms in a Schmidt decomposition contribute to the exact ground state, and to
physical properties such as the entropy. Nevertheless the entanglement here is
prominent due to the lower-lying states in the Schmidt decomposition.Comment: 5 pages, 6 figure
