Un des liens entre obĂ©sitĂ©, rĂ©sistance Ă lâinsuline et diabĂšte de type 2 incrimine les acides gras non estĂ©rifiĂ©s (AGNE) issus de lâhydrolyse des triglycĂ©rides dans le tissu adipeux. Une part importante de ces AGNE est rĂ©-estĂ©rifiĂ©e immĂ©diatement en triglycĂ©rides. La rĂ©-estĂ©rification requiert la glycĂ©ronĂ©ogenĂšse ou synthĂšse de glycĂ©rol-3-phosphate qui, notamment Ă jeun, provient de substrats non glucidiques. Plus le recyclage des AGNE est important, moins ils sont libĂ©rĂ©s. La glycĂ©ronĂ©ogenĂšse et lâexpression de son enzyme clĂ©, la PEPCK-C, sont sĂ©lectivement induites par les thiazolidinediones hypolipidĂ©miantes et antidiabĂ©tiques qui rĂ©duisent ainsi lâefflux des AGNE, leur taux circulant et lâinsulinorĂ©sistance

A large sample of ultracool dwarfs with DENIS
International audienceWe will present a large sample of 300 very late M and L dwarfs, identified by analysing 5700 square degrees of DENIS data. The sample is complete for objects redder than I-J=3.0 (M8) and brighter than I=18, and thus statistically well defined. It is an excellent basis for studies of the disk population of very low mass stars and brown drawfs, allowing clean determinations of the luminosity function, mass function, and multiplicity statistics
